Pre-ordered from ATT.com on 10/7 - of course, like many others, did not get the iphone 4s as promised on launch date. To make matters worse, they wouldn't let me cancel (as many have experienced).
Weeks later, was finally able to call up an outsourced ATT help line that cancelled the order for me (10/23). Got a confirmation email of the cancellation, so I thought the whole ordeal was over (i had already went out and got my own unlocked 4s by then) - but then what happens? ATT SOMEHOW decides to ship it to me ANYWAY, and I got it on Halloween. I did not open it (as I already have an unlocked one)..and left it untouched. I tried to make a return at my local ATT store, as I did not want to be charged for return shipping (just in case, since it wasn't my fault they shipped it to me anyway!!!)... and they tell me I had to pay a RESTOCKING FEE of $35 on the UNOPENED 4s!!!!!!! RIDICULOUS.
I was planning to get a 2 year contract with ATT but after this whole ordeal.. which I might add, wasted ALOT of my gas ..phone bill.. and my mental well being... all this running around in circles.. I am so GLAD that I did not go thru with it. I have never been THIS disappointed with a company as I have with ATT.
