Well this kind of sucks. I have to work friday, so I won't be home when they deliver it. I planned on just having it held at a location, but you apparently can't do that with Fedex. You need to sign up for their delivery manager service. Well that would be great, except I live with my girlfriend so the deliver doesn't come up under my account (for my home address in a different state).

Ok, so I register under an account for my girlfriend (since it's her address) but it won't show the package under delivery manager, likely because the name on the package is mine.

So I guess I just have to sit and wait until Monday. Screw you FedEx, this would have been so much easier with UPS where I could just request a Hold immediately (My girlfriend's UPS My Choice account shows packages with my name on them when they are addressed to my girlfriend's address)
 
So here's something a little odd: When I preordered my 128 GB Space Grey iPhone 6S a couple of weeks ago, AT&T pre-authorized my card for the tax on the phone's unsubsidized price as required by California law. After about a week, the authorization fell off, which is normal. This morning I received a shipping notification along with a FedEx tracking number. The handset is on its way and will be delivered on Friday. I haven't been re-charged the tax, however. Is this a glitch or is AT&T just going to tack the charge onto my next bill?
Is it normal for AT&T to ship an order without charging the card?
 
I'm sure they'll arrive. AT&T would have notify its customers if they weren't being delivered on the 25th?

A positive thing is that you will most likely get a phone on launch day. If your order was still in process, it would be October from what it looks like for all of us 6s Plus peeps. I still cannot believe that they would not contact you though the first time they tired the card and got a decline.


That's why I was so disappointed with AT&T. The rep explained that at the time when I made the preorder they did a temporary charge and it went through. About a week later the card was compromised. They have not attempted to make another charge since the phone hasn't shipped out yet.

I do hope all of you guys still end up getting your phone on launch. Next year I'm going back to ordering through apple like I usually do.
 
Update: RG6s - 64GB shipped. The SG6s - 64GB is still preparing to ship. I had some issues with the second one, and thought they were resolved, hopefully it's just a little behind.
Updating my update, the Space Gray 6S, 64 GB has shipped as well. Phew. Now I am waiting for them to show up under my FedEx delivery manger so I can just go pick them up.

My phones aren't showing up yet in the FedEx Delivery Manager. Both phones are in my name. So there's still updating going on. Also, I believe FedEx is also based on address and not name.
 
6s RG 64g ordered 3:03EST on 9/12. Just got shipping confirmation - picked up by FedEX on 9/20, delivers to VA on 9/25 by 8:00pm. When I went to place the preorder and saw the 6s+ was estimated for late October just a few minutes after 3:00, I jumped over to the Apple website and placed the order there for a 6s+ 64g - have been able to track that for a couple of days now. I don't get why I just now got shipping confirmation if it was picked up by FedEx on Sunday at 5:50am and left DFW yesterday. Oh well, I'm not complaining, but AT&T could have saved a number of customer support calls by rolling out shipping info a little faster. Hope you all get your phones sooner rather than later.

Estimated ship dates:
September 24, 2015 - September 24, 2015

They better not mess this up!
 
fwiw Tmobile is still able to ship at launch with free overnight shipping. I ordered a 6 plus through ATT last night and have a late October estimate.

Well they did. All of us that preordered the Plus through AT&T got emails stating Oct 16-23 as the expected ship date, even for people who ordered within 5 minutes on either side of 12:01am on the 12th. It would be easier to accept if it wasn't for the fact that no other provider seems to be having problems getting Plus models out.

Basically AT&T has said from day one that they aren't going out until mid-October, but they haven't said why, and with everyone else getting theirs on time it's particularly frustrating.

I don't think it's looking to good at the moment for the 6s+ phones.

I noticed someone posted a couple pages back that their 6s+ order that was placed later on Saturday was updated with new info showing late October. If his/her order was updated but mine hasn't been kicked back yet I'm taking that as a good sign. Hopefully no news is good news. AT&T has to have at least a few 6s+ units to ship for launch. I'm betting tomorrow we will find out who is lucky and who will be waiting. Either way I ordered mine 10 minutes into the preorder window. I can't possibly be that far back even if I don't get it Friday. These things will be leaving China as fast or faster than the glue dries.
 
On call with AT&T. They are saying that if I am not home when Fedex delivers, it goes back to their warehouse and they would cancel the order. Wtf? How can they expect everyone to be home from 8-8Pm. First time ordering through Att and they suck big time.
 
I'm really disappointed with AT&T here. Not sure if this has been mentioned before but I preordered on 9/12 and entered my shipping details perfectly. The next day, I get an order confirmation email that shows my shipping address lines 1 and 2 (street address and pushed to the same line my company's name omitted from the shipping label and instead of my actual phone number the number 999-999-9999. I specifically input my address in a certain way to avoid my nearly $1000 phone being shipped to the wrong building.

For those of you who are also experiencing this, the customer support dude said I could call the shipping carrier once I have a tracking number and have them update it. The AT&T guy was completely unable to help or offer an explanation why my shipping label was different than the information I entered.
 
Don't even try to change for pick -up with fedex, they still try to deliver first, but once driver stopped at my driveway and wanted to leave, he saw "pick-up " in the system, thanks got I blocked him with my car. Fedex or Att or Bank of America = total mess.
The one and only time I tried to do pick up with FedEx, they sent me to a center over 20 miles away and I waited for over an hour while they "tried to locate" my package.

I'm literally going to sit in the porch all day until I see them arrive.

My wife's 6s Rose Gold 128GB shipped via UPS. Origin scan on 9/21 in Tennessee and an arrival scan later that day in Kentucky, so it's obvious that the shipments are being held. Still hoping that my 6s Plus 128GB will make it on time. Both were ordered minutes after 3AM EDT when official preorders started but submitted again after 9AM due to Bank of America declining the charges. I'm one of the lucky few that has a 6s Plus order that shows an estimated shipping date of 9/24, so I'm still hopeful.
 
Ordered two iPhone 6S devices from ATT's site on the 12th, literally four mins into the order open.

iPhone SG 64 GB - no tracking yet.
iPhone RG 128 GB - finally received my tracking (it is FedEx).
Shows shipped from Fort Worth, TX on the 19th.

Don't lose hope people. :)

Got both tracking just now. One is UPS and one is FedEx.

Seems like they are woking on it.

I spoke to someone from Premier who claims that Apple basically didn't give AT&T any stock of the phones. I called him out on that and said it was impossible considering some of us got in minutes before preorders went live and still had an October delivery date. He tried to blame Apple again but I immediately shut him up when I said "well if it wasn't for AT&T's ridiculous anti-consumer policy that 2 year contracts can only be signed through AT&T's site then this wouldn't have been an issue." Even Verizon still allows that. A rep who saw my post on twitter finally got in contact with me and is trying to trace the issue but she hasn't found out anything yet. All in all, I think this is major egg on AT&T's face at this point. I have yet to find anyone who is getting their 6S+ on launch day that ordered from AT&T.

Assuming you ordered from AT&T and not apple, you'd be the only person with a 6s Plus order that shows anything other than mid October.
 
I've never ordered through AT&T until this year. How do you know a signature will be required? I know on the tracking page for fedex it usually says "Signature required." My order doesn't say that.
 
Has anyone been able to find their shipment via reference on the fedex or ups site. I still have not received any shipping information from AT&T.
