Dug this up from last year for all of us in the 10/16-10/23 ship dates. Discouraging to say the least. This was on 10/15. We might not be getting ours early after all

Reality is: some will get it on launch day but many won't. I worked with AT&T for 3 years and the "processing" text just simply means that the order is in and will be fulfilled but that doesn't guarantee a phone on launch. I got the same text last year the day after with Oct shipping dates and DID NOT get the phone on launch day. :-(

I can see my shipping date when I click the "check my order" button in the confirmation email I was sent. It takes you right to the webpage. My status says "preparing for shipment" like yours. When I text to check the status it says "in progress". Not sure why the difference.
are you premier? because i can only check my status in another page because when i click the check my order on my email it says there isn't an order with that number

I'm really not sure. I know I have a discount on my account because I am a student. I did receive a text when my order went through saying they received my order and they will let me know when it ships. Obviously that hasn't happened yet lol.

last year apple didn't produced enough for the demand it had. but this year apple made enough before the pre orders. if we ordered as soon as preorders started we should get them on launch day, because 5 hours after pre orders started (5am pacific) apple was still promising 9/25 delivery for all the 6s and 6s plus except the rose gold. so we should be okay hopefully...

Apple will fulfill their orders first and there's always a batch for the carriers but it's no where near the amount Apple has, especially the pink gold version. I work in the industry so I know how it works. Getting a text message saying your order has been processed means nothing at all. It means the order is now officially in the system and will be fulfilled when they get phones from Apple which will be limited

Nobody seems to know the facts on how Apple doles out allotments to carriers for pre orders. I've read and heard so many different "facts" concerning the issue and they rarely jive with each other. Some of these have been from ATT and Apple employees. It's a mystery I guess!

My bet is that most people will have their phones on launch day of you ordered on the 12th.
At&t has some 6 plus but not many, Apple didn't provide them with tons of pink golds. This could change but apple will fulfill their orders first and then send batches to the carriers

I received a text last night saying they received my order. Would that be about the same as the one everyone is receiving today?

but if everyone got emails first than you but you ordered first, that means you are wayyyy back:(

This is the exact one I ordered. I have a 9/24 ship date too, but no text. Makin' me anxious over here.

I am sure everything will be fine. Has your credit/debit card been charged? Even if it has not, many people are saying it will not be until your phone ships. Good luck to you buddy!

The rumor in past years was that Premier customers got preferential treatment. On the iPhone 5, my order didn't get completed until the next morning and I still got it on launch day. And in last year it seemed like Premier customers got their phones even though they ordered later than non-Premier customers. You may very well get lucky.

I believe it's, just that, a rumor. I've been a Premier customer for years and never got any preferential treatment at all. And all of my Apple pre orders have always be processed and shipped right along with everyone else's. As a matter of fact I did not get launch day delivery with my iPhone 5s, my Apple Watch and now my 128 gb space gray iPhone 6s Plus despite my efforts ordering online as soon as the site came up.

That's actually a good sign. They got to your order last night and it's in the system as of then. What time did you put your order in?

Mine was ordered at 6am cst with an AT&T rep. My card was charged less than 5 minutes after for the subsidized amount and was still pending this afternoon in my account.

My card was charged yesterday morning. Anyone else? I have never been charged so early for a pre-order.

I got an alert from my bank that stated:
Card xxxx was used to make an online or phone purchase of $536.24 at AT&T.
However when I check my account online there is no such charge at all.
I believe what they (AT&T) did was place a charge then remove it. Just like some places who put a dollar charge then remove it to verify the account. Then, later, after the product ships they charge the entire amount on your card.

I don't expect to see the charge for the phone until it ships in October (estimated ship date).

No offense but I've heard this and many other theories but with no proof. It's possible but the truth is without the carriers the iPhone is nothing. Apple makes their money no matter who sells them.

As a premier member I received my phone on launch day last year and the two years before as well. Not sure if it was that way for everyone of course.

No, I think you would have gotten it on launch day anyway.

i got the same dates as you and i ordered within the first 10 minutes. we are all hoping apple gives priority to the firsts to order and that they send enough units to att for us.

Apple? Isn't this the AT&T pre order thread?

I just checked my bank account and the charge is still there. Never received the processing text, but everything else seems fine. Now I need to relax and enjoy my first iPhone preorder instead of obsessing

Agreed although I can't imagine Apple not producing more 6s+ this time around with the crazy, and probably unexpected, demand for them last year. The Rose gold 6s+ may be a different story but I doubt it. I'm betting they made a butt load!

I can ;)

I feel so lonely right now!!!:( no text!

Don't be. I got the text and it doesn't mean anything new. The same information shows up in my account. That iPhone will be processing until the estimated ship date - October 16 - October 23 ;)
