AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

i just checked my premiere order by calling an automated number, so I didn't bother a live agent (by the way) at 1-866-499-8008. It says my oder has been processed and will ship soon. After that the message went on to say that my device is now activated and will need to be turned on or something like that. I ordered mine between 2pm and 3 pm (cant remember exactly) approximately on Friday. I have my email from premiere on friday at 441pm. I figured I would have to wait a little while longer but maybe not.

By the way its a 16gb white 4S. Nothing has shown up on my credit card account.

I also called that number and selected option 2, it then asks for you order number...

my order is also being processed and will ship soon...also it is activated and will need to be powered off then on to complete activation.

I ordered my white 32gb 4S at approximately on Friday 10-7-11 @ 0800 PST thru ATT by phone.

Yeah I come up with nothing in terms of shipment information from anything other than the Premier site which simply says "pre-order"

Mr. ****** after reviewing your order my records show the iPhone is on back order, however the order is in progress, I have the order date as 10/09/2011, your iphone will be shipped 21-28 days from this date.

(so they're also a day off in order date)

Hey all, just joined...First post.

Like all of you I have been awaiting these orders to go through. I ordered through the AT&T Premier Store on October 7, 2011 at 4:13 CDT. So far, i've gotten two emails, one confirmation, and the other about the status saying I would get it as early as October 14, 2011. I ordered me a 64GB Black iPhone 4S up from a 16GB iPhone 4. My status on the Premier website has the three check boxes and is on Pre Order, and on the regular site, it finally moved from backordered to processing. I'm so excited, can't wait until friday, but good news for all of us AT&T orders, THEY'RE STARTING TO MOVE ALONG!!! :D
 
FedEx tracking confirms the one I ordered cleared customs. Now I know it will arrive on schedule. Customs is the only stop that's precarious. Mostly because they're under staffed and very busy.
 
Wonder if the activation message some of are getting means that someone at ATT popped a sim in our phone, before shipping. Wishful thinking.

Are you talking about the person who put a bunch of numbers into UPS tracking and happened to get one of the 200,000 iphones being tracked right now?

and for all we know, he just stole someone's screen shot to mess with everyone....someone in the thread even said their phone was on the same flight.

I call BS unless we get a unique screen shot. I say he pulls up two windows and takes a screen shot with the tracking info and showing himself logged into MacRumors :D

Fair enough. I just hate not knowing with 10034343743743426298038% certainty that I will or won't have it. Especially with how uneven information has been.

The most consistent piece of information over and over again is that you had to order by Friday at 4:30PM EST to get your phone this week. If you ordered on Saturday at 2PM, you didn't make that cutoff. Not sure what more you want to hear.

If you get lucky, AT&T underestimated, then great! If not, I am sure your phone will come soon. Good luck!
