I got the 10gb->20gb upgrade a day after the original post and my account has a cycle ending in about 10 days. I currently see 20gb available for use.

One thing I have to ask.

If this was never an intended plan, how did a first tier retentions agent have the authority to double my data, over the phone, without even breaking our conversation to do so or ask a supervisor for authorization? It seems that now, every encounter I have read deems it necessary to go above retentions and fill out an order ticket to fix what an agent was simply able to do with one phone call.

What I am saying is, 20gb of data must have been selectable from their side, or there was a way they can manually input the data quantity to double your plan.

It was most likely something they added so that retentions could offer it to customers planning to cancel their service. Someone on SlickDeals or Fatwallet found out about it and then everyone knew.

It was a code that they were able to use like unl data has a code. Because the deal is not offered anymore reps are unable to put the code back on and have to create a ticket/case to have it readded

Someone on the SlickDeals thread, who no doubt threatened the AT&T CS agent with everything, claims that he was told, there is no more 10/20 plan and everyone that got it will be rolled back.

I highly doubt it but I will be watching.

Is this 20GB to 40GB change happening at the beginning of your billing cycles? Or just randomly?

Randomly for me too. Billing cycle ends on the 14th. Switched from 10gb to 20gb on 10/22. Account showed 20gb until yesterday. I just happened to check yesterday and I was showing 40gb. Immediately called and they credited me $55 off my bill and opened a case to switch account back to 20gb. Says resolution wont be until Nov 11th.

Has anyone gotten a new bill that reflects/recognizes the 20gb for 10gb plan/price? Just curious how it shows up on a bill. Of course, nothing shows up online, but I figure they have to put something on the bill, right? I got the deal on day two of the thread I think, and I'm still showing 20gb.

I have. The credit was applied and all is good. Plan still shows 20gb and if I added the credit to this months bill I get the same amount that I pay every month even when I had the 10gb plan.

I got the 20GB for $100 on the 21st and its still there. AT&T needs to name the plan to fix all the online issues with it.

Mine wasn't supposed to go to 20 until my next billing cycle which starts November 8th, so I don't have it yet. But if that's the case I will seriously think about switching to Sprint at that time. I use wifi most of the time and I'm getting to the point where I'm not too crazy about paying AT&T $45 more (line charge x3) per month for half the data. We only use about 6GB anyway so it's basically AT&T giving us something we won't even use to keep us happy - won't cost them a thing. If they can't do that, and go back on what they originally told me, then that might be the final straw.

I doubt that'll be the case but we'll see.

That's BS because they can't roll you back. It wasn't an error, it was an official offer to prevent cancellation. If they end it now, it would mean they held you under false promise and made you miss out on Sprint deal, and that **** is illegal (holding a customer off based on false statements). While we know that majority of us weren't gonna cancel, it doesn't change the fact it was an official offer to keep you on AT&T.

When you say it's "there", are you referring to a graphic or overview page that lets you know how much data you've used and how much is available?

Or is it in your plan details page that lists all of your plan options?

It's "there" on the main page as a total of remaining data left when you log in. But it seems like this plan doesn't "exist" so whenever you try to change your plan, it errors.

My account is still showing 20Gb (16.6 left, 3.4used) however, when I go to the plan details, I get an error that I am on a plan that is available only to me.

they wouldnt budge with me, not sure what i am doing wrong....I even said the "you are willing to lose a 10+ year customer of $30" and they didnt care....

If you did it in the last fews days, it is because it is over. OVER.

AT&T actually did the smart thing, they took it out of the CS's hands.

They can't give it to you even if they wanted to.

I hope you are right.

I am staring at a 20GB plan on my AT&T app and couldn't be happier.

That is basically an unlimited, unthrottled data plan to me.

Yes. For you it's on the graphical overview page. With the poster I was quoting, I would assume it is the same, but I am looking for someone who actually has a page that shows the 20gb bump up as a plan.

Seems that probably won't happen.

And BTW. When did you screenshot that pic you posted?

LOL, ok, thought one of the previous posts said 31 October....

Originally it was thought to go for as long as the published offer was good (which was the 31).

However the plug got pulled early due to the deal becoming too public -- it was all over the tech boards.

That's because IT'S OVER. FOR A WEEK NOW.

I sent a message to the mods last night asking them to change the thread title to somehow indicate the deal is dead so they either haven't gotten to it yet or don't plan to.

Yeah we're so smug. This dude says the deal is over a WEEK after it ended. Clueless much?

I am in the Navy and currently out to sea. My connection is slow and I couldn't read every page and get up-to-date information on the issue because it would take hours. I saw that a helpful member posted this thread, and for the sake of helping others trying to get the deal, I posted that I tried and I was told that it ended.

Continue to sleep well at night while I keep ISIS at bay.
