AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

Kind of like purchasing tickets on an airline. I think AT&T overbooked their orders and are now giving themselves time to fulfill their current requests. I mean they had to have had an idea of how many units they could commit to delivering on time. Then again it's all about the numbers and I gotta wonder out of the 200k that they pre sold how many are actually going to get their orders on time.
I ordered mine around 4:40 am on the 7th. (EST)
Mine is in Anchorage right now, estimated to arrive here in NC on the 14th.
I think that anyone who ordered within hours of preorder opening up should expect their phones to arrive on launch day, as was promised.
Or earlier, as is the case with a few people here.
I'm sure that if I was in Alaska, my phone would show up at least a day or 2 early.

I pre-ordered by phone on 10/7 and I barely just got my T&C email today. I go to check the status on AT&T's site and it says "Date Ordered: 10/10/2011" and backordered. I'm not worried about it being backordered by why the heck does it say I ordered the phone today? I hope this doesn't mean I'm getting my phone in 1-4 weeks! What do you guys think?

How did you get your tracking number to see where it's currently at?
Be on the lookout for shipment notification emails. Looks like a new batch is heading out. Me and 3 of my friends (all of us on ATT) just got emails from Apple in the last 5 minutes.
What time did you guys place your orders?

It happens pretty often.
Last year the pre-auth charge disappeared on my order, the phone got delivered, and then I got charged like 2 days later by Apple. I wouldn't sweat the payment thing.
We all ordered between 5am and 7am on 10/7 from Apple.com. And we're all in Pittsburgh, PA so that probably counts for something. Maybe they're shipping them regionally?

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't their some type of announcement by AT&T stating that they maxed out all pre-orders in 12 hours? So doesn't that mean that whomever ordered their phone within that 12 hour window should receive their phone on the 14th and anyone after the 12 hours will be pushed to the 1-2 week window?

Not all. But if you have a tracking number, you most likely ordered through apple.

What is this terms and conditions email everyone's talking about? I know when I was preordering I think I remember checking a box saying I read and understand the terms and conditions. Are people who didn't check this box getting the email?
