AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

My phone just went from Fort Worth TX to Indianapolis IN. Does that sound like the right path to get to California?

Actually, FedEx have several flights from Indianapolis to California:

FDX3715 to San Jose leaves at 1433 CDT
FDX3702 to Oakland leaves at 1510 CDT
FDX3745 to LA leaves at 1520 CDT
FDX3713 to San Diego leaves at 1520 CDT
FDX3727 to Ontario leaves at 1530 CDT

Alas, the flight to Minneapolis doesn’t leave until 353 CDT tomorrow morning so nothing to watch for me today. Guess I'll have to do some work.

I ordered mine over the phone on Friday at 5:30pm and received a text on Monday saying that if I accept terms and conditions email by midnight Monday night, then I will receive my phone on 10/14.
If ATT went out of their way to text me that, shouldn't I be getting my phone tomorrow?
Every time I call customer service reps, the usual answer I get from the more intelligent ones is that I very well could receive my order tomorrow and that my order is processing "ready to ship".
I haven't received a tracking info email outside of the email that I got telling me that the order is processing for shipping and i should receive tracking info shortly.

The ATT CSR's kept telling me that they won't receive tracking info for orders until they start shipping out tomorrow.

Has anyone ordered Friday 10/7 over the phone in the afternoon and not received shipping info yet and can't check the status online cause it won't show up?

Check your bank account and see if they charged you yet.. i had the same issue but i checked my bank account this morning and they charged me after a couple days of "processing transaction" and AT&T doesn't charge until right before they ship.

I have had the same issue also. I ordered by phone on Saturday. Credit card have a pre-authorization, but AT&T's website won't let me track it!

Almost everyone has had the same problem using their order number as the reference number to search. Try your mobile phone number instead, should work for you.

My phone is still in DFW as of 1 AM last night. Anyone get any updates from Dallas? I'm impatiently waiting for mine in New York.

Thanks to the poster who provided PackageMapping.com. According to it, mine departs DFW for MCO (Orlando).

FlightStats.com shows UPS flight 2292 estimated to touch down (Jesus) in Otown at 3:16 pm ET.

No change on my status for my in store AT&T order made in the early afternoon Friday.
Just a word to the wise though. Anyone who is canceling in a fit of panic (if you even can at this point) ought to reconsider. Because once you get to the store tomorrow and see the long lines with limited inventory inside the store, I'll bet you have that "Oh crap, what have I done?" moment. Better to keep the faith and hope for the best tomorrow.
What was weird was that the sales rep at the store was very firm in her two to three weeks statement. I chalked it up to the manager telling the employees to set low expectations. Now i'm starting to wonder if they actually new something. I'll never use that store again if they are selling them tomorrow to people on line and then I don't get mine for another week or three. We'll see what happens.

They had a hold for the iPhone price on the card since Friday but then yesterday morning they took it off.

pretty bad news for those who ordered by phone, but received the TC email after 530 eastern on friday (pretty much everyone)

i was on the phone with a manager rep. she was pretty nice, read everything off her screen, and even asked someone else regarding the TC issue.

basically, she told me i will not get my phone tomorrow. her senior stated that the TC had to be completed before 530. since i did not get mine until sunday, that was at all costs not possible.

there is also no way to cancel the order either. i will most probably upgrade using another family member line and refuse delivery when the 4S delivers. she stated the upgrade reverse process takes about 3 days after they get the phone back.

They are all sitting in FortWorth, Texas it seems like.

Estimated delivery date: Oct 14th by 3pm.
