I'm sure anyone who ordered from att within first hour will get a plus. Doesn't make sense. It's not like they won't have stock if you go to att store.

That's what I was thinking as well. If AT&T did not have any stock at all for the plus, I'm sure they would've let us know beforehand.

YES THANK YOU! I was trying to find the first link for the past 24 hours. Its the one link that updated last year showing my order shipped while the other link showed it was still in processing.

This was my email last year. I ordered right at open. Didn't get the email til about 5am. It was for a Gold 6+. The shipping date shows about the samw shipping date as the Oct ship date we received this year and I received mine on launch day. My shipping date never changed until I saw it go to shipping the day before launch. View attachment 581261

I have a Premier account thanks to my job at UPS and get a 20% discount on my AT&T account. I ordered my 128GB Space Gray iPhone 6s Plus at 3:24 AM with the 10/16/2015 to 10/23/2015 ship date. Hopefully I get my phone around or on launch day. :rolleyes:
 
I was told to chat back within 48 hours if the shipment date has not been adjusted to a more accurate date. I did just that and the person who I was chatting with, named Cody, told me that they don't have any information on the availability of the iPhone 6s Pluses. He simply told me that AT&T will start shipping on the 24th, and that there is a possibility that we'll have to wait until October to get our orders in the mail. Still lost in the dark...

I chatted a different person for good measure.

This time, I got this:
"Colton B: Oh, I see. I'm afraid that the demand for the 6s was so intense, that these shipping dates are more than likely correct. I'm extremely sorry for the delay on that, but about more than 5 million units were ordered in the period of 5 minutes, so the stock status was almost immediately depleted and a ton of orders were put on backorder."

This is pretty concerning because every employee seems to have a different response as to why people who placed an order with AT&T for an iPhone 6s Plus have shipment dates for mid October. I'm not even sure what to think at this point.

I ordered a 128GB Space Grey iPhone 6S Plus... and AT&T is saying my phone won't be delivered till ~October 23. Should I cancel the order through AT&T and instead order via Apple?
I dunno if anyone asked this already because I'm still going through the thread but what time did you order?

That doesn't make sense because there has not been ONE person who has ordered a plus even the ones who got in before 12:01/3:01AM that have gotten a 9/24-9/25 ship date!

That's what I had a hard time believing. I don't know a SINGLE person with a launch day date who ordered a plus. It's really bothering me that AT&T isn't informing their employees regarding any information about the iPhone 6s+'s
 
I chatted customer support just now. She said all iPhone 6s Plus are all going to start shipment in October. This makes no sense. So AT&T has no stock for iPhone 6s+'s?!

Don't listen to att reps, they're just dumb. all carriers will deliver iphones on september so its impossible that att won't

Yeah. I got transferred to a representative, and they told me that everyone is receiving it in October. It's pretty pointless talking to them when they all have different answers every single time. It's like AT&T hired monkeys or something to type for them. I guess We'll just find out next week.

They may or may not be, but in this case I think they simply don't have any more information than you. For what it's worth on the Verizon thread there's quite a few who posted screenshots of their plus orders having a delivery date of the 25th. It would be hard to believe Verizon was given all the carrier preorder stock.

The whole thing is a joke. I am grandfathered with an unlimited plan like many of you, so my only choice this year was to begrudgingly order from AT&T. Every other year I have dealt with Apple with no problem, and now there is a high likelihood of getting the phone WEEKS after the major carriers. The whole thing rubs me the wrong way, if you are going to force me to order from you I expect a similar wait to other carriers. Once they get rid of the subsidy on the phones, I am almost certainly out.
 
Well, I hope for the best for all of you Plus preorders. AT&T completely botched the launch of the original 6+, as evidenced by this 600 page thread from last September.

The main message from the 600 pages, almost nobody who ordered a 6+ got their phone on launch day. And many people waited weeks.

I, like many others, had to order through AT&T, I couldn't order from Apple. I've since rectified that, and next time I'll order from Apple directly.

A friend of mine got his order in right at 2am CST, I forgot to set an alarm and MISSED launch time :( but got it in at 6am CST. He got his text Sat 9/12 @ 2:04AM CST (4 minutes after ordering), I got my text Sun 9/13 @ 7:19PM CST (37 hours after ordering). We both have orders for 6S+ 64Gb Spacegrey. The link provided earlier in this thread shows identical info, however, the link provided in the order confirmation email from AT&T shows "Preparing to Ship" for his order status (and has since yesterday 9/13), while mine still shows "In Progress".

I can handle getting an "S" phone a bit later, and deserve to this time as it was my own stupidity that caused it. But I did verify with an AT&T Rep that the 24mo upgrade "clock" for a 2 year contract begins when the phone ships. That's what sucks the most for me because ever since the 3GS, between my wife and I's 2 numbers, I have had one eligible in September to upgrade. Oh well, it seems the NEXT program, though it may cost a bit more in the long run, is the way to go to be able to order through apple. I'll just get on NEXT 18 and pay the whole 24mos.

I also verified with an AT&T Rep that since I'm already on a family share plan, that I wont lose the grandfathered Unlimited Data plan on one of my numbers due to upgrading via NEXT. Here is the excerpt from the chat:


Me : From what I've understood (and I could be wrong) about the next program, is that you have to get onto a family share plan with it, which would change my plan, which would cause me to lose the unlimited right?

AT&T : Yes, you are correct. You both have the options to upgrade your line under AT&T Next or under a 2-year contract and that will not affect your unlimited data plan.

AT&T : I am sorry to keep you waiting.

Me : No worries. But I'm confused, using NEXT for the upgrade Saturday will NOT affect the unlimited data plan?

AT&T : Yes, AT&T Next will not affect your unlimited data plan. Because your unlimited data plan is part of your monthly services. AT&T Next is just an additional to your monthly bill since you'll be paying your new device monthly and not upfront.

AT&T : As long as you are on the FamilyTalk plan, you cannot lose your unlimited data plan. :)

Me : Ah ok! And I am on a family talk program?

AT&T : Yes, I see here you are under FamilyTalk Nation 450 with Rollover with 2 lines.
