AT&T: iPhone 6S/6S Plus Pre-Order Thread!

I don't need to deal with anything.

And it's still hearsay. There is no definitive proof. Even if they did speak to a VP and even if those numbers actually are correct, it's still not official and basically boils down to "some guy on the Internet said..."

Now, if it actually were a published article from a reputable source, an AT&T press release, etc. then I would be more inclined to believe it. And it would give more credibility if I needed to speak with someone at AT&T. Hence, asking for the source of said news article.

I've found two different websites that state the A1634 will be available on AT&T as well as other carriers such as Boost but not Sprint or Verizon. They will be getting the A1687 which is considered the global or world phone. It is also the phone Apple is selling through their upgrade program. That is exactly opposite what I've read on this forum. Hmm...

Yeah. I set this up years ago.. My wife's and my renew dates are exactly one year apart.. And she never wants a new phone.. So I use hers or mine each year to get subsidized price.. And then I get my subsidy price as my Christmas present from family.. So CASH FLOW-wise.. NEXT will NEVER be cheaper for me.. since I get gifted my phone cost.. AND can resell my old phone on eBAY for double what I bought it for.. And it was FREE to me with Christmas money.

Then I've taken advantage of every mid year promo ATT has done. SO I still only pay $15/line even though all my phones are on 2yr.. AND I get 30GB of data for the price of 15.. Took that deal too. So for 4 phones.. I pay just $190/mo on 2 year contract before surcharges and taxes.. Though THIS is the first year that my upgrade WILL kick my one line from $15 back to $40/mo. Bummer. But they'll run another mid year promo... and I'll get that knocked down again.

Nope. You haven't read carefully. That's exactly what I've stated. Of course A1633/34 will be available on AT&T.. They're the only models that has the LTE30 band only ATT is offering. Apple is also ONLY selling 1633/34's because they work on ALL carriers. Don't know what you've been reading. But I've been only saying EXACTLY what you wrote there.

Not so sure about that. I am a Premier customer and my 128 gb 6s Plus has an estimated delivery date of Oct. 16 - Oct. 23.
I'm sure that I am in the same pool as everyone else ("P" included) LOL

Curious on how you get double the price on eBay. Unless you sell before the new phone version is released, I find that you get closer to the subsidized price for the previous model iPhone.

People in Europe and Asia don't get subsidized pricing. They always have to buy at fully unlocked price. The fully unlocked price of an iphone is a little more than double the subsidized price.. So the next year.. well - do the math.. I usually get about double the price I paid for it the year earlier. 5S 32GB - bought at $299 - sold on eBay same day as I get my iPhone 6 (before they're available in Europe) for about $560. Or thereabouts.

Did you master in economics? Really the subsidy price is xmas present from family? What a magical Christmas morning it must be in the Newdestinyx household!

I am switching to iPhone from a galaxy so I'm pretty excited to switch over and just want my phone haha.

I have no idea what any of this tech stuff about the iphone is anyone is talking about

So correct me then, Apple is selling the A1687 to those doing their upgrade program and the A1634 to those just buying a phone through their respective carrier? I was under the impression based on what I'm seeing in this forum that Apple was only selling the A1634 causing a shortage to AT&T. If they are selling both models depending on the type of purchase that, in my mind anyway, changes things up a bit.

It was from the mouth of someone who SPOKE DIRECTLY to a VP at ATT. Not a 'person in the office'.. That was another poster here. SunriseSammy said he spoke directly WITH a VP.. and then showed us proof of his 6SPlus (FROM AT&T) ship date changing to 9/25 AFTER the phone call. That's proof to me of who he spoke with. Any intelligent person, however skeptical, would have to agree.

Or maybe it was another poster than got their ship date changed and posted proof.. Was that you Sunrise?

That was me, but the guy is right to be skeptical. I do not have proof that I spoke to the VP, and even if I did have a recording (can't think of any other proof), I wouldn't post it for legal/ethical reasons.

AT&T has to be stupid to only expect a million orders when they have so many millions of customers. I think it's over a 100 million customers. They should at least ordered 5 million.

mine has said the exact same thing since then. I have a friend who preordered through verizons, got her card charged and tracking/ shipping numbers already. ATT is such a pain!

Someone posted this earlier, but these five UPS planes are bringing in iPhones. So I would have to assume that tomorrow we should be getting our tracking numbers, that is if they are bringing us our AT&T phones. Also of note, this is where I have gotten my iPhones shipped from AT&T (Louisville, KY or sometimes Tennessee) the past three years.

So if those flights are really carrying iPhones, looks like we are in business!
