I pre-ordered a white 16GB iPhone 4S on Sunday 10/9 and my credit card immediately showed a pre-authorization charge of $199. I got the confirmation email and everything from Premier and the status shows as Pre-order on the premier site. The email I received from Premier stated that I would receive my phone in 21-28 days..BS.

On AT&T's order status page I can search for my order by entering my Mom's phone number (I used her line to upgrade) and it lists the phone as back ordered. I then went to UPS and tracked by reference and I entered all kinds of different phone numbers to track by and to no avail. I then entered my phone number just as a wild guess and my order shows as shipped!!! It is in China on the way to the US!

This is very similar to last years dilemma with my iPhone 4 and it arrived early and AT&T's status page showed back ordered up to the day it was delivered.

I think everyone will get their phone on time as long as it was pre-ordered.

That's encouraging. Did anything change on the premier website?
 
Hopefully this helps people start to calm down now. I show an order date of 10/10/2011 according to AT&T.com and I just went off of backorder to processing.
 
When I go to my account page it shows my contract as being renewed as of 10/7 when I accepted the Terms and Conditions.
 
Woot! My final line (the 64g line) finally switched from BackOrdered to Processing.

Still no second e-mail, but now I'm confident I'll get all my phones on the 14th or 15th.

No mine on Premier site still shows as Pre-Order, there are only 3 check boxes.

However, I received an email this morning concerning my new Customer Service Summary (CSS). This means my contract was started and it has a date of 10/08/2011. When I login to OLAM and Check "My Orders" my order now shows as Processing, no backorder.

what do you mean? You entered a phone number as a guess for a UPS tracking number?

I entered my current phone number as a wild guess. It was a wild guess because my phone number has nothing to do with the order at all...except for the Billing information for the iPhone 4S order.

My phone is on a totally separate account from My Mom's line which I ordered on..
 
Iphone 64gb shipments now updating

Hello, I am noticing that orders are starting to update for the 64gb models. Yesterday on this thread it was widely reported that 64gb where in backorder. My page has now changed to processing, I am expecting them to start shipping tomorrow and arrivals maybe on Thursday.

Yeah, my new contract is from 10/8/2011-10/8/2013...not sure why it wasn't the 7th...when I placed my order before 0900 PST. :confused:

It won't. The high, high majority of people are worried about absolutely nothing. Many times they are worried about something already debunked thousands of times here.

Everyone thinks they will somehow be the exception for some reason

You sir, just filled me with all kinds of hope. I ordered on Sat @ 2pm and thought I was screwed for the same amount of time. I thought that Premier customers only got it through FedEx? (unless they're an employee of another company). What format did you put your number in? I can't find squat. Also, did your payment go through or is it still pending?
 
i just checked my premiere order by calling an automated number, so I didn't bother a live agent (by the way) at 1-866-499-8008. It says my oder has been processed and will ship soon. After that the message went on to say that my device is now activated and will need to be turned on or something like that. I ordered mine between 2pm and 3 pm (cant remember exactly) approximately on Friday. I have my email from premiere on friday at 441pm. I figured I would have to wait a little while longer but maybe not.

By the way its a 16gb white 4S. Nothing has shown up on my credit card account.

It looks promising!!

I am not sure why it was shipped through UPS.

I entered 1234567890 as the format for the tracking by reference on the website.

The payment still shows as pending.
 
My backordered status was at a 0 since Saturday or Sunday so I dont know why so many people's statuses are just changing now. I ordered my phone at 4:20 Am East Coast time and received a series of 3 "Your ATT.com order blah blah blah has been processed" emails over the course of the past 4 days. I just realized though that maybe since I ordered a case too, that's why I may have got multiple email. They probably send confirmation on each item that has been processed. In my case: Iphone 4s, case, and sim.
 
My 32GB black iPhone 4S (AT&T Premier ordered via AT&T.com) has just now, for the first time, switched from Backorder 1 to Backorder 0. This'll be interesting. I'm guessing that means that AT&T has received their shipment of phones from China, and that tomorrow we'll all get shipping notices.

Yes got the same msg about service being activated, which made me nervous since I am still on tmobile

Mine also did the same thing when I called earlier too! Freaked me out lol
