My phone just went from Fort Worth TX to Indianapolis IN. Does that sound like the right path to get to California?
 
I know where California is, I live there. I was just asking a rhetorical question to bring up the point that it is going in the wrong direction.

Remember, everything is being shipped next day air so it doesn't really matter which direction your phone is going right now.

It will be in the air by tonight and you'll have it tomorrow.
 
UPS doesn't require a signature for the phones do they? It doesn't say so in the tracking info.

i talked to UPS over the phone for iPhone 4S shipment and he said UPS need signature on delivery for all iPhone delivery.

For those of us who show leaving Ft Worth at 10:49 I'm pretty sure it is this flight which originated at the Alliance Airport in Ft Worth and is on its way to Indianapolis.

it looks like there is only one UPS flight from DFW to EWR today. which is at 4:56 pm so my tracking is not going to move i guess till evening.
 
We have been waiting 16 months so far.
Is 2-3 more weeks gonna kill anyone on this thread?

Kill? No.

But it will absolutely have an impact on how much older models will sell for on eBay. I would much rather put my iPhone 4 up for auction tomorrow than wait 3 weeks, when eBay is four times as saturated with that model than it is right now.

And on a side note, I didn't read through all 150+ pages... I saw a news article that hinted that AT&T will have quantities in store for walk-in customers tomorrow. Anyone know if there is any merit to this?
 
Fedex doesnt deliver priorty packages on saturday. Only Saturday packages.
I knw bc I work there . We did ship heavy bulk from apple yesterday. About 8,000 Nashville tn

Perhaps Apple knows the logistics of Fedex and UPS and will utilize Fedex for Friday Priority deliveries and use UPS and possibly USPS for Saturday Priority deliveries. I mean they've done this for years now!

Personally I'm starting to get worried. I haven't freaked out until today when I still don't have shipping info. Let me ask you guys this, people that still haven't gotten shipping information what did your order number start with? Mine starts with 740*******. I noticed other people that have had their phones shipped have orders starting with 10****** so I'm thinking I missed the boat here. Thoughts?

Was wondering if there was a order # pattern for those with issues. I ordered at 3:50am EST on Friday and my order # began with 130.

Later on Friday morning about 11am or so I got an email saying that the funds were not available therefore my order did not process, was on hold, and I had until the 14th to rectify the situation or my order would be cancelled. They were right...Funds were NOT available (using my PayPal debit card). I had to rush to transfer the funds from one acct. to the next and then called at&t. I was on hold for 20-30 minutes until a women picked up. She asked me for new payment info and I told her to try the same card again. She confirmed that all was good and the payment went through. I had my paypal acct. open on my computer and as soon as she said all was good, i saw the hold placed on the funds immediately. I got a confirmation email with an order # and it was immediately showing ordered 1, Backordered 1. Over the next 2 days I got the same email stating that the funds were not available and the order was on hold. I was freaking out. I called back and when it asked for my order # I puched it in and it said my order was processing. I held for a CSR who also told me all was ok. I got the last of those emails on Monday. So I thought i was effed. My order status wasn't changing and it showed back ordered. Then on Tuesday the BO disappeared and it said pending shipment. Stayed that way until yesterday when I finally got a tracking #. Today my shipment is on time for tomorrow delivery and is leaving Texas as of this morning.

So I think I got lucky. But for all of you still showing "pending shipment" or Backordered, and who DID order before the "Cut Off". Don't give up hope just yet. These pre-orders can cause some weird stuff to happen..Just like me with the 3 emails about the lack of funds. It can be discouraging to see that kind of stuff but it's not always correct. And I'd be willing to bet that a lot of people that ordered before the cutoff and are still seeing bad news on their order status, will wind up getting their phones tomorrow.

But I'd be interested to know the order #'s of people that are having problems, that shouldnt be having problems.
 
Just checked my package progress, it has arrived in Indianaoplis. I am in Cincinnati, do you think they will deliver today? I am about couple hours away from Indianapolis. ** fingers cross **

Check this out.....

Ordered/upgraded to 2 new iphones last Friday through the local ATT store.
Received tracking numbers yesterday..this morning Fed Ex shows delivery by 3 tomorrow.

Just an hour ago are order was cancelled because of an address problem. Mailing address is a po box (no mail on my street) but UPS/Fed Ex comes to the house (frequently). Apparently ATT didnt put in the physical address correctly...put the po box in by mistake and now that fed ex has it, theyve returned it and the order is cancelled.

Heres the shocker....

ATT store calls me (before I can call them), apologizes and states that they will have 2 at the store for us tomorrow because of the screw up as they were notified by corporate of the problem. I guess there still is some customer service in America. I was on the fence about staying with ATT vs jumping to verizon....today I feel better about the decision.

ordered over phone friday morning. still no sign of tracking. i havent had the chance to bother ATT about it today
