Got my phone from the Apple store. Had a delivery window of 11/2-11/10, cancelled with ATT. 256 silver. It’s very pretty. Still getting used to no home button but it takes great pics! Looking forward to discovering how the AR works. It’s a great phone and so glad I don’t have to wait anymore.

My apple says they have available devices. I would call to make sure they still had one but do i have to cancel my order right now with att with it being in progress and a ship date of 11/2 - 11/10?

Unless you have an extra line, you have to cancel the order. Especially if you are using an upgrade or AT&T Next.

I checked with the att and Apple stores near me yesterday morning ...
Att got 8 of each, that they weren’t expecting to receive, and they were all gone in that morning from people that just walked in.
All Apple stores with in 100 miles of me are out, of 256gb anyway.

If I had gotten out launch day I could have easily gotten one, but now my best bet is waiting on Att. I’ll keep checking Apple though.
 
My bro had a 12/4 date and I had a 11/2-11/10 and i just checked and his is back ordered and is preparing to ship while mine is still in progress smh

Check your local Apple stores each morning, if there is stock of the phone you want. I would chance it, cancel your order if you still have that option, then have your apple webpage up to sign into your account while checking out. When you cancel your line upgrade is immediately back to be used.

You just hope you don't cancel and then lose the ability to reserve the phone. I was awake at 8am on saturday morning and they had stock at two stores. I went in at 5:30 to pick it up and I was last to receive what they had he said.
 
So ATT screwed me and did not tell me until hours before delivery. Still shows processing, but the President's office said I started the whole ordeal by having an apple order and cancelling it before processing the ATT one. The president's office said that someone there messed with the order and overturned my upgrade eligability after the order was placed and confused their systems. I wish they didnt wait until hours before delivery to tell me I wasnt getting it.

I was able to find them at a local store though, so all hope is not lost. I will not be doing an upgrade through ATT again after this debocle
 
Does ordering through AT&T Premier work better than pre-ordering through Apple's site?
I opted to pre-order through Apple and mine is still with 'Order in Progress' with my date pushed back from Nov 17-24th to Nov 20-27th while I'm seeing that people's orders are speeding up or changing from in progress to shipping.

I've been checking the AT&T stores and Apple stores and they've all told me they're out of stock and don't know when they'd restock.
 
We shall see. My AT&T order still says In Progress.

Man, yesterday I cancelled my pre-order and 4 minutes after, made an appointment with Apple on the Apple Store app with a reservation on a 256GB space gray iPhone X. Bam!! Got my wife her iPhone X instead of waiting until Nov. 17. Now we both have ours. I suggest you do the same.

The ATT had a promo going on that if you preorder at the store, you got $100 in free accessories. If I cancel my order, I have to return my accessories.. if it wasn’t for that, I would of been cancelled. Oh well

Not based on my own and others experiences here. We ordered through Premier 34 minutes after pre-order open on 10/27 and have 12/4-12/18 ship dates. No choice but to stick with AT&T since corporate grandfathered price. Two are SG 256 and one SG 64. Sigh.

Unfortunately, they don’t have any in stock where your at or around you. But most likely because it’s the weekend. I would check tomorrow very early and throughout the day as Apple will will be getting shipments in. But this is the process. Once after you go through this, everything is self explanatory. You get to pick where to pick up and what time you want to make your appointment according to what slots they have. If they don’t have one for pickup at Tyson’s Corner, click where it says check availability in other stores. Good luck and I’m sure you will find one before Nov. 17. Make sure you download the App Store app.
