AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

16GB black finally shipped this morning. Funny thing though: We ordered a 16GB black and 64GB white around 4pm PST 10/7 in store. The 64GB white shipped yesterday from Memphis via Fed Ex 2 day and the black 16 shipped today from Fort Worth via Fex Ex overnight. We should be getting both phones at the same time.

Surely a coincidence since there's no way ATT is this organized. I wonder why some are shipping via 2-day and some overnight.

I know this isn't good news for all those 10/7 faithful but I guess things are actually moving.Status just changed 4 mins ago.Maybe because so many have canceled things are continuing to move.

Well I wish all of you the best of luck and I hope everyone's iPhone that you have been waiting so patiently for ships. I finally got a tracking number from Fed-ex for mine late last night, with a scheduled delivery of 10/27. Good luck everybody!!!

It took mine just about 48 hours to ship from the time it came off backorder status
 
Check your bill

Hey everyone, thanks for all the info ... for those that haven't received a phone yet, check your latest bill. I got mine yesterday and they charged me the data fee despite not having the phone yet ... 15 minutes on the phone got the charge removed, but it still was annoying.

I have a feeling the rest of this week won't see as much action as yesterday.

There are only 3 16 GB black phones left before mine, 2 32 GB black phones, 5 16 GB white phones, and 3 32 GB white phones left.

2 orders left from 10/7, 5 left from 10/8, and 6 left from 10/10 before mine. 13 total have shipped, and 13 total are left. I'm halfway there!
 
This really is some BS....

im not mad at the people that have received their phones from after the 10/8 date but just pi$$ed that AT&T has a random way of sending out phones...

i ordered one on the 7th and one on the 8th both 16gb white models
and nothing...

still on backorder with no change in my status...i have constantly called AT&T and they said well you have 14-21 days to be shipped..

so this friday for the 10/7 order and saturday for the 10/8 order are the days i should be expecting my phones at the latest..

yet i should have received some type of movement for the 10/7 order already.
 
Ours also came off backorder this morning ... pre-ordered 10/7 but order was delayed 3 days due to porting problems.

I have only one 16GB WHT before me and they're also on backorder.. all of the 16GB BLK before me have shipped.. it actually appears that they're going in order depending on your location/availability.

AGAIN - if any of you ordered 16GB WHT AFTER 10/7 through AT&T's store and have a) received your phone, b) gotten a shipping notice, or c) gone off backorder PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOUR ORDER # AND ZIP!.

I saw that, but you had porting issues and technically ordered on 10/7.. I'm assuming that AT&Ts stellar customer service would have tried to take care of you since you were originally one of the earlier orders and the screwup was on their side.
 
just got my shipping e-mails! getting one today at 3PM CST and tomorrow 3PM CST! both 16gb black. ordered on 10/7! good luck everybody! :):):):):)

Sigh. <grumble>

Ordered 16 GB blk 10/10, still backordered. And I know 10/8 16 GB blk orders in my area are still BO'd, too. Completely ridiculous. Congrats to you, but for AT&T to just put you ahead of us in the queue is pathetic and total B.S.

This must be as a result of Premier, right davros? - also, did you order instore or online?

That's what I'm guessing, but I still don't think "Premier" should jump ahead of people in the supposed "first come first served" pre-order deal.

We ordered in-store.
 
My 16GB white was ordered via Premier in the evening of 10/12... it is still listed in "pre-order" status (I can only check my status via the BusinessDirect site because I don't know my order number for the other site, and I don't have access to my company's Premier login).

Congrats. Makes me regret cancelling my order that I placed on 10/13 lol. Not really because the way they're handling these orders are very random.
 
Wow, this thread is STILL going?!?

I gave up waiting. I reserved at the Apple Store, cancelled my pre-order, and GLADLY paid the $250 early upgrade fee (which AT&T gave me bill credit for). Sold my iPhone 4 for $350 and shipped it out.

Sorry you all are stuck waiting still. I will repeat the new mantra:
'I will NEVER pre-order from AT&T EVER again!'
 
I start checking at 8:50 or so as that is when things get going and last night thew flew out the door.

Ugh totally agree. I think AT&T did not handle this very well at all.

I'm going to check tonight and see if i can reserve the one i want.. i checked last night at around 10, and all the white models were gone, but they had 32GB black and 64GB black. I checked about an hour later, and all of them were gone. I'm thinking if i get on there at 9 or around there, should be fine.

WISH ME LUCK GUYS

Getting my phone is starting to seem like catching a Mew or something.

Fedex tracking says my 32gb black is at the FedEx facility about two miles from my house. What do you think..... The way things have been going it could take the rest of the week to go two miles!

16gb white still on back order. Both phones ordered in the store before noon on 10/8.

32gb black delivered 10/26. Waiting for the 16gb to get off backorder.

Ordered on 10/11 online around 2pm PST through Premier (upgrading old iphones).

64GB Blk: still on BO
16GB Wht: to 0 BO on 10/25 - tracking number on 10/26, expected 10/27

If I had to do it all over again, I would have ordered through Apple online.


PS: best order site to check I found is:

No further movement.From what I have read here it may take a day or so for tracking #s.There was one person yesterday whose went off backorder and was still waiting 2 days later for those #s.I have no probs waiting at this point.
