6s isn't the problem whatsoever...All of us waiting and mad all preordered the 6s+. iPhone 6s are coming out on time luckily for you
A lot of people are in here panicked about the 6s orders since no tracking has been received yet and all the other carriers have provided tracking information sooner. Us 6s purchasers just need to trust that our 9/24 ship dates are accurate and need to understand they won't ship any sooner than that :)

I wrote an angry email to the President of AT&T last year over the pre order chaos (their system crashed and those who ordered a couple of minutes after midnight pacific were put to the side and processed way later in the morning because their system crashed and started processing other orders placed way after ours first who ordered at like 9am). I got a call not that long after from someone in "the presidents office," he was very nice to me, explained why others ordered later and had a much earlier ship date than me (what I just said system went down and processed other orders before mine). He explained they'd be investigating to see exactly what wrong (but sounded like there was way more demand than expected, more than their system could handle) and to ensure it never happens again.

To think of it I got nothing in return (couldn't push up my ship date, was told "he couldn't" when I asked for a bill credit for the inconvenience) I ultimately cancelled my pre order in an AT&T line when I knew I was getting a phone there.

It did make me feel good that he seemed to care enough to explain what went wrong and my opinions as a customer to make the iphone process easier every year. I said customer service and communication was a nightmare. I said it seemed like people would customer service, get 2 different answers, a lot of the time people were told "you'll get your phone launch day" because they were uninformed or didn't want to be the "bad guy" or yelled at. He said they'd look into that. I asked why I read the Verizon thread and their customers had tracking numbers already and people with launch day ship dates didn't or had to look up their tracking number via UPS or Fedex because AT&T didn't give it to them? Again, he said he'd have to look into that.
AT&T still does that where they give you 2 different answers. You can't just get 1 straight answer from them, everyone you ask gives you different info.

That takes more time it's faster to check email and go to the tracking number directly

Not if you haven't gotten an email or a tracking number yet. This has told me I have a shipment coming long before the business has sent me an email with tracking. That's the whole point. For everyone trying to find reference numbers to use. This will automatically let you know when you have one out there.

Oh yea I always get the emails first tho

chatted with an ATT rep and asked if he thinks the ship date of the 24th will probably moved back due to limited availability on the 6S Space gray. He said no, should still be the 24th. I'll take that with a grain of salt, but does anyone think if I order a 6s now, that I can still get it pretty close to launch day?

This is my 3rd upgrade via the AT&T website during preorders. Don't they usually send a text message when they ship your order? I know I received one last year as did my wife. I don't remember what happened with my 4s as I got it on launch day and there weren't any shortages like there seems to be with the 6 series phones. I gave up on checking the order status on the website and decided I'd wait until I received something or if everyone on here started receiving info then I might check. At this point the suspense is killing me. Not even that I'm dying to get my phone at this point but more that I want to know when. Will it be Friday or Halloween? Ultimately the fault lies with Apple. Let's launch a phone that millions will want but we can't meet the demand. Probably all part of the plan to build hype.

Due to an issue with one of the suppliers for the 6s plus backlight the supply for that model is constrained. They didn't stop taking preorders for the 6s for launch day at Apple until yesterday. If you can't get one on launch it sure won't take too long beyond that as there seems to be plenty of the 6s to go around.

Yea, AT&T states they would send you a text message whenever your order has been shipped.

If ATT does in deed ship via UPS, does anyone know if we can use our phone numbers (or something else) as reference numbers to track packages on ups?
If you register your address with UPS, UPS will send you delivery alerts anytime a package is being delivered to that address.

You don't say!

To answer your questions: YES, we knew. It's been posted in this thread a few times, and elsewhere in the forum as well. She got her phone early. We know.

And yes, we know that AT&T ships from the US as well. It's all in this thread and not that far back--on both counts.

But thank you.

oh sorry, I thought this was a thread for people that wanted info on the at&t preorder...?
I'm not going through all 50+ posts to see if the information i've received has already been posted. If it's already been posted, cool. If not, here's some new info. No reason to be salty about it. We're all here to help each other. Maybe some people only read the last page..ever think of that? so you're welcome to whoever i've helped and sorry for being a bother for those who have previously read this information.....!

The worst part about preordering, I get very impatient and just want my phone...these next 3 days are gonna go by so slow

It's no problem the same question gets asked every 20 posts or so, so it doesn't hurt to have that information readily available on the last pages. Most people don't want to read the prior 50+ pages.

Has anyone on here ever get a status saying "backordered" this year?
I know last year I got that status and did not get my phone on launch (got it the monday after).

Im hopeful of plenty of 6S+ arriving on time because it wasnt backordered.

Thanks Dave! You're a nice man :)

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I'm too lazy to go read 56 pages of posts.

I'm signed up for MyUPS. It notifies me when a shipment is created going to my address.
What if they ship it FedEx? I believe At&t can choose either or

I ordered a 6 Plus last year and it goes without saying I didn't get it on the launch day. When it did finally come it came USPS. So for those unfortunate to have to wait beyond Friday, the post man might be bringing your shipment as well.

Lord, I hope not. I might as well not have pre ordered if I have to sit around waiting for the post office man to bring it.
