Thanks OP! Just got 20GB for 10GB price and a $200 credit! The credit and new rate showed up on ATT.com about 5 minutes after the phone call.

Wow! I don't understand how some of you are getting $200 credits and free stuff. I can't imagine the rep saying "Hey, do you want a $200 credit as well?" What are you saying to them to give such a credit? Congrats by the way.
I asked her to waive my recent upgrade fee. She said I'll do better and give you a $100 credit. I looked at my bill and its actually a $200 credit. Great job ATT!

Is the AT&T retention dept hours 24/ 7 ? I would call but i'm not the "main" acct name on the service ..
I'd love to take advantage of this and ditch unlimited and gain tethering but it will cost us roughly $10 more than what we are paying now. My mom and I are on an account in her name and my dad has his own account by himself. If we merge we would pay roughly $10 more after taxes than right now separated. And for my dad who along with my mom uses a flip phone, won't see the point in paying more money when in his eyes he isn't gaining anything.
Three tries now on the Small Business side and three strikes. Seems like it might be consumer only.
Right now my dad is on the the basic 450 plan with a 20% discount and pays ~$40 give or take after taxes every month. My mom and I are on a Family Talk 550 with my line having unlimited data and 1000 texts, after a 20% discount we usually pay $100 so combined its usually $140 between the 2 bills. If you moved over to Mobile Value plan for 3 lines, you would be getting unlimited text, talk and 20gb for three lines. If your Mom doesn't use a smartphone, it doesn't matter. Her line will still be $15 per mo. And the data is not limited to each line, so the 20gb can be used by you for tethering or whatever. Unlimited is capped at 5gb's, so you would be gaining 15gb's with no slow down and gain hotspot for free. I don't know how much you and your Dad pay each month, but you should add it all up and compare it to $130 for all of you on one plan

I could not get small business to budge either. I'm going to give them a few days and see if they get the memo.
I'm a premier customer and I got the deal. Premier doesn't have a "retention" department. You have to ask for the "save" department. They helped me out.
Tried like 4 times prior to finally getting to correct department.
The lady said don't acknowledge your number when prompted after calling 611

See my post. I'm on premier and got the deal.
Thanks, I'll give it a try tomorrow! Do you have a small business account?

Would they double a 30gb plan to 60gb ? Or this is only good for going from 10 to 20gb ?
Thanks

The 3 of us don't come close to maxing our minutes out and we have probably 5000 rollover minutes between us. I also rarely come close to using half my text bucket thanks to iMessage.
If we merge to a Mobile Share 10GB plan its going to be $125 for 3 lines after 20% discount and before tax. Tax in NYS runs around 23% so we are looking at around $153 and change.
Data wise I average about 4-7 gigs a month and although I get throttled most times past 5GB its usually in the last 3-4 days of the billing cycle and I don't feel any negative effect from it on the way I use my phone and data. Tethering I only have any real need for 1-2 times a month max, and its not critical to have just a luxury more than anything.
At this point I look at it as a decision between sticking with what I have and am perfectly happy with or switch to a current plan, pay a little more to get "more" but never actually make use of that "more".
Your move Verizon!
