Dude, these are things I was personally told by att employees !!!
I ordered over the phone, and have NOT got tracking or anything!
I have been calling and TALKING to these people about 6 times since Monday morning, so PLEEEEEEZE don't say I'm making stuff up, I'm repeting exactly what I was told on the phone! :mad:

Yea i've been talking to many different reps on the phone everyday since Monday also and each one tells me something different, either good news or ****** news that they just need to tell everyone to cover their asses. Att reps have no credibility.
 
UPS Flight from DFW to EWR is delayed by 2 hrs.

schedule time: 3:10 pm Estimated time now: 4:56 pm

looks like lots of iPhone 4S coming from TX to NJ in this flight...
 
Still in backorder-purgatory... but chatted with Rep for first time since I'm concerned it's Thur PM and still sitting there.

here was the CSR's comments from AT&T:

you: Is it correct that those (like me) who placed the order early in 10/7 should be getting it by 10/14?
Agent: Yes. According to our information, preorders made by 4:30 pm Oct 7, will receive them on Oct 14.
you: ok, thank you.. finders crossed :) have an nice day
 
Scheduled FedEx flight from KIND to KRDU doesn't leave to 0315 CDT tomorrow morning so your phones will be enjoying the local sites for awhile.


Actually, my tracking just updated.

arrived at FEDEX location Indianapolis 10/13/11 at 1:39p.


and now at 3:39 pm it says "in transit"
 
My phone was in TX, now Indianapolis! and scheduled for tomorrow delivery. LMAO at everyone crying to AT&T like they owe you something hahahahaha.
oh and by the way i ordered my 16bg black on 10/9 @ 9am eastern from the AT&T website. Peace, and good luck nerds! :eek: :eek: :eek:
 
I just spoke with an AT&T CSR about my order, and I don't think I'll get my phone tomorrow.
I ordered over the phone with AT&T on 10/7 at 7:45am PST, but I did not get the T&C email until 10/10. My order status says my order was placed 10/11, and my phone is backordered with a 21-28 day wait.
The CSR said that it all depends on the date for acceptance of T&C, and even many early orders from 10/7 would not arrive tomorrow because AT&T did not send T&C emails for several days.

I'm sure if I call back, I'll get a different answer, but I have my doubts.
I'll go to lunch now, that seemed to work last time I was waiting for my order to show up in the system online. Maybe I'll come back to a shipping notification;)
 
Has anyone gone to the activation page. I don't have my phone and I cannot check my order status since I ordered over the phone but when I go to the activation page and select my number I can see that I have an IMEI number assigned. Would that mean that there is a phone reserved for me or can that be added later?

You would think that when att employees log on in the morning, they would all have a mandatory mass e-mail to read,
(to get their stories straight).

I have been told completely different things from different employees and supervisors over the week -
damn frustrating is what it is! :mad:
 
I ordered mine 2 days ago and it has shipped and it currently at DFW Airport, TX. Man, do I enjoy having rich parents with connections =]

Care to post your AT&T order status screen shot that shows a 10/11 purchase date, and related (censored tracking information)?

But seriously, My status hasn't changed and I ordered 11:30 AM CST, I'm :(

Same here.
I ordered in-store on Friday around 10:30 AM Central. Still with back-ordered status of "1".
 
I talked with one rep and she went to ask her manager and came back and said that if you ordered before 3:30 on Friday that you should get it tomorrow.

I talked to another guy through the 1-866-391-0749 # and he said that is shows backordered. He said what happens is that stores only get a certain # of phones for preorders. He also said that they're unloading them off at the warehouses and then sending them to the stores, so I would just have to wait and see if they updated my status for delivery tomorrow or if I would have to wait longer.

I am really frustrated with AT&T right now I ordered a 16gb white on 10/7 @ 8 am CST Recieved my conformation email at 8:06 am on 10/7 saying that my phone would be delivered on the 14th. My status still says backordered and when I called AT&T the lady told me that it is still processing. I just do not understand these people.

I just called the AT&T number given on the order status page and spoke to a rep. She asked me for the order #, then asked if I ordered directly through the store. "yes", I said. "OK, then we can't track it, you have to call the store directly. This # is only for e-orders". Is this accurate? I'm about to call the store and ask the deal about my back ordered status, but thought I'd see if anyone else received this response on the phone.

Long time lurker, first time poster :). Just wanted to post my tracking on my 16GB White & 16GB black iPhones... Pre ordered on Friday at 4am central thru AT&T premiere website. Received tracking for FedEx and as of 3pm eastern today both phones have departed from Indianapolis (en route to Chicago). This morning they were in Fort Worth. I would imagine they could get to Chicago and delivered by tonight but I won't be holding my breath and with await their arrival tmrw!:cool:
 
Still backordered. I've lost all hope. I'm not expecting shipment for at least another 1-2 weeks now. I am never trusting AT&T again. They have blatantly lied to me throughout this entire process. I'd really like to get my iPhone 4 on eBay ASAP so I can minimize my losses. I guess that's not happening.

Do you see any changes? Shipping notice? Info? Backorder went to 0??? Anything???? Im loosing my hope~~~ dam it!!! Order on launch day didn't have any freaking advantage!!! Just give me some info!! Sat, sun, mon, let it be, but at least give me some clue!!

I called and received this exact same response from a CSR. I haven't called my local store. If you call, let me know what they say. I'm not going to call, I'm sure they have no clue either.

Nope. NOTHING has changed for me since I ordered on 10/7. AT&T reps can't tell me anything except to wait for up to 5 weeks.
 
i talked to UPS over the phone for iPhone 4S shipment and he said UPS need signature on delivery for all iPhone delivery.

How did you get to talk to someone? I can't get a live person. I was hoping to get a more pinpointed time of delivery. I was hoping they could look at the route and determine a closer block of time mine would be delivered since I have to work tomorrow. I'd be willing to take a few hours from work.
