My phone is sitting in Memphis somewhere. Thing is, it's in Memphis, but shipping via UPS...thought the UPS hub was in Louisville, KY, while the FedEx Hub is in Memphis. Anyway, it's showing delivery tomorrow, so hopefully nothing odd happens between here and there. Would kind of suck, but I'll get it eventually either way.

My pending charge has gone away and the final charge hasn't hit yet, which it probably will tomorrow or something. Not too worried about it since UPS has my phone right now. :)

Home?

Does everyone here work from home or something? Or are you taking the day off? How are you going to sign for the package?

Been trying to tell people that for 2 days -
no charge, no ship
been charged been shipped

pretty easy to understand, no?

actually both of my phones had a pending charge that fell off and I have tracking #'s and they are confirmed for tomorrow so that isn't the case for everyone.

i ordered mine at 7pm PT oct7 and they already charged me for it. so far i have only gotten the "in process" email. I really wouldnt mind too much if it ended up taking another week i just would like to know..would be nice if att could send an email out with any information or updates. I already tried looking up shipping info on fedex and ups but so far i've found nothing:/

Like others, I'm still showing my shipment being in Memphis, but now I have a scheduled delivery date of Friday. In looking back at the tracking reports others posted last summer when the iPhone 4 launched, this exactly mirrors what happened then. Anyone who's at this point, there's no need to worry!

Same thing here. as i mentioned before, FAAAAAAKKKK at&t at least give us some hint!! something!! (not a rep, because they give random info out of their head)

I talked to FedEx because I have 2 phones coming tomorrow and one tracking # has been updated a few times and the other has " Shipment information sent to FedEx" and that's it. They told me they are getting pallets full of phones from the 3 carriers so it is hard to keep the system 100% up to date but as long as your delivery date says tomorrow you will have it tomorrow. :)

I have the same problem with my AT&T account. If i go to wireless.att.com/order_status/ and search for it that way then it comes up for me

If I use the order status I get this error instead:
"OS001: We apologize for the inconvenience. We cannot complete your request at this time. Please wait at least 24 hrs from placing your order, before checking the status of your order online. If the problem persists, please call us at 1-888-333-6651 for further assistance. NOTE: An email may have been sent to your email address on file. Please check your email which may have additional information about your order. "

The funnest part of ordering something is being able to track it... they've stripped that from me. Unless of course it isn't moving yet...

What to do with other's iPhone 4S:

Waiting for SIRI...

Just goes to show you how crappy att's system is, (even after all these years).

Unacceptable that so many att customers still don't what the heck is up with their pre-orders

Up until this moment, im really mad with at&t. not for that so call on time and not on time, but giving us no hint what so ever about the pre-order. And if Sams clubs and tomorrow people lining up can have the phone on their hand, WHAT IS THE POINT OF PRE-ORDERING!!!! ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE OF US WHO ORDERED ON 10/7 !!!!!!

Wondering if there’s a methodical way in which FedEx and UPS are processing and shipping to those of us who made the “delivery on 10/14” cut – like is some computer crunching delivery zip codes and processing/confirming shipments FIRST to those in areas that might require more connections and effort for delivery, versus addresses in larger cities with presumably more delivery assets and those located in FedEx/UPS hubs – especially with such a large set of orders to deliver by one specific day.

Would be interested to hear from people in large cities and FedEx/UPS hubs that have received delivery confirmations as we can't see where most posters live.

I received confirmation of my 4s, 64GB, black, phone order on the Apple site around 1:30AM PST on Friday, and I’m kinda surprised I still show as “preparing for shipment” – I live in Portland, OR. With that said, I have no idea as to whether Portland would be considered to be an “easy to deliver to” city. :)

The FedEx/UPS tracking trick didn’t work for me, even with multiple number formats tried, but I suppose that makes sense as the charge to my credit card still hasn’t gone thru.

Ridiculous theory? Anyone with insight into FedEx/UPS?? Just a thought as I read through all the posts here and try to make sense of how this is working.

Still confident my phone will arrive on Friday and can’t wait!!!

I didn't read all that, but it looks like there is a UPS flight from DFW to Spokane at 3:23PM CST. My guess is the phone will be on there, go overnight to Portland, be on the delivery truck by 6AM.

So I spent 3 days on the phone with ATT confirming that my shipping address was successfully changed to my home, from my billing address. I called UPS to confirm only to find out that they are still shipping to the wrong address. I am waiting to speak with ATT now to see WTF happened.

Did this happen to anyone else?? I am about to lose it on ATT.

Samething happend to me, but the 5 or 6 CSR's stated that I would have to contact the shipper once I received my tracking number and have them change it or held at that time - which I knew was pretty much impossible. Luckily, the old address is only a few blocks from my current address, and the apt. manager left a note on the door to have all FedEx deliveries held at the office so she could call me to get it (Because I told her it was a VERY expensive gift, which of course its not, just an expensive iPhone!).

Of course if I get a delivery notice from FedEx and no phone call, I'll be making an un-announced trip to see her and/or the current residence.

Please stop making stuff up.
You do not work for AT&T.
You do not have the answers to everyones issues.
You do not realize that you are trolling.

Dude, these are things I was personally told by att employees !!!
I ordered over the phone, and have NOT got tracking or anything!
I have been calling and TALKING to these people about 6 times since Monday morning, so PLEEEEEEZE don't say I'm making stuff up, I'm repeting exactly what I was told on the phone!

I for one would like a tracking number !!!!!!!!

First Timer Here.....

Ordered mine early Friday AM, ATT online since Apple was down.

Got confirmation Email within minutes, another confirmation on Saturday, another on Sunday, then nothing until Wednesday which said my shipment was on 10/9. Looked on FedEx and they didn't have anything on it. Today its in Fort Worth with delivery to CA on 10/14.

Knowing that FedEx has a SW regional hub at Alliance Airport, Fort Worth (KAFW in airline parlance) I looked on Flight Aware to see where they have planes going to and when they depart, going west they run to LAX, Ontario, Oakland, Denver, Portland, most of those are big FedEx regional hubs. Flights depart about 3AM from KAFW and get to destinations in the morning for final sort, dispatch to regional planes in some cases, and enough time to put on a truck for even pretty distant places.

I also think that ATT has a distribution center near Alliance Airport. My 2 cents...China drop shipped the 200,000 ATT phones to ATT distribution centers near FedEx/UPS places, ATT unboxed the pallets, put some ATT-like shipping labels on them, processed them through the carrier, then dispatch to the carrier.

Hope this helps somewhat...
