AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

My black 16gb iphone 4s went off backorder status....

On 10/22, I ordered through the AT&T website a black 16gb iphone 4s. The delivery point was to be Encino, California (Los Angeles).

Today, right before lunch, it went off backorder status. That is 12 days after I ordered on line.

Have not received the shipping info yet.

I ordered my iphone 4s Black 16g on the 25th of Oct by phone. To be shipped to Rockford IL its still on back order. I have my fingers crossed about getting it before the 21-28 days AT&T said it would be on back order.

ordered mine on 10/17 and its just went off backorder last night and have not received shipping info yet.
 
My upgrade date moved up to the beginning of this month and I ordered it immediately on Apple.com. And the next day it went from processing to preparing for shipment to shipped. It's on it's way here and arriving Monday, barely one week from ordering!

It's a Black iPhone 64GB AT&T

I was tempted to order from AT&T Premier also and at the time (11/1) it wasn't "backordered" but I went with my instinct and knew AT&T reputation's with orders. Hearing this, I'm glad I ordered through the Apple online store, since my order on 11/1 is coming early next week.

Curious, why did you order from AT&T instead? Did you get a discount?
 
All orders from 10/7 to 10/31 are off backorder in my store, except 6 of them. And guess who's one of those six? Me! :( 5 out of 6 are 16GB White's.

My upgrade date was 11/19 but since a CS rep said they could do it 30 days early (which wasn't true) AT&T decided to give it to me early on the 24th after lots of bitching from me. Lol
 
A few weeks ago my date for a discount upgrade (ATT) was around Nov 14. I checked today and they now said I was eligible for the full discount today.

Go figure.
 
So now Fedex is an epic fail. left the same place twice at 1:45am ??

Why no movement closer to me in NY?

Advice - 64GB backordered 32GB not

Can someone give me good advice on how to explain this situation to my wife?

Both my wife and I ordered 4S in the ATT store on 10/22. I got a black 32, she got a black 64. Mine went off BO on Wed, arrived yesterday, Fri evening. Wife's phone is still on BO.

I'll get some of her favorite flowers today and take her to a movie this evening. It would be good to be able to cheer up.

64s arent as mass produced?

I would guess it may have something to do with the fact that one phone is 32 gigs and one is 64. That would be my story and I would stick by it.

Flowers, DINNER, and a movie is better than just flowers and a movie.

An update. Ordered 16 g black 4s 10/22. Just got email that it will be delivered 11/7. That's 16 days from online AT&T website. Obviously, much sooner than the quickest estimate of 21 days
 
Ugh, this is annoying! I'm next in line to be taken off back order, but some are shipping out quick in my area.

If you were given a order number, you will go to this website:

https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/

Choose Order Number, put in your order number then zip code from the store you got it from. From then on, you can backtrack. For example, if I were order number 310, I could type in 309 and just keep going backwards to view others orders in that particular store with the same zip code.
 
Just a thought

I have been reading this thread out of boredom and didnt want to offend anyone but instead of ordering from bulkshit att did you guys check other retailers besides your stores like radio shacks who will send it to you in 3-5 days or sooner in store sams club walmart target which have them in store best buy is sold out and some apple stores have them some csr on att will say none of the stores have phone but if you call individual they have them.. I got my 4s frm rs 16gb white
