My 10GB to 20GB change could not be put through because I had a pending 6+ order. The rep said it would automatically change once I activated my new phone. That order just arrived and was activated yesterday, but my account is still saying 10GB. I did get the text on 10/22 from retentions saying "changed to the 20 GB mobile value share plan" etc.
I'm going to wait it out, I still have 24 more days in this billing cycle so hopefully I'll learn from what happens to this group.

My plan was switch to the 15/30 plan today. I'm pissed!

What you should do is call them back and have see if they can change you to the 15/30 plan at the 10/20 price. They should have at least notified you of what they were going to do; if they didn't, you have a +1 on them that you can use.

On the phone with them now and only thing they can do is open a ticket issue because the plan is not offered anymore and he can not add it back. So have to wait few days for someone higher up to change it.

Ouch.. and the problem you're going to run into is that if it takes longer than Friday for them to resolve it, you may miss the 15/30 plan altogether, being stuck only at 15GB.

You may want to bring that up with them.

The AT&T rep said it was changed by "operations" and she doesn't know why. She would like to put me back on but she is unable to. She opened a ticket for me and it said it will be resolved on November 6th. Not sure why, but she said they will get an answer for me.

I have been through the ticket process several times when I still had my unlimited data plan things kept mysteriously messing it up, a sim card change, my sister buying a new phone and store tricked her into a new plan right when mobile share came out etc.

Every time the ticket was issued and completed within a matter of days to restore unlimited and all of these were more than a year after unlimited was gone. You shouldn't have any issues getting back on the plan that was offered to you originally.

That makes me feel a little better, thanks. I was going to call again, but I will just allow the ticket process to happen. Unless you think it is better to call again.

In case anyone else is as slow as me, ;) in my account overview on the web it still says 10GB data plan and the pie chart shows how much data I've used out of 10GB. I happened to look at a different page and the usage shows out of a total of 20GB. So I don't know if it's supposed to change everywhere but if you think you have the plan and it's not there yet poke around the usage to see if you see the other graph.

I never had to call multiple times any of the times I got unlimited added back on. I would just wait it out and be patient if they can do it they will and "it not being available anymore" isn't a roadblock for the people the ticket gets sent to.

On oct 31st all the advertised double data deals will end...but for the general public only..and theyre not dropping out of the system like the 20 for 10 deal did..cuz that one wasnt advertised...starting nov1st. All those double deal plans.....which will then be considered grandfathered plans...will be going to the retentions dept....and they will be they only ones who will have authority to add those plans to our accounts.....so anyone who has the 20 for 10 deal and is getting jerked around with either not being able to upgrade phones....or who had the system switch them to a 30 for 15 and you got a trouble ticket with a november decision date...shouldnt panic before oct31st deadline and voluntarily switch to another double data deal...cuz then u will lose that plan for sure. There are notes in yor record saying u had the deal and they should be able to get you on the double deal of your choice... Of course u should call retentions dept yorself. before oct31st and verify all this because things seem to be changing daily these days at att.....

I have been a 10GB family share plan around since they introduced it.
When they offered the 15/30 plan, I jumped on it.
A few weeks ago, like most everyone here, I called and inquired about the 10/20.

After some wrangling and being put on hold, I was told I could be brought back to 10, and then get 20.

But I still had around 10+ days left to go on my cycle and had used about 15gigs.
She said she would put it in the system to turn on the first day of my next cycle.

With all this talk about "turning off that option" and not being able to even apply it anymore, I was a little concerned.

Well, today is the first day of my cycle and lo and behold, 20gigs is showing up.

So, I am happy, just need to double check on Nov 1st to see if it magically changes to either 10 or 15/30.

Thats interesting....so maybe it still really is a valid plan that is still in their system...contrary to what weve all been told.....otherwise how cud the system Have automatically added it to your account ?

Good to know, thanks for the update. I was told the same thing but my cycle isn't up until November 8th.

has the change from the 20gb to 40gb today not happened to anyone else?

or has no one noticed yet...?

Yes, mine changed to 40GB ($150) also. It happened once before after I got changed to the 20GB plan.

I called in to get it fixed but now happened again today...

Not sure what to do. I don't want to miss out on the double promotions because of this glitch. Maybe I should stick to the 15GB doubled to 30GB.

I was excited when I first read this, as I was pondering the double to 30GB plan (currently on 10GB).

Am I correct in understanding that AT&T is no longer offering the free 10-->20GB upgrade? And, those who did get it are being incorrectly charged and upgraded to double 20GB =40GB plan?

No reason for me to call now?

Yes, you missed the boat on the 10->20 doubling.

Yes/no - some are reporting incorrect charges/upgrades but by no means is that affecting all. Or even many/most. My account seems fine.

Only reason for you to call now is if you want to get on board the doubling of 15GB or higher plans. That deal is still live.

I'm happy for you all who got in in the 10-20 doubling option. However, I think it's a horrible move on ATT's part to offer this to some, but not all of their customers.

That was literally like a few days ago...

Dude, check the date of the first post on this thread. Maybe not a few weeks, but it wasn't a few days either.

They didn't offer it to anyone, not a single person.

They made an exception for a few people, it got posted on SlickDeals and there was a torrent of requests.

I don't blame AT&T for shutting it down.
I wouldn't have been upset if I couldn't get it.
It wasn't an offer.

Me thinks, because she made the change when I called, it was available.
It just wasn't turned on until today.

I got a notice of the change after my call but not today.

I think the plan option is gone.
Now I just hope it stays with me for as long as I am with AT&T.

It wasn't an on the table offer, no.

But they did offer it to you to keep you as a subscriber who was "thinking of switching carriers to get more data at your current plan pricing".
