Thanks everyone for this. Just got off phone with them and now also have 20GB for same price. Easiest call ever. :)

I was on the 10GB plan and then switched to the 30GB promo... One quick call and I'm back to the 20GB plan with a $30 credit.

Thanks!!!!

I hate the phone so i tried this on chat and it worked! i was transferred in chat three times but i was persistent to match sprints offer and they did!

After getting changed to the 20GB plan metntion here, I now see this message when trying to view my plan online.

Looks like you have the only Mobile Share plan currently available to you. For further assistance, call 1-800-331-0500.

Is anyone else seeing the same? Just want to confirm.

Worked like a charm. AT&T seemed ready for my call. Went from 10GB to 20GB and knocked $5 off of my monthly bill.

The automated call options I got didn't match what others are reporting. I had to talk to a CSR and ask for the retention dept.

Very cool...thanks OP.

I get that too.

Has anyone tried getting the $15 line fee waived? Sprint is waiting their fees until 12/31/15.

Highly doubt they'll do that. I was told they couldn't. I've seen several other posts. But the rep will usually see if they can find something else to help a bit. I was offered 1/2 off accessories. I've seen several other people state they were offered a one time credit of around $40.

I don't mind paying the line fee. I don't expect AT&T to be as cheap as Sprint. There's a reason why it costs more - the network - and I don't mind paying a bit of a premium for that.

Worked for me too today. Just used voice recognition on 611 on the phone. Said, "retention department" and was taken straight there. No argument, just made the change: 10 gb to 20 gb. thank you MacRumors

I got mine done. I went from a Family plan 700 with 4 lines and unlimited data grandfathered plan. Went to the 20gb plan for 100.00. I basically pay 80.00 for the plan since I have a 20% discount off the plan. Then I have to add the additional sub charges for the lines. Just called 611 and went to the retention department. Do not talk to CUSTOMER SERVICE at all. It has to be a cancellation/retention rep.

Thank you OP! I had upgraded to the 15 GB / Double Data 30 GB plan. It was a little more than I needed. This 10/20 GB plan is great. Took 10 minutes and done. 611 / 0 / 3 worked great.

I just called ATT and got my data doubled. Took about 15 minutes, but half of that time I was on hold. Checked my account online and it shows we have 19GB data left for the month. Probably don't need the extra 10GB data but it was FREE. THANKS OP!!

If you haven't already - call. People have posted that they've been downgraded to 10, doubled to 20 for free, and been given a credit for the 30GB plan they were on.

Called and got the 10/20gb, and a $30 credit for the month I paid for 30gb.

I just got my 10 doubled, too. Called the 611 0 3 number and just asked if they could match the Sprint plan. She said I wasn't eligible, and I just said oh that's fine I guess, I was really hoping you could match the other plan. She said she would check again, and then I was eligible because I'm a loyal customer! Well would you look at that. 10 doubled to 20, no price increase, no promotional period. Thanks, MacRumors Forum!

Best part, she said "now don't go and tell all your friends about this, we're doing this because you are a loyal customer." I don't know any of you people, so...

Worked for me!

Took a while to get to retentions and had to listen to a customer service rep repeatedly tell me no such offer existed. I finally had to bluntly tell the rep - "I don't believe that is true, can I please speak to someone in retentions?" - they transferred me and the guy in retentions instantly stated that there is such an offer and he would move me over right away, no fuss.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they start to make this much more difficult or limit the amount they're doing it. I'm sure forums other than slick deals and Mac rumors are discussing this, so the number of calls they've gotten on this topic is probably in the thousands. I'm guessing it is very much on the retention department's radar screen this morning.

Done, Done and Done

Got it done in less than 5 minutes. Called the main number got a CS rep, asked for retention she transferred me right away. I was in the hold queue for 5 minutes, mentioned the Sprint 20gb plan and 5 min later it was done.

AT&T now doubling 10GB plans to 20GB

Yup got my 10GB bumped to 20GB, the rep also said the double data offer stays on the account for as long as you stay with AT&T.

Oh and the funny thing is the rep said tell anyone you know that has AT&T about this offer and tell them to call in. So I don't think they're trying to keep it a secret.

I am being charged 40.00 for my phone since I used my upgrade to the iphone 6 plus. Has anyone been successfull getting the discount and only pay 15.00 or 25.00?

Just got it. Don't know if I spoke to a rententions guy, but the when the automated voice guy came on, I said "Cancel my account, gave my number, and spoke to someone.

I'm now on the 20GB unadvertised plan using the "I see that Sprint has a 20GB plan for the same price and I was wondering if you could match it" line.

edited: change "not" to "now"

Worked for me, took all of 5 min and she was so nice to speak with. I could tell she was trying to give me a free microcell too but we really have no need for one so didn't take it.

He could be trying to "screw" AT&T in his mind. lol. ;)
