Is this 20GB to 40GB change happening at the beginning of your billing cycles? Or just randomly?

i still can't see much of anything on my account. it shows the bar graph with GB left... but no where can i click and make sure i'm only going to be charged $100 - my FAN discount for my data.... my billing date is the 14th so i guess i just have to wait it out....

it shows usage from the 22nd, but if i click on "change plan" i see this:

Looks like you have the only Mobile Share plan currently available to you. For further assistance, call 1-800-331-0500.

I think that is good, you seem to be locked in still.

Just got off the phone with retentions again... The CSR was super nice and she noticed it got changed to the 40gb without my authorization; possible systems error with AT&T and had put in a ticket for me. She said it's very clear it was changed due to AT&T's error and will credit me all the prorated charges too...

It's annoying but call retentions, not the reg CSRs...

Problem was this weekend when I was online looking to replace my wife's phone. Both the Apple and ATT sites wold not allow me to add her new phone to the current plan we are on, but were forcing me to pick a new data plan. Hoping this is a temporary issue, but I guess I'll find out when I get a chance to call.

When I went to the 15 GB x 2 upgrade, the rep on the phone told me that I would have to go to an AT&T store from now on when I upgraded a phone, otherwise I would lose the free doubled data. If you go to an Apple store or order from AT&T online, the doubled plan won't show up and you'll lose it. This rep said that AT&T will NOT be able to upgrade you back to the double plan after 10/31 unless you are in-store. Don't know if the rep knew what they were talking about, but anyone with a doubled plan will need to be extra careful with future upgrades.

Update, not good.

For those that had pending orders, I have some not good news. I was going to wait it out but decided to be impatient and I'm glad I did. I just had 2 separate 40 min conversations with regular CSR, a CSR manager, then retentions.
The regular CSR saw that I got a text confirming the deal and then said he had a better deal, doubling the 15 to 30. I said that I wanted to 10 to 20 deal that I was confirmed for. He said that deal was never available and there was no way to get it and kept pushing the 30 deal. Manager said the same, but did at least send me to retentions and said he would "bring them up to speed on where we left off". I overheard the first 10 second or so of that conversation, started off with "hi, we have another code for a double data that we cannot activate..."

I could go on and on about the conversations (retentions had to call me back after another internal conversation) but it ended with me not being able to get the 10 for 20, even though I have a confirmation text that says it was added. The retentions rep was very honest and basically said this was a royal screw up and he had never seen anything like this before. He submitted a ticket but said he could not promise anything. I'll update as to where this goes from here, trouble ticket has a nov 3rd date.

I never gotten a text that it was added. When I finished my conversation with retentions.. I did check my plan and it showed the 20GB usage bar. I did however check data plan usage via text and it confirmed my old 10GB plan was deactivated. So, was the plan even active at all during the transition 10 to 20 GB plan? I don't see how the iPhone order effected it..

There were a few people like me that had pending iPhone 6 orders. We were told that the plan would be changed once the new phone was shipped and activated.

I don't think you need to receive a text message to confirm you had the plan. If you saw it on your account you have a leg to stand on.

Hmm.. That's unfortunate. I guess.. By it not being active on your plan it gave AT&T the out to not abide by it. I know someone on the forum had it changed once their cycle begin.. The account was noted to be changed though.

Yeah, I just wanted to confirm it. I know the plan was given prematurely to us by the fact AT&T decided to pull the plug so quickly. Very fortunate to have it..

That's weird because I had a phone on order when they upgraded me and I rec'd and activated it yesterday and am still on the 20gb plan.

I'm concerned about activating a new phone. I have one arriving on 11/2 but my billing cycle won't be updated until 11/6. Has anyone who received the 20GB plan activated a phone since last week?

For those that got the incorrect 40GB on their account, was it ever correct on the account and it changed, or was it always wrong?

I ask because I did this and from the beginning it said 20G in terms of the pie chart with my usage, but I haven't been able to "view my plan" and when I tried to change it (just to see if I could see the plan), I got the note others got that this was the only plan available, etc. etc.

I made the change last week and this week started a new billing cycle.

they are going to have a LOT of pissed off customers if that's the case! there is no way i want to suffer through getting my next phone via at&t...

I just tried to do this and they told me that it ended.

Mine last week said 20GB and 3 days ago it got switched to 40GB... I called Retensions and they said they see where I didn't change plan and am credited $80 on my next bill and put in a ticket to have my 10GB double back to 20GB since it wasn't a promotion and needs a supervisors permission.

Nope, whoever you talked to is an idiot. That is not how things work. At all.
