AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

As much as I believe this you also have to balance it out due to the fact in store people will want you to go to them since they get a commission.

I pre-ordered from the store... and they knew that so already got my commission.

Hope you guys are right - but not feeling confident, why would AT&T be clearly stating it won't shipping for 21-28 days... call their PH # and it's the first thing... if you pre-ordered it will ship in 21-28, if you want it sooner come down to the store on 10/14... right on the 1-866-499-8008 premier line as soon as you call.

About hour later hear the doorbell ring.....look out the window and see a ups truck in the driveway! Could it be here already!? The excitement builds as i almost perish rushing down the stairs.....only to sign for a unrelated box for the gf

I called FedEx and they just told me that there was some problem with AT&T's computers affecting the tracking numbers. I should try and track again tomorrow as that is when the boxes are scheduled to leave their facility. What info did they give you?

Iyeshia Smith: "Backordered" normally means that there is not sufficient inventory to satisfy an order. However, since the iPhone 4S is not released until 10/14/2011, every pre-order will show as backordered, there is no stock officially showing in the system until that date.

So if my phone shipped UPS do I need to sign or is that just for Fedex?

I was able to print out a signature authorization page to sign and leave on the door to allow the driver to leave the phone.

32Gb white 4S pre ordered on 10/7 in the afternoon sadly, but my status has said "In Progress & Pending Shipment" since the day that I first checked on my order which was around Sunday I think. My order number is pretty low, which I think means that there aren't many people in front of me in line for that particular AT&T store that I went in and pre ordered from.. hoping for the best, which is ship out today or tomorrow and receive on Friday.

BTW, NOBODY ELSE's pre order e mail said "Your iPhone will ship in approximately 14-21 days"? Everyone seems to have been told that they'll get it by the 14th.. I was even told by the associates in the store that I wouldn't be getting it for 14-21 days.

we are in the same boat. but don't lose hope because if we receive our tracking number by tomorrow, we still have a great chance to receive it thrusday.

if no tracking tomorrow, then we are buttf*****d

it will be shipped for 10-14 delivery?

Anytime after that is 21-28 days.



However, I'm taking what the customer service reps tell me with a grain of salt.

Good News!!!!!!!!!!!

Even though my fedex tracking number would not give me any information, I called FedEx and they were able to tell me that they have it at a FedEx location in Fort Worth Texas. He said it should leave from there tomorrow. I'm holding out hope that it will be here tomorrow.

AT&T, however has been worthless. They don't know anything about anything.

I ordered mine on Monday afternoon, accepted the terms and conditions shortly after, and I still can't view my order status on att.com

The reps I have talked to have said that it is because I placed the order over the phone, and that everything is being processed correctly. However, still not being able to view my order status online is very disheartening. Anybody else in this same boat?

WHen I called customer care, there was a pre-recorded message stating that if you placed an order online or in-store, you already accepted the terms and conditions at that point.

Nice congrats... I'm wondering if there's any pattern to the tracking numbers, i.e. the early AM orders are getting tracking... but has anyone that ordered between noon & 5:30pm received a tracking number?
