AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

any real news if we accept the T&C a day later from order date on 10/7 (aunt order 8am mountain time) still getting the phones friday if it effects it?

hopefully i can get my aunt to call tonight and see what going on with that error when we try to type in the order number and phone number in the order status that it doesn't come up and there an error

if no trouble can somebody who accepted the T&C a day later call and see if it affect the shipping the phone for friday. i would call but they ask me what my account is and i don't have the info for my aunt and i'm on premier so its different. i would really appericate it thanks

I got a confirmation email with an order # and it was immediately showing ordered 1, Backordered 1. Over the next 2 days I got the same email stating that the funds were not available and the order was on hold. I was freaking out. I called back and when it asked for my order # I puched it in and it said my order was processing. I held for a CSR who also told me all was ok. I got the last of those emails on Monday. So I thought i was effed. My order status wasn't changing and it showed back ordered. Then on Tuesday the BO disappeared and it said pending shipment. Stayed that way until yesterday when I finally got a tracking #. Today my shipment is on time for tomorrow delivery and is leaving Texas as of this morning.

So I think I got lucky. But for all of you still showing "pending shipment" or Backordered, and who DID order before the "Cut Off". Don't give up hope just yet. These pre-orders can cause some weird stuff to happen..Just like me with the 3 emails about the lack of funds. It can be discouraging to see that kind of stuff but it's not always correct. And I'd be willing to bet that a lot of people that ordered before the cutoff and are still seeing bad news on their order status, will wind up getting their phones tomorrow.

But I'd be interested to know the order #'s of people that are having problems, that shouldnt be having problems.

Still seeing "backordered"

ordered on phone 11am 10/7. assured by CSR that i will have it, but never got tracking number or anything.

Order # is 110688730*****

It will not deliver today. It would have had to arrive in your city at the beginning of the day.
 
Add me to the list of pre-orders that are still backordered. A white 64 and black 64. Ordered at my local AT&T store on 10/7 at about 0930 Hawaii time, which is before the supposed 5pm EST cutoff. Kills me to see all these people with tracking numbers and such. For all I know, my phones are still in pieces yet to be assembled in China. We'll see...

Darn... Hopefully I will receive before noon tomorrow. Is it typically business will get their package earlier than residential? I had them ship to my work.
 
My iPhone has left fort worth this morning and is hanging out in Memphis as of 8:00A.M. this morning. Will probably be coming down to the town next to mine this evening with a delivery for tomorrow Woo!

But it will absolutely have an impact on how much older models will sell for on eBay. I would much rather put my iPhone 4 up for auction tomorrow than wait 3 weeks, when eBay is four times as saturated with that model than it is right now.

And on a side note, I didn't read through all 150+ pages... I saw a news article that hinted that AT&T will have quantities in store for walk-in customers tomorrow. Anyone know if there is any merit to this?

Yes they will have approx 50 phones per store. Depending on the area the store services of course.
 
I think the people calling AT&T CS are getting the run around. How about just waiting it out. When I talk to Siri tomorrow, maybe she will give definitive answers on all these issues and questions. I would trust that more than AT&T's customer service, lol.

About a month and half ago, my girlfriend asked AT&T when the new iPhone would be released. They told her, "We do not have any information available at the current time. However, the LG iPhone has just recently be released! I would advise checking to see if that is something that you would be interested in." ......you get the point. :rolleyes:

Here is how UPS/Fedex prioritize deliveries from earliest in day to latest.

1. Overnight Businesses
2. Overnight Residential.
3. Regular businesses
2. Regular residential.
 
I've also been going here to track flights -

I've just been going by departures and typing FX for FedEx and it gives me whatever current applicable flights there are departing from that airport for Fedex.. seems to be working pretty well. I'm east coast and there is a flight from Indianapolis to Boston later this afternoon so I'm hoping that will be the flight with my phone on it. :)

There are also scheduled flights today to Oakland, San Jose and Portland for West Coast folks.
 
I called FedEx to see if I can just go and pick up my order. They said they have to make at least 1 attempt. I don't get why I can't just go pick it up. I would think that would make the drivers job a little easier. They said I can call tomorrow morning so they can give me a better estimate of when the driver should arrive at my apartment.
 
don't really feel like going through and reading the past 20 pages, but wanted to see if there were any cases of anybody getting there phone today??? :)

What about standard overnight? Is this the same as overnight businesses?

I am on UPS Next Day Air Saver so looks like it will be 1. Overnight Businesses for me.

I also spoke with a fed ex rep and they said that if nodbody signs after the first attempt it gets dropped off at a near fed ex location when the driver is done with there run and it can be picked up that night. in my case the store is open till 8... so thats what i plan on doing tomorrow

Saw someone in the UK did and they posted a pic and I think I read some verizon folks were but I didn't follow up with that so I have no clue if that's true or not.

I noticed other people that have had their phones shipped have orders starting with 10****** so I'm thinking I missed the boat here. Thoughts?

Minse start with 7410****** and I'm backordered from online ordering. :(
