I have perfect reception where I live. I guess you should move somewhere else. :)
This! I am not going to call myself an AT&T fan or anything, but I also have no reception problems at all where I live (Dallas area). So moving is a very valid solution to your signal problems. :p
 
It's so true. I own a TON of Apple products. I've been very active on these forums, asking questions and helping others with answers. I came on here to voice my utter frustration with AT&T. Apple should be ashamed of itself for using them for the iPhone. Those who have no issues? Good for you. You're of no use. Those of you who live in cities where AT&T sucks know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Every friend of mine here (with or without an iPhone on the 3G network) complains of the exact same thing.

Dude. Calm down. You realize there is plenty of places verizon sucks for people, tmobile sucks for people, sprint sucks for people, AT&T sucks for people. How do we resolve this?

Simple. Find the one that doesn't suck as much where you live and purchase a phone with them. Wow!!

I just visited LA. I used my phone in my hometown, nashville, dallas, and LA, all in the past week and the iPhone 4 is still the best phone I've ever used.

Like I said man... time to break up with at&t and let it go. I'm sure other carrier will have better coverage to your area. iPhone4 isnt the end of all. I'm sure there are better phones on the horizons. :)

You dropped a call. Good for you. Your sister's iPhone order is messed up. Guess you better take care of that.

What are we to do for you?

For the record, AT&T customer for over 5 years. I have had better service and better customer service than I did for the years that I was with (and worked for) Sprint and Verizon.

It's a mobile phone. It's not a perfect technology. Quit crying... or do something about it. Either way, whining here accomplishes nothing.

Threads about a cracked screen at least show people what can happen (surprisingly easily) if they aren't extremely careful and potentially how to fix it.
 
Go to Verizon or TMobile. Then you can complain about those networks on other forums. I've used them all. They all are sub optimal. But complaining about an oligopoly is moot.
 
All I can say is that I can tell this is a thread by someone who has never used a Boost Mobile phone before. Not saying that AT&T is the greatest, or even defending them. However, I guess things are in the eye of the beholder. I came from Boost Mobile so my experience with AT&T felt like a vast improvement.
 
I've used a TON of networks in my life. I had One2One back in the UK, Orange UK, Vodafone UK, VoiceStream in the US - > TMobile USA. I've had a cell phone longer than I can remember.

But NO network comes close to the utter frustration that I experience with AT&T. Living in Seattle I drop so many calls that it's almost not worth making a long call via 3G, so I switch it off and use EDGE.

I tried to make a call today THREE times to Customer Service to find out why my new iPhone 4 order for my sister-in-law looks like this. I mean how helpful is this?

And they have no idea... nobody can help. GAH!!!

AT&T is full of incompetent idiots who don't know anything about what they're doing, have the most unreliable network I've EVER used, and... just wow!

Anyway, the second the iPhone goes to a different network, I'm gone. Gone, gone, gone.

I will pile on here. The network sucks beucase the order is in attention status? If you drop that many calls and still stay and are is ordering another device with them I would suggest that it is not AT&T that is the idiot.

Well said. To stick with at&t when you are having such a terrible experience with them is just foolish.

I know. People around here complain about reception on T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon. Obviously depends on where you live, but I've had nothing but good experiences with AT&T.
 
Honestly dude I didn't read your post cause I've got better things to do but based on Macrumors posting history, I'm sure you've got nothing constructive to say.

You have better things to do yet you took the time to examine his posting history in order to construct a snarky retort on Macrumors....If ATT being unusable for you is what it takes to get you to leave, mission accomplished. I'll be sure to tip ATT in my next bill.
 
Apple fangirls get offended OP when you post ANY negative iphone threads. The iphone and att is perfect to them. Steve Jobs has his hooks in them deep.

Your not aloud to post negative remarks on mac rumors or you get flamed. Apple fanboys are just like the iphone, they're broken on the inside and out. And both have limited functionality.

I dont care what you say, but please just learn the difference between "your" and "you're". It crazy annoying when people try to be smart, when they fail at presenting their arguments....

23 Hrs, color me purple, I think I'm on 1.5 days of useage wish all phones had that time, EVO's a good phone, gotta admit that battery is doo doo though, come on, admit it. I think the EVO is great, but it's got a weak battery!

I was not referring to "his" posting history, but just the influx of people who have nothing constructive to say on this site. It really has become a cesspit.
