When you say it's "there", are you referring to a graphic or overview page that lets you know how much data you've used and how much is available?

Or is it in your plan details page that lists all of your plan options?

Yes. I only see that I have like 18GB left. I also see the same error message you have.

Before I changed, I was on the 30GB plan for the price of the 15GB. IT said Mobile Share Promo 30GB plan or something. This plan won't even let me change it. Of course why would I want to.

I get this as well but won't know I fully am doubled till I see my bill. Word of mouth from their reps means squat been charged more than I was being told plenty of times before.

The 30GB plan has been extended...wont expire tomorrow.
Its only $25/mo more than the 20gb plan.

I am in the Navy and currently out to sea. My connection is slow and I couldn't read every page and get up-to-date information on the issue because it would take hours. I saw that a helpful member posted this thread, and for the sake of helping others trying to get the deal, I posted that I tried and I was told that it ended.

Continue to sleep well at night while I keep ISIS at bay.

Since you are at sea, you have a lot of time on your hands since ISIS has no boats :p In all seriousness, thanks for your service! Begs the question though, how did you call AT&T and stay on hold for hours being at sea? Also, if I were AT&T I would give this deal to all service men and women.

Something else that really baffle me: the FAN discount only 15% for military! yet i'm constantly reading on here about other people getting 20-25% FAN discounts!

PATHETIC!

I don't see why anyone is entitled to a discount for wireless service. It should cost everyone the SAME.

Yes. For you it's on the graphical overview page. With the poster I was quoting, I would assume it is the same, but I am looking for someone who actually has a page that shows the 20gb bump up as a plan.

Seems that probably won't happen.

And BTW. When did you screenshot that pic you posted?

I did it this morning as I was posting. My billing cycle ended on the 25th and I saw the change happen on the 27th.

Why should everybody pay the same? Sour grapes bc you dont have the discount?

Also, you should know what you are talking about before you make a comment. Nobody is entitled to a discount, however, if you belong to a large group, organization or company that uses ATT, Verizon or any other carrier, the carrier offers discounts to get those people onto their plans. Its called marketing. See how it works??? Their is no entitlement, its just business.

I do agree though, military should get a little more of a discount than the average Joe.

I know exactly how it works. I receive a discount myself, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if I didn't get it. And I completely disagree with you.

I just want to be 100% clear here.......

you completely disagree with my comment on corporate / larger organization discounts or you completely disagree that military members should receive a larger discount than the average joe?

I just received my bill and everything looks A-OK! Mobile share plan for (4) lines at 20GB with the proper $25 credit per line. So my total is $170 including the various taxes/surcharges, which is normal.

Three of my lines are smartphones and the 4th is a texting phone. I am buying a used 5s from a friend so I am hoping that I won't have any problems when I convert the last line to a smartphone. Just want to make sure I can keep the $25/line discount. I am so glad I saw this thread last week. Thanks to this awesome forum :)

I get 28% with my fan account...it depends on how much AT&T makes from certain corporates....BTW Thanks for serving!

I'm not sure that's the only criteria or their criteria at all. the post office is smaller than DoD and it gets a larger discount.

I can't believe that with all the different branches of military AND all the other government entities PLUS i know that at least the marine corps uses at&t as their official government furnished cell phones, that they aren't making a ton of money off of the government as a whole!

so to only give them a 15% discount is pretty bad compared to what some smaller companies are getting.

i just joined a shopping panel where i have to scan all my purchases (a neilson company), and once i belong to that for 3 months i'll be able to get a 25% disount from at&t just for being a member.

so i'm really not sure how they come up with their discounts?!?

Both. You gave your reasoning and I don't agree. I don't think ANYONE should receive a discount on wireless service. Just because I work at X Corporation should that mean my electric bill gets discounted or my cable TV or internet? So why does everyone get discounts on their wireless bill.

AT&T and other companies offer discounts because it encourages people to use their service. Also I'm sure they've done studies where if you offer say a 28% discount that person may pay for a higher tier of service, they are making their money either way. And there are probably places you can work that offer discounts on cable TV or internet.

Discounts are just a fact of life. It's not fair of course to those who don't get discounted. But I'm sure those who do, don't mind at all. Who in their right mind wants to pay more for a service?

So why does everyone get discounts on their wireless bill.

Different companies contract with different wireless services for their cellphones.

Part of the deal-sweetener is often discounts available to employees for their personal phone service.

Discounts to land business from certain groups is a fact of life across all areas of business.
