Ive had my tracking since this morning from the website but I finally just got the email. Lets do this!
Where you at in Houston? I am in Houston and ordered in store as well, but I have tracking numbers.
I got a wireless order confirmation email today, sent to the old email address (changed it a few days ago when I never rec'd the T and C). It has a link to check status but that never works, no matter what I input.
The email said I would get another email as soon as "we complete shipping."
So I believe it will arrive Friday, it's just their notification system that is messed up.
white, 32 gb, ordered Friday morning on the phone with ATT
Ok-
-Ordered my iPhone 4S white 16gb on Friday at 5:30pm over the phone.
-Received a text on Monday from AT&T saying " An email to accept AT&T Terms and Conditions will arrive shortly. To receive your iPhone on 10/14, pls. accept T&C?s by midnight tonight EDT.
-Received email shortly after text and accepted Terms and Conditions at 6:00pm CST.
-Called AT&T a billion times and got different answers from everyone from "it will be there Friday" to "21-28 days to cover our asses" to "your order wasn't placed until the 12th, oh wait I see that it was the 7th now."
-Received an email today summing up my order and giving me a shipping reference number but not a tracking number. The email said that I will receive the tracking number shorty.
-When I call, the only info I receive is that my order is processing. WTF does that mean!!!!!!!
-If I track it online or over the automated system I get this
"OS001: We apologize for the inconvenience. We cannot complete your request at this time. Please wait at least 24 hrs from placing your order, before checking the status of your order online. If the problem persists, please call us at 1-888-333-6651 for further assistance. NOTE: An email may have been sent to your email address on file. Please check your email which may have additional information about your order."
My question is... WHAT THE ****** AT&T? If there are so many pre-orders why the hell wouldn't you have a notice or email or something explaining that if you order is doing this... then this is whats going on and when you will get it.
But no... have a million people in the dark about whats going on with their phone. ****** YOU!!!!

I just hate talking to AT&T on the phone because they are all idiots and when you think you just moved forward, they send you back two steps.
How can they not tell their employee's anything more detailed that somewhere between friday and 28 days from then, even though we told you it would be there on the 14th.

I am in the EXACT same situation! It's very disconcerting. I attempted to order a black 32GB over the phone but it ended up being a white I later found out. Oh well, the white ones are very nice as well, so it'll be a good change. In addition to not being able to access the order status without calling (they always say it's "in progress"), I received the original email at 6PM although I ordered at 9AM.
Anyways, I ordered an unsubsidized phone, so they claim I won't have to do the T&C as they are only associated with contracts.
We shall see on Friday. I hope we get emails with tracking numbers, because I'm worried that they have no clue when my order actually counts as being ordered. I wish I knew what info THEY use to look up my order, so I could do it too.

it was a stretch for me to even attempt to order thru att instead of apple.....I would never under any circumstances order an iPhone over the phone.
Nah, I changed it to that because that is what I feel like after this whole ordering process, like I'm in an infinite loop...![]()
I live in south carolina. Mine shipped from China 10/9. It got to Kentucky yesterday, 10/11, at 900am and has not moved yet! Whats up with that?

It's really simple: If you wanted your own personal iPhone 4S, the newest generation of the best selling mobile device on the planet, to be delivered on the release date (or before for those lucky few), you probably should have made it a point to order it Friday before late afternoon/evening, Saturday, or Sunday.
AT&T has made it pretty clear that you are ok if you ordered before 5:30pm EDT on Friday, but that is only if you didn't have other issues pending, such as:
- You didn't accept your T&C
- Your credit card was declined
- You trusted someone over the phone or in the store to place your order for you
- You wanted to port your number
- You wanted to ship the phone to a different address than the billing address of your credit card.
I know some people are getting orders through that were not placed before the deadline, and some people that had issues such as the ones I listed above are also getting their phones on Friday. However, if you ordered after the cutoff or were cutting it close and chose to order over the phone or in the store, please just deal with the fact that you will likely not be receiving your phone(s) on the 14th.
