WHaaa!! i ordered a 16gb on the same day and im still on backorder.
i should've gotten the 32gb!

I believe so(shipping information is with my father since I was out of town), it's in Fort Worth right now and I live in Houston, so I imagine I'll receive it tomorrow
ordered my 16GB by phone on July 20...had to wait until July 22nd to receive AT&T terms and conditions email, to which i had to reply "I Accept" before my order could be processed. It is now the evening of Aug 1st and the online status still shows in progress on backorder. mine is also a new AT&T account, porting my number over from T-Mobile.
So I'm assuming when you say it's "off backorder" that simply means it's about to ship right?

You are seriously better off canceling and ordering a 32GB or going to an Apple store. At this rate you are probably looking at atleast 1 week wait time.
Ugh Screw AT&T. My Premier order placed last month shipped with Standard Overnight but my AT&T store order on 7/20 says it was shipped with FedEx 2Day Service. And no Fedex doesn't ship on Sundays.
FedEx 2 Day Service. Just picked up from Fort Worth Texas. I live in Killeen, Texas. Which is 3 hours away. *excited*

I have a non-premier account and didn't have a shipping option to select from when I ordered. However, it is shipping "standard overnight".

I'm in the same boat as you. What's worse is I dropped my 3G and broke the screen the other night (weird timing, I know) so I'm phone-less until the new one arrives. Please let today be the day!
I ordered a 16 gig in AT&T store non premiere on July 23rd.
I am not a employee of FedEx UPS DHL or USPS so what is the standard way that they ship to store? Will it be 1 day or 2 day shipping? Or does it vary on the store?
I had them ship to store since I won't have anyone home to sign for it.

8/2 8/3 8/4 night, it is completely 3 day. ATT said it is shipped yesterday. It is actually 4 day
Mine shows my package was picked up in Fort Worth, TX @ 6:00 AM this morning. Scheduled delivery by Wednesday, August 4 @ 7:00 PM. I would have thought it would be here by Tuesday since it's coming from TX to North MS, but I'm just happy it's on the way.
No carrier picks up on a Sunday. A company can create a shipment, but the shipment will not get picked up until Monday on the regular pickup time.
It is 2 day because it leaves on Monday, travels monday and tuesday and is ready to be delivered first thing Wednesday. 8/2 to 8/3 is one day, and 8/3 to 8/4 is the second day. That is how 2 day shipping works.
