Why did you have to order through AT&T?
Thought I'd chime in with a couple of more data points...
Ordered wife's 64GB White on Friday 10/7 @ 5 am CDT via AT&T Premier. Phone delivered via UPS on 10/14 (No signature required...didn't even ring the doorbell. Wife heard the truck and found the box by the front door.)
Ordered my 64GB Black on Friday 10/14 via AT&T Premier. Still back ordered...
BTW, we are in Houston.

My order placed on 10/30 in the at&t store finally went off back order today. Still pending shipping, but hopefully some time this week it will get a move on.
My 16 gb white ordered from AT&T store on 11-1 came off backorder sometime last night. The funny thing is the person that ordered in front of me, the same phone, is still on backorder. Do they fill orders based on the amount of time you have been a customer?
If that was the case, I would have gotten mine before I ordered it.
The person that ordered before has now came off backorder within the last hour.
Quite frustrating. I ordered a white 32GB on 10/24 and still on backorder. Maybe Apple should have delayed all of the other countries launch until they could make their customers here in the USA happy. This is a epic fail from both AT&T and Apple .
i don't know about epic fail, its like this for every new release.. i do agree that they shouldn't launch in more countries if they can't even handle the demand of one.
Ordered one 16GB and one 32GB on 11/4 from AT&T Premier. According to the FedEx tracking the package should be here tomorrow.

My iPhone landed in Orlando about an hour ago. Tomorrow it will be at my AT&T store.
It kind of sucks for you guys that ordered and still don't have yours yet. Maybe Corporate AT&T stores have priority over authorized dealers and online?
