Do you really believe that if I order a 6s now I'll get it Friday?
I'm thinking of doing this to avoid waiting in line at a store that morning.

I ordered a rose gold 64gb 6S on the 15th and I have a sept 29- oct 6 date. I hope to get it Friday but might not.

Wow. If I receive my iPhone 6s+ on Friday, that means I purchased and received a new one on launch day for seven years in a row (2009 -2015). I'm not sure what to make of this. My guess is most of us will have our new iPhones on launch day.

You're one of those guys who screams at the poor employee who checks your receipt on the way out of the big box stores, aren't you? Chill out, man. It's a phone. Let the guys do their jobs, the last thing they need is some jerk busting their balls over something they have no control over.

What I ordered: iPhone 6s Plus, 128 GB, Silver
Shipping dates: 10/16 - 10/23
Status: Preparing to ship
Order: 9/12/2015 at 3:18 edt

After the order status webpage quit loading for me tonight, I tried an online chat with AT&T. The rep asked for my order number and zip code. However, he was unable to find the order. I'm not sure if he was entering it in wrong or if he just didn't want to help me. He suggested I call a phone number for help. It was an automated number, but it let me enter the line number instead of the order number. Lo and behold, it is telling me that my order has been sent to the warehouse for shipping and that it cannot be changed or cancelled. It gave me no tracking number but did say I would receive an email when my order shipped. It also didn't give me an expected shipping day.

On the AT&T website, it lists a different phone number for checking an order status. I tried that number too. After entering phone number and zip code, it tells me that my order is actually on a back order and apologized for he delay. :(

I'm not sure what to believe, lol. The website just loaded for me again and it is still showing the 10/16 - 10/23 shipping dates.

For an FYI, the number the online rep gave me is: 1-866-267-4510.
The order status number from the AT&T website is: 1-877-782-8870.
Thank you so much for this! It said the exact same thing and has given me hope that mine will be here on Friday!

Yeah, exact same thing here. It's so frustrating because the order I placed through Apple at the same time I already have tracking information for, and my phone even shows up on my Support Profile with them already, but AT&T, nothing. It was the same thing last year. I just hope I'm not saddled with FedEx for this year with them.
FedEx? What do they know about shipping. I hope you're not "saddled" with them either.

I understand the pain everyone is going through as I went through it last year. I'm happy to hear some folks are getting emails with shipment confirmations but as I stated many times, not everyone will be happy. I'm staying hopeful for you folks but it makes me beyond angry for you. Let's hope for some good news in the next couple of days

Hearsay, yes. But it's not from the mouth of a VP from AT&T. It's from the mouth of a person saying it was from someone in the office of a VP at AT&T.
Nope.. You didn't quite nail it there.. Let me correct for you...
It was from the mouth of someone who SPOKE DIRECTLY to a VP at ATT. Not a 'person in the office'.. That was another poster here. SunriseSammy said he spoke directly WITH a VP.. and then showed us proof of his 6SPlus (FROM AT&T) ship date changing to 9/25 AFTER the phone call. That's proof to me of who he spoke with. Any intelligent person, however skeptical, would have to agree.

Or maybe it was another poster than got their ship date changed and posted proof.. Was that you Sunrise?

I was wondering if anyone else who renewed their 2 year plan (not NEXT), got a preliminary notice of account changes. In it they added something hard to believe:

Additional Charges
One-Time Charges
Activation Fee $40.00
Upgrade/One Time Fee $45.00
Total Additional Charges $85.00

I posted in another thread a few days back but I was wondering if anyone else got this. It seems ridiculous that there is both an activation charge AND an upgrade fee. I will try to get the activation fee waived when I get my bill but this seems ridiculous.

Who, with an ATT order, has received shipment confirmation?
No one yet.. Tomorrow (Wednesday of launch week).. is when the AT&T shipping confirms happened last year..

1.5 hours to go on Eastern Daylight time before Wednesday.. And maybe seeing confirm emails!!

I'm curious, how many people Had to order through AT&T in order to keep their 2 year contract and how many people who already are on a Next plan ordered through them anyway even though they could have ordered elsewhere?

I ordered through At&T and stayed with the 2 year contract. Since I have multiple iPhones on my account, one is always eligible for upgrade. Monthly payments aren't for me.

We've been over this 100 times. The ATT model A1634 is different than the A1687 being sent to Verizon & Sprint. A1634 has the LTE30 band for ATT only. Supply chain problems for A1634.

Exactly! We have been over this hundreds of times in this thread alone, and there are probably other threads out there about this. When AT&T only has one model to choose from (yes I know other models will work with it, but they prefer A1634 so AT&T can take advantage of LTE Band 30) supply really gets choked quickly.

However, the way AT&T is handling this, is ridiculous. So many different answers and predictions from AT&T Support. I really just have to shake my head at it.

On the bright side of things, I have ordered from AT&T the past three years and received my phone exactly on time!

You do realize people get their facts mixed up, right? Sometimes they even outright lie. In the other 6S+ specific thread there is a poster who admitted to editing his 6S+ order screenshot to look like a 9/25 delivery just for laughs.

Kind of like when you said the PC Magazine article had specific numbers for AT&T pre-orders, and that it could be Googled because it was such an easy find... (and it turned it you were wrong about said article)

yeah.. mix ups happen.. No doubt. But mixing up sources of info isn't lying. You need to deal with the fact that we have it on good word from an AT&T VP that they expected 1 mil orders and got 3 mil. The PC mag article ourlined the different models. I already stood corrected on that point. You can choose to believe the VP report or not. But some people are flying off willy nilly and saying all sorts of emotional crap that has no basis.. I've just tried to offer an explanation to the the things we've seen based on facts AND anecdotal evidence we've gathered.. That's all.

If you're u actually did the math, or could do the math, you'd see that Next was cheaper.
Uhh.. not correct. But we don't need to do that here. Many other threads have taken on that topic and proven the case that NEXT is not really cheaper.. It's actually more expensive over the course of 2 years.. But let's not debate that here.

I saw that you had time to backpedal before I finished replying. This speculation and guessing and anticipation is all fun and good but when people start bullying Apple/ATT/Best Buy employees over something they can't possibly have any control over, then it's gotten out of hand.

Launch day hasn't even come yet and already you're cancelling your order because some guy on a forum said his wife's mom's cousin's neighbor knows a guy who works for ATT and he said it won't arrive on time? Lol.
LOL!!! Yeah I will admit there's a certain comic theater to all this.. Kind of like a really bad reality TV show.. showing the dysfunction of Apple Fanboys and girls.. Gave me a nice chuckle just now.. Thanks!
