AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

Your order takes 24 hours to post. I'm not sure why you're freaking out though, if you ordered today you're not going to get your iphone for awhile.
Mine finally went to 0 in the backorder column. Ordered premier on Friday at 7am. Att.com shows order date as the 8th. Just glad it went to 0 on the backorder which means a phone must have been allocated to me. Can't wait to meet it face to face in the next 2 days.
So it sounds like some poeple who ordered on the 8th wont be wating long after launch if their status' have been moving along, Ive just noticed that those of them who ordered on the 8th, did so through ATT. I ordered form Apple......
yep getting mine from ups and it is currently in louisville kentucky and I'm looking at a strong possibility of getting it tomorrow
Dude we have the exact same situation and even ordered at the same time 7am Pacific. Depends on who you believe chat rep said 21-28 days out and phone rep said white 16G will ship on 14th meaning probably getting it next week.

There are people that ordered the morning of the 7th that still don't know if they are getting their phone on Friday, and you are worried about the status of your order that you placed on the 10th? Most people just got tracking info for their orders today (that isn't updated in the system yet), so you can probably expect some progress in about a week lol
Exact same situation. Ordered in store on 7th at 10 AM. First order in the store. 32 GB White. Processing, Backordered, Pending Shipment. I feel your pain.
Yup. I went to a store and ordered three at 10:00 AM on Friday AM (in Houston), and my status is still showing as back-ordered with a (1) code for all three devices (all 16GB, one white & two black). We'll just have to see what happens tomorrow.
Where you at in Houston? I am in Houston and ordered in store as well, but I have tracking numbers.

I have 1 of 2 tracking numbers, but have not received any texts or emails notifying me of shipping/activation procedures.
I have both a black and a white one coming via FedEx...so that is more evidence against that theory
I got a wireless order confirmation email today, sent to the old email address (changed it a few days ago when I never rec'd the T and C). It has a link to check status but that never works, no matter what I input.
The email said I would get another email as soon as "we complete shipping."
So I believe it will arrive Friday, it's just their notification system that is messed up.

Ordered at 10am cdt on the 7th, after a whole lot of bs with various websites. I ended up ordering on the att site, have a premier acct. I haven't seen a status change since saturday, when it went to processing/backordered/pending shipment. People keep saying I *should* see it on the 14th, but my hopes are fading fast. Meanwhile I'm stuck with a crappy dumbphone because the 3gs is long gone. If I didn't have a discount, unlimited data and a good texting plan already grandfathered, I would be switching after all the BS I've had to deal with the last few days.

He said he ordered his phones in Houston...and if he worked for Apple, do you think he'd go to a retail location to order his phone

-Ordered my iPhone 4S white 16gb on Friday at 5:30pm over the phone.
-Received a text on Monday from AT&T saying " An email to accept AT&T Terms and Conditions will arrive shortly. To receive your iPhone on 10/14, pls. accept T&C?s by midnight tonight EDT.
-Received email shortly after text and accepted Terms and Conditions at 6:00pm CST.
-Called AT&T a billion times and got different answers from everyone from "it will be there Friday" to "21-28 days to cover our asses" to "your order wasn't placed until the 12th, oh wait I see that it was the 7th now."
-Received an email today summing up my order and giving me a shipping reference number but not a tracking number. The email said that I will receive the tracking number shorty.
-When I call, the only info I receive is that my order is processing. WTF does that mean!!!!!!!
-If I track it online or over the automated system I get this
"OS001: We apologize for the inconvenience. We cannot complete your request at this time. Please wait at least 24 hrs from placing your order, before checking the status of your order online. If the problem persists, please call us at 1-888-333-6651 for further assistance. NOTE: An email may have been sent to your email address on file. Please check your email which may have additional information about your order."
My question is... WHAT THE ****** AT&T? If there are so many pre-orders why the hell wouldn't you have a notice or email or something explaining that if you order is doing this... then this is whats going on and when you will get it.
But no... have a million people in the dark about whats going on with their phone. ****** YOU!!!!
