In the same boat live chat agent claimed that my order is indeed backordered and it will be 21-28 days wtf! Ordered 7 am PST so maybe you guys with white 16 and still showing backorder can list down your times and compare.
people who ordered with ATT over the phone have had no updates at all.. so people with tracking numbers and pending shipment, please relax. by all means i think you'll get your phone in two days. were the ones who need to worry![]()
was your date ordered the 10/10 or the 10/7
I ordered over the phone at 12:23am PST on the 7th, and I got my TC email at 12:24 and my confirmation at 3am. Got my shipping notice at 3 this morning. 16gb white 4S

Thats not what the chat rep told me. He said it is backordered per the web page says. I have another black 16 that already shipped. What time did you order?

So I pre-ordered Friday AM from the store and the order is sitting in back-ordered status. I spend an hour on with Premier & the store... 3 managers told me the same thing... and it's not good news.
1.) Pre-Orders are "low priority" - orders will be fulfilled for first 200K customers that made the cutoff friday 10/7, after that you are considered in the 3rd wave anywhere from 14-32 days.
2.) Based on iPhone4 last year, the priority is for in-store stock so the majority of iPhones are being made available in-store rather than pre-order, that's why so little stock is allocated to pre-orders.
The in-store rep then said that if you show up at the store to get a phone and you pre-order they won't let you have it, We would have to have canceled the pre-order first and had the upgrade flag removed from the account prior to 10/14 or they will turn you away.
So a big F-U from AT&T on this... pre-orders are given low priority? that's strait from 3 managers.![]()

if you meant noon, then you are one of the very few lucky ones. most of us are stuck in the dark.
