**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

I never got an email when I ordered but I was told I'd receive one when it shipped (regular AT&T site)
I ordered 16g at the same day (7/20) in Boston. I used the Bank of America debit card then there was a $211.4 on the record. 3 days later, the record disappeared. I went BOA and they said this transaction is just off the screen but not canceled. They were just waiting the " Demand for payment " from ATT. Then ATT person said they will not deduct the money from the account until the order is processed.
My concern is all about the operational risk and don't want my order get cancelled. Otherwise, i got kill myself

Don't panic, this is normal procedure. They do that to make sure you have the means to pay, just so they won't waste their time fulfilling your order since you won't have money anyway.
The money was put back to your account, since they just temporarily held on to it. When they ship, that's when they'll really withdraw the money from your bank account for goooooood

My money was held immediately when I placed my order on Monday and it was just returned to my account today.
I have been checking all day in the hopes that I'll see the backorder status come off. Didn't seem to out of question since others that ordered on Friday got their shipping info Tuesday/Wednesday. Looks like I'll be waiting until next week to get my shiny new 32 giger
Anyone that has already received their phone or shipping info get it later in the day? I am wondering about what time I should give up the hope that I'll receive it tomorrow

I ordered my iphone late that night, around 9 central. I wonder if my iphone will come on saturday or if I would wait for monday

I was wondering... my Apple store has a bunch of iPhone 4s in stock. If I call and cancel my order, can I still get subsidized pricing through the Apple store? Would canceling my order take away the two year agreement that I signed?
I would just wait it out, but I ordered on 7/22, and it's killing me knowing there's a whole bunch of iPhones right down the street from me.

Quick question about AT&T Premier Business accounts:
I know that I can't purchase my iPhone 4 through Apple because of my Premier Business account, but what about other 3rd party stores? Best Buy, Walmart, Radio Shack, etc? The AT&T around my current location is absolutely horrible, and would prefer not to deal with them.

Same here bud. my 16gb in store 7/18 purchase is now off back order.....just waiting on shipping details.

The 32ers aren't suffering, they are getting the phones shipped out in a few business days.
If you don't need to order through AT&T then cancel your order and go buy from Apple.
If you cancel then you will have to wait for your upgrade eligibility to resume, which may take 3 days. I tried the same, but ended up with maintaining my AT&T store order.

Yeah thats not as bad as the time i bought atv tires online. The charge disappeared and then didn't reappear until a week after i received the tires.
