I've been out of the iphone game since the 3GS. Are returns with AT&T relatively painless? Didn't have a choice because of the unlimited plan on premier. I wanted a plus but panicked when I saw the delivery dates in late october. I ordered the regular instead but now I'm regretting it. I really need a new phone asap, I'm using a $100 BLU garbage phone from amazon at the moment.
 
I ordered a gold 64gb 6s+ at 3:05am EST. It was marked for shipment on October 16th. I contacted AT&T, and they said that a more accurate date will be given 24-48 hours. Hope the person who told me that is correct, and it will be launch day. Fingers crossed

I got in a few minutes before 2am central and got October 13 ship date . I'm hoping that changes. Ordered 6s + 64gb rose gold. Did anyone order a + and get 9/25 delivery?
 
I logged into the AT&T website before 3a.m. but my web browser kept getting stuck at "loading device details." It finally occurred to me at about 3:30 to try the mobile app, but I had to manually enter so much crap there and I got briefly stuck because I didn't see that I needed to approve all of the agreements. So, I finally got the phone ordered at about 3:40 (6s Plus, 128 GB, space gray) but it's not supposed to ship until October 16-23.

I've always gone through the Apple website previously but I needed to transfer my wife's upgrade eligibility to my phone number so I was stuck going through AT&T. Oh well.
 
Managed to get an order through on the AT&T site. Took some time as I hesitated when the site first went live and then the site went to heck and for some reason they had an old address that kept getting populated for contact and shipping. Had to go in and edit my profile in order to get things to be correct.

I was debating about getting Applecare+ for the device since it is going to be used by another family member and it was showing $99 and not the $129 on Apple's site. I ultimately pulled the trigger and may discard my in store reservation for my device and order it online as well since I can save on the Applecare+.
 
What is the timestamp on your order if you can tell us? I'm curious if they're basing it off of that. Also what models of the 6s Plus did you get?

About an hour after I placed my orders, I got emails about problems with the credit card. I had to call Bank of America to clear it up, and the rep said that he's been getting a lot of calls. He said it was the way that AT&T was processing the charges.

Did anyone manage to get a Sept 24 ship date on a 6s Plus? I ordered immediately when the site went live, and I was also given an October 16-23 date.

Got the same, tried to clear it up online but will try again in the morning.
 
My status changed to backordered :/ I guess I got in too late. Ugh. I'm always able to order in the first few minutes and this year I experienced every problem possible, it seemed. Grr. Anyone else backordered? I have never had that happen before...

You didn't get in too late. AT&T's crappy website choked, as it always does during pre-orders.
 
I got in early (2:50 AM EST) on the AT&T site and tried to order my phone. The process went all the way to the end and then it said the zip code did not match with the one on file at Chase. I had to call Chase and it turns out Chase stopped my CC b/c it was suspicious activity to them. They stated that I would have to go back to the AT&T site and re-order it. I finally complete my order at 3:30 (50 mins after I got in the 1st time). Then for a while AT&T shows I have 2 orders (?). Then about 5 mins ago I get an order confirmation from AT&T:

I was able to log in at about 12:10. Ordered a 6s plus, 64 gb in space grey. Shipping date was after 10/19 :(. The down side about this date is that I won't be able to update until then in 2 years. It used to be that you could update a little earlier, but AT&T stopped allowing that a few years ago.

On the plus-side, it was very clear on the order page that I was able to keep my unlimited data plan. I usually worry that I'll screw that up when I order online.
Not true-they are still doing it. My upgrade date is October and I talked to Customer Relations on Wed & Fri and I can upgrade over the phone ONLY via that department at 9am ET Sat. Of course,I'll be behind millions by then but it's better than Oct.
 
I have 09/24-09/24 shipping date on Att. Another story: Apple froze on me and I ended up with 6 iPhones instead of 2 :)
 
After reading this tread I haven't noticed anyone that's ordered a plus through the AT&T website that's gotten a 9/24 ship date. My credit card was charged so that might also be a good sign. My card wasn't charged last year until it was about to ship!

Good Point! My account has a pending charge too and my Plus order went through late (3:30AM EST). The amount appears to be the price of the iPhone plus sales tax.

Here's my nightmare story. Placed first order at 12:02am for 6S rose gold 64gb. 12 month Next Confirmation email showed 24 month Next and 16gb phone. Cancelled that order.

Placed new order. Went through. Then got email from ATT canceling the order because they couldn't verify my identity. Also took away my eligibility.

Finally got through to order status live person. He Explained that system flagged two orders as fraud (!?!?!?!?!) and the only way I can resolve is to go to an ATT store with two pieces of identification. Been a customer for YEARS. He did kindly reset my eligibility.

Used gorgeous Apple App. Placed order. Confirmation email received. I will never EVER pre-order through AT$T again.

Yep ordered around 3:30 cursed sleep! I struggled to try and stay woke and decided oh I can take a nap at 2:15 woke up at 3:30 then had trouble with apples site! AT&T seemed to go smoother but we shall see!
 
For the record, I decided to order my gf a 6S last minute (3:45am). So I paid to upgrade on ATT Next, and the email I got confirming the last installment payment said she has a silver 16GB iPhone 6. But she really has a 64GB in gold. After paying to upgrade on att.com it asked if I wanted to pre order but I choose apple over carrier. But before i dismissed it, I realized it said for me to return her iPhone 5 32GB to At&T Store. Lol that iPhone 5 is ancient and att next was nonexistent. Moral of the story: ATT system blows

I didn't order through ATT this year based on last years experience. Those Oct dates are exaggerated but many of you wont be getting iPhones on launch day. I ordered my 6+ right at 3am and got the phone 4 days after launch. I was so pissed. Folks that ordered on Apple who ordered an hour after 3am got phones on launch date. Lesson learned...
 
I have never ordered through ATT but was forced to due to them not allowing you to contract upgrade with Apple, which is annoying to begin with. Being not familiar with the system I got in early had the order ready to submit but it was grayed out. I was on my phone and in my sleepy stupor it took me about three tries before I realized I simply wasn't accepting the terms checkbox! I lost a good 20min on my preorder, damn ATT app.
 
So I'm trying to order but it's giving me a 10/16 ship date ??? Do I pre order and or it through Apple with next ? I want the 2 year contract
 
What the hell. Got an action required piece but idk what for.

Got this as well. Fraud detection on Cap1 card. Called Cap1 and fixed. Followed ATT instructions to update card. Called Premier and confirm. Apparently, their phones are manned today.
