AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

Now the AT&T website is showing updated order info. Including tracking numbers.
Because you haven't read the hundred posts that say their orders were through UPS.
Mine hasn't updated. Still "In Progress" "Pending Shipment" and 1 under backordered
I was wondering this myself. Mine is coming UPS also. Mine was "backordered" until some time today. Now it shows "shipped" via UPS and has a tracking #. That # of course turns up nothing on the UPS site. It shipped 10/11/11. Wonder if it's arriving on Friday?
Can you cancel your order and line up in a store at this point?
I ask because I too have an order made through AT&T over phone and given these estimates, I think I'll have better luck at an Apple store...
No, actually i order mine later afternoon around 5pm in a at&t store.... Nothing has been update yet.. nothing~ still 1 on back order and pending shipment~ so you still have a better chance. I've seen people order 11pm, 10pm etc already has shipping info... so don't know what's going on~
Ordered mine 10:30am on the 7th at AT&T Retail. My 64GB White still has a 1 under the backorder. I really don't know what to think. Getting worried
Same here (have three on order).
All three still showing with 1 under back-order. I wouldn't worry tough. We'll probably get shipping numbers tomorrow. And if not, one more week will not kill me.

No, but it will make more of my hair fall out, and I will be generally cranky and miserable. Come to think of it, this will happen regardless of whether the iPhone gets here or not, so I'm ok...

You are not alone. My AT&T order has a UPS tracking number that appeared late last night and I received my Shipment Notifcation email from AT&T early this morning with AT&T activation steps.
Just like many other AT&T orders the UPS system has not updated to show the initial scan.
Do you happen to have a Foundation Account Number (FAN) attached to your account? It might be simular to how FedEx, DHL and USPS customers are being assigned specific carriers.

I got off work on Monday morning and ordered it on the 10th. lol. I talked to the guy from AT&T and he said I would "definitely have it by Friday." I couldn't believe it. I was extremely happy. I went to sleep. Woke up and saw that I had an email from AT&T that said. "Your iPhone will ship in approximately 21 to 28 days*. All orders are processed on a first come, first served basis" I knew it was too good to be true. I keep checking my order status and it's backordered still. No updates or shipping info yet I ordered the 64GB Black iPhone. I figured I would be getting it on Friday because my bank account is missing the amount that the phone would cost, however it's not in my transactions just yet. Sigh.

How can I check my order status on AT&T?
I have been to https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/ and tried logging in and clicking 'View All' under Orders. No order can be found, I received a confirmation email on the 7th, and ordered very early in the day.
How else can I check my order status, and is anyone else in this same situation?
