white iphone black iphone order

Ordered a 16 gb white iphone and a 16 gb black iphone at 7am pst. Black iphone says shipped with tracking number and white iphone still says backordered....
 
Can you cancel your order and line up in a store at this point?

I ask because I too have an order made through AT&T over phone and given these estimates, I think I'll have better luck at an Apple store...
At this point it might be very risky to cancel since there is very litte time to return your Upgrade Eligibility if you are an upgrading customer.

If you are a current customer, what SMS Txt message do you get when you call *639#

If you are a new customer there is less risk but you still have a chance to get to the front of the Apple line to be denied an iPhone 4S due to your pending new contract with AT&T.

Try using different verification numbers. I originally used my order number and got that message. Then I tried my wireless number and it worked.
I've tried doing that :/

I also have called AT&T several times and each time they tell me it's still "processing," but I have a hard time believing that. The phone-in order status won't recognize it either, and I haven't received any emails since the Terms and Conditions.
 
soooo, i must be the only one who didnt order on the 7th then...? Mine still says 1-2 weeks. Its sad being in the dark about when im actualy going to get it. At least most of you know youll be setting it up and smiling on friday.
 
Ordered 32gb white iP4S on Friday at about 2:12am via AT&T online. My order switched to "Shipped" early this afternoon and I received the shipping confirmation email about an hour or so ago. YAY!!!!!!

It's shipping via UPS, which totally blows. My packages always come beat up and abused, as well as super late (like 8:30pm sometimes!)

I'm with you. I have no clue when I'm getting it. At least you weren't told you'd have it on release day! :p
 
still no update for me, still says

processing, pending shipment, qty backordered 1.

No tracking info or email either.

Ordered 10am oct 7th in store. Was one of the first preorders of that store. iphone 4s 16 white
 
I have tracking numbers but never received the email or text notifying me of shipment. Has this happened to anybody else? I'm guessing I'll get the email when FedEx actually has possession of the package and scans it.

I ordered over the phone on 10/10 and accepted the terms and conditions right afterward. MyAT&T shows that the upgrade has been used...

I get that message but just ordered several hours ago today.

yeah you really begin to notice that after reading this for the past 30 pages lol

I know so basically its all about luck, i mean why set up a pre-order system that doesn't recognize first come first serve base. i ordered 5 am set time 16g blk 4S and premiere still says pre-ordered and when i call no info just that it will be shipped soon. i am really confused how a billion dollar company seems a bit, edit, extremely unorganized?

  • Called 611 to place order Saturday, 10/8, at ~2:30 am ET
  • Received and accepted T&C email at 2:40 am ET
  • Received AT&T Post Call Notification email at 2:45 am ET
  • Received AT&T order status email at 8:55 am ET (shipping 14-21 days)
  • Backorder status changed from '1' to '0' on 10/12 around 7:00 am ET
  • Checked order status 10/12 at 5:20 pm ET and now have Carrier "IPHONE-UPS" with tracking number
  • Qty Shipped = '0'
  • Received shipping email from AT&T on 10/12 at 8:32 pm ET
  • Status changed from 'In Progress' to 'Shipped'
  • Qty Shipped changed from '0' to '1'
  • UPS tracking 9th and 10th digits: '13' = Next Day Air Saver (perfect timing since I'm home by the time UPS delivers these packages)
  • Debit card authorization expires 10/13

Ordered (1) black 32GB 4S. Shipping to Florida, to address other than billing address, used debit card.

ETA: Small business Premier account with one line, eligible for upgrade in 20 months

well i am getting mine via ups but i don't think it be that different.....if you click on track shipment from the confirmation email from apple it takes you to the order status and basically refresh that every hour or so for any news
