Long story
-10/27 254am Preorder placed on the AT&T website for SG 256 through AT&T Next. Says whatever fees/taxes will be charged to the next bill.
-Received email immediately saying "Thank you for your order! We're working on it!" and included an Installment Agreement PDF attachment
-Checked order status through email link and showed Nov 3rd Delivery date
-YAY, go to bed
-10/27 259pm I receive an email saying "Your order is Pending." "Thank you for your recent order! We're sorry. We couldn't complete your order. Call us at the number below as soon as possible so we can get your order back on track."
-10/27 315pm I called the number. Spoke to 3 different people on and off hold for over an hour. The final lady told me she saw nothing wrong, my order was good to go and I should receive my phone on Friday Nov 3rd
-Checking Status multiple times a day, reading this Macrumors thread and a few similar Reddit threads
-Last night I start seeing people finally get tracking numbers, but not me. Order still "In Progress"
-Today, too busy to call and handle this ******** until 945pm. Pretty much assumed I was not getting my phone tomorrow.
-Hit up AT&T Chat. Type out the whole spiel. My order is still pending and that is "not good." Tells me he can't help and I need to call. Useless.
-Call AT&T at 950pm. I tell the first lady the whole spiel and it disconnects. Call back. Tell another lady everything. Over 45mins I have to give her all the details and she places, I'm assuming, a new order. Dozens of mess ups and her not getting my info correct. Asked me multiple times if my phone number was 111-110-1000(or something along those lines). I keep saying I'm not sure what that number is and it's def not the same phone number I gave her within the first few seconds of calling her. At one point she asks if I would like any accessories like a screen protector. I could get one for $45 today. Why would I BUY anything from them right now. I should be getting stuff for free to make sure I don't cancel my whole account. She sends me an email to "
Accept Terms & Conditions." I accepted the terms... and asked for my tracking number. Surely I'll get my phone tomorrow right? She says I'll get a confirmation email with my Order Status. Haven't received the email yet.
So, I still have no confirmation number and no idea when I'm getting my phone.
What a cluster****
Never again. I've always gotten my phone from Apple on launch day. Never using AT&T for pre-orders again.
