AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

All you have to do is start at the top of the last or 2nd to last page. Every other post is saying the same thing lol.
Where does it show 21-28 days backorder? ATT order status site only shows a column 'Backordered' and has 1 under it.

I got my order in (also 64gb, White) about 15 minutes before you, but FINALLY got a tracking number on the website today. It isn't traceable yet, but it's a start!
Have you checked the website or called customer service?
I'm inclined to believe that their customer service really doesn't always know what they're doing, so the website may be your best bet.
still nothing, backordered on both black 16GB and white 32GB, ordered at an AT&T store at 12pm. This sucks. I'm starting to think that Apple pushes out some code to break old phones, my 3G just keeps getting worse. Can barely even open an app without it force quitting, sometimes it takes 2-3 tries. Now it's looking like my 4S isn't coming any times soon.

My little guy, a 16gb white model, entered Alaska this afternoon, and left there about 90 minutes ago. Next stop? Nobody knows... but last stop is New Jersey on Friday! 😀
Check on their regular website for your order update. I was stuck in the same boat as you but when I checked the regular website I found out my shipped.

I've given up hope for getting mine on time. It's times like these I really wish I switched to Verizon. I mulled it over, but then just decided to stay with AT&T. Big mistake. It's like they just don't give a care about their iPhone customers. They used to care about us, until they lost exclusivity. It should be the other way around. It's like they rode the iPhone wave for as long as they could, then they just quit.

Hopefully I love it! I individually manage about 60 iMac's and 50+ MacBooks at one of my three campuses at work. I personally have a Mac Mini, an iPad 1, and an iPad 2. Another department I individually manage is getting 270+ iPad's. I work for a school district, obviously lol. It seems like I was meant to get this device long ago! 😱
Back on topic though, lol. Hopefully there are no delays! :-D
same here except next it stops at louisville kentucky (but mine has been there FOR 2 WHOLE DAYS!!!!!) hope you don't suffer the same fate as me i thought i was getting mine early

ok I just talked to a intelligent guy at FedEx and he said our "5" orders are a bulk shipment on hold in a trailer at FedEx and they are gonna start scanning them on the 13th so I'm guessing the midnight shift will be tasked with that and once its scanned our tracking will be updated and if we have overnight shipping our phones will be delivered friday or maybe sooner
so this is the most info I have attained from any person today this morning I was told I would have my phone delivered to me tomorrow at this point I can just wish but at least I know for sure friday I will have it

Has your bank account been charged yet? I had the original hold placed on my account when the order was placed but the hold is gone and now it says shipped with tracking number but I still have not been charged.

Probably something like 2-4 weeks I imagine. Apple Store is showing 1-2 weeks, but after the first run supply, I bet the carriers might have an extra delay.

Ordered over the phone around 12:00 PM EST on the 7th. No tracking number yet, but have all zeros in the backorder column. Praying it gets shipped out tomorrow and arrives by friday. I'm roughing it with an LG flip phone since monday after selling my iPhone 4 to Gazelle. I am going into withdrawal. Anyone else have a similar situation with their order status?😕

Dang people...I hope people in other countries or among the less fortunate here in the US never read this forum. Some of you are acting like 4 year olds and bitching about not getting a phone when you want it. The sad truth is 95% of you will have it Friday (regardless of not being able to track it yet). God forbid it's not in your hands by lunchtime, as you will likely start running every UPS/FedEx truck you see on your way to lunch into a ditch to make sure they don't have your phone onboard. For those of you who did wait too long to order, did you not read the news when the last 3 iPhones and 2 ipads were released? They always sell out and there is always more demand than product. That's why some of us stay up late (or get up early) to preorder if we want one early. Them selling out the first day is not some new and unexpected occurrence. Do I expect mine Friday? Yes. Will I burn down the closest apple store/FedEx terminal/AT&T kiosk if it does not make it? Unlikely.
