Can someone that hasn't upgraded confirm they have unlimited minutes..

I made a reservation to pick up my iPhone 6s on the 25th...

I was also given unlimited minutes out of the blue.

I am on the 700 minute family talk plan for $60.00 first line plus $9.99 per line. I get 24% discount. So I have unlimited minutes. But tempted to switch to 550 minute line to save another $10

I wonder if you will still have unlimited. This can't be true or everyone would go to the lowest nation plan and have unlimited for like 30 dollars for there phone bill plus there text and data charges.

I switched from FT 1400 --> FT 700 and kept unlimited.

Yeah. One thing keeping me from going all the way down to 550 minutes is 3 line limit. I already have 3 lines and like the opportunity to add lines if needed

AT&T has been on my good side lately.

First, I jumped the gun and paid a $205 early termination fee to get off contract and have them unlock my phone so I can sell it and upgrade to the 6s, not realizing that I could have purchased the new phone through Apple and still kept my AT&T contract going for the final year.

I told them my story and they credited me back my $205 AND are allowing me to stay off contract with an unlocked phone that I'll be selling.

Then AT&T announces that folks with unlimited data plans won't be throttled until they hit 22GB of usage per month.

Then AT&T increased my Talk plan to "unlimited" right out of the blue...so now I've got unlimited Talk, Text, and Data for $80/month.

Then I was chatting with a rep today who credited my account $10 just for being a loyal costumer.

Definitely planning on staying with these guys for a while.

Did they allow to upgrade for 6s at subsidy price?
Your line is out of contract now. Sometimes they remove contract, but don't move upgrade eligibility. In this case just take old dumb phone, go to corp store or online and open additional line. Wait 10-15 days when it become upgrade eligible. Upgrade the main line, but swap upgrade from the new line. The new line in 10 days become not upgrade eligible without contract. Close the new line. Any time you open, upgrade, renew it takes 10-15 days for Att account to update.

What city are you in, for those who are getting unlimited anytime minutes?

I have FT9 SHom 600R UM2M, but it's also not nation wide. I tried turning on WiFi calling, and it said it wasn't ready for my area yet. Can you turn on WiFi calling? Is it ready for your area yet?

I do not have any option to switch over to 550 minutes.

The only plan change I have is: (Is this what's turning into Unlimited anytime minutes?) I have 4 lines so that may prevent me from choosing 550.

Nation 700 FamilyTalk w/Rollover® Minutes
Share minutes between two or more lines and save with one low price! This plan requires a two-line minimum. Add up to three more additional lines at $9.99 each.
With this plan, you'll enjoy:
    • Unlimited Nights and Weekends calling from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m

Meanwhile, they can't stop screwing people like me.

I didn't upgrade and today when checking the details on my account it now says unlimited.
But the summary page and *646 still shows X/550 or X/rollover .

I didn't get a text like some others

I asked AT&T to upgrade my plan from FT 600 to FT 700.

My plan is old, from Cingular days. I couldn't change it, they couldn't change it. They said I can have FT 700, which is Nation wide calling and running a special right now. It's only $10 more than what I am paying my my old plan was just California. So it's going to take 5 days to switch, going to the research team. I bet they will have to rebuild my entire account from scratch.

I have two UDP lines, which I told them it's imperative I keep that. And after all said and done, I hope it gets the same treatment as you have, going to unlimited. Nights and weekends are unlimited anyway.

The only plan on the FamilyTalk tier that's unlimited is, $70 base and $50 per line. Which is crazy expensive.

Weird, I just got a text a few minutes ago from att saying they upgraded me to unlimited minutes (from my $69.99 family talk 700 voice plan) after I preordered an iPhone 6s rose color on my line for my wife.

Anyone else get this text after their pre order?

While I highly doubt I ever need "unlimited minutes" since I already had rollover plus 10 landlines and any mobile.

But it's still nice to have. Since I have the grandfathered unlimited data plus $20 unlimited family text and option to always add a $9.99 line WITHOUT data. I now have a lot of flexibility with my line.
I have Family Talk 850 and I pre-ordered a 6S and 6S+. I didn't receive any text.

I haven't upgraded, yet. Still on my 3 yr old iPhone 5, contract ended last year. Got the text yesterday about unlimited minutes. Quite happy :)

Might be area specific. The people and family I know and myself who are still on the old nation plans haven't received a text and aren't getting unlimited talk from their accounts.

So far nothing has changed for me, other than my Unlimited data plan being 'throttled' at 22Gb instead of 5Gb, as everyone just got. My 450 Rollerover minutes are still just that. And I started a new billing cycle just yesterday.

I have pre-ordered for iPhone 6S, but my only status is "Preparing to ship" on the date range of Oct. 16-23. And it's extending my 2-year subsidized contract.

I'm hoping they get around to me, like they did for you guys!

One point: I could never digest the fact that carriers still charge for text messages even when you have a data plan. It certainly seems like double-dipping (double-charging) to me. I just don't know why there hasn't been a huge consumer movement against the carriers for the fact that text messages IS simply data (small bits of data at a time).

Anyways...yeah...AT&T has been on my better side lately, now I'm glad I didn't ditch them for this contract go-around.

I don't mind being on a 2 year contract and upgrading every other year; I just don't think it's worth the expense to constantly have the latest and greatest all the time with what a pseudo-monthly "contract" brings you (Next, Apple Upgrade Program, etc.).

I'm on the old 450 minute plan and was switched over to unlimited minutes at the start of my current billing cycle at the end of August. No text received. I even called AT&T yesterday. The rep I spoke with verified it.

My billing ends in 3 days. Maybe I'll get the text or see it in my account. I'm on nation wide 700 minute plan w/rollover, mobile to ANY mobile and unlimited family text, 4 lines each with unlimited data.

I have a family talk 700 plan. I haven't gotten a text, but I noticed a few days ago that it said unlimited minutes on the website.

I'm tempted to drop down to the 550 minute plan, but I'm confused by the text messaging options. Right now I have the family unlimited messaging/unlimited mobile-to-mobile plan for $30, but it isn't compatible with the 550 minute plan. Does anyone know what the text option is for the 550 minute plan? Is the $20 messaging plan total for all of the lines combined or is it $20 per line?
