if you look back through the thread, you may notice that no one from AT&T (direct) has had seen "shipped" on their status. Also several people are speculating that AT&T ship from US warehouses and are simply waiting for the CHina shipment that is currently in AK to hit the AT&T (direct) warehouses to ship to you. Should (as speculated) see shipped changes in the next few days. does this help?;)

I fully agree with your statement. However please correct me if I am wrong but it looks like 16gb from AT&T orders are at least updating on online tracking. I think only 32gb and 64gb are applicable to what your saying. But it does make a lot of sense.
 
You could be right, but I have no idea, I was reading the threads, but did not keep track of what everyone was waiting on, which versions. :)

No. No AT&T orders have received any tracking that we know of.
 
I ordered straight from apple and mine has not shipped yet. I can't find it using any of the tricks people have listed.

I ordered the white 16 GB. Mine was on back order but that changed yesterday. I currently have the same screen as everyone else. Shipping: Pending.
 
And as someone corrected me :) , there are iPhones in TX and Forrest is running out looking for said warehouse. ;)

I ordered over the phone too (after trying to order online at 3:00 am and finding out that new family plans can't be set up online) and have been discussing in the "Who pre-ordered the iPhone 4S by phone" thread that started before this stickied thread. Anyways, I ordered at 8:00 in the morning Friday through telesales and the rep said it would be delivered by the 14th (if he hadn't, I would not have gone through with it and would have just waited in line). I finally got the T&C e-mail tonight and then about 30 min ago got the order status e-mail. Well, it says it will be 21-28 days before it ships :mad: and the online order status page says I ordered on 10/10.:mad:

This has been such a terrible experience so far. I understand the enormous volume that goes with the iPhone, but still, a multi-billion dollar company with 100M customers should figure it out after 5 years of trying. What a cluster *****.

Thanks but what I am referring to is that their are some 16gb or 32gb that show an updated tracking screen and their are a few customers that have actually received tracking numbers however their is none that I have seen for 64gb models. All are showing processing or backordered status.

CSR told be they won't ship until the 14th. I explained my delivery date said it would be delivered ON the 14th. She says that is incorrect they won't ship until the 14th. They should train these people to all have the same info. But I can guarantee you if you pre-ordered you will have a 4S.. when is another story all together ;)

I talked to my local ATT store today and they said that once the order is processing it is impossible to cancel. At this point, we pretty much all have to wait until it ships. :(
 
Remember if you cancel be wary that you have to get the contract reversed (that they just updated to a new two year with the purchase of the iPhone you are going to cancel) and it is a bear to do this but of course can be done, but to my knowledge does not reverse right away without a frustrating call to AT&T. Just saying....

There was a 64GB who wasn't backordered earlier in the thread.
 
Ordered mine from the AT&T website at 3:30 AM on launch day, it shows "In Progress" for status, and says "Pending Shipment" for the tracking number.

For the record, I never received any Terms and Conditions email. All I received was an email Friday that said I had been flagged for identity verification, so I called them, did that, they did the credit check over the phone, that was fine, blah blah. A couple days later I got the confirmation email saying my order had been processed, with Virgin Islands phone numbers (I signed up for new service), despite the fact I live in Minneapolis. Those numbers were also not just new numbers, but some other customer's numbers tied to his account (WTF). 1.5 hours later on the phone to get that straightened out and they got me proper MN area codes, and I requested an email with the new information, a confirmation number, anything. They said they couldn't do that, that they weren't authorized to send email (WTF). So I was like uhhh okay...well fast forward another day or two, and I get another confirmation email, and expecting to see the correct phone numbers in it, I open it to see the same Virgin Islands numbers to my dismay. Fed up, I wasn't going to waste another 1.5 hours on the phone with the AT&T idiots, so I'll just get the phones and turn them on when they get here and see what the phone numbers are.

AT&T is worthless. I knew I should've went with Verizon.

I know what it means, but I ordered over the phone & when I did, the Rep read aloud the Terms & Conditions and I was prompted to accept them, which I did.

You may have to accept the T&C this way as well. I've seen this link given out for several phone order people. May want to check with others on the forum before following my link, though.

Yep. I didn't understand that at first either, but I finally got my e-mail today and it is nice to *see* the terms that you agreed to. It is miserable, however, that I had to wait 83 hours to get them...
 
No. No AT&T orders have received any tracking that we know of.

Sorry if I wasn't clearer. But what I mean is that if you check under the tracking info some customers have backorder, while some have ready for shipping, others have processing. Not actual tracking numbers, I think only Apple orders are getting this.
 
Mine will be delivered tommorow!
