I ordered on 10/17 around 9:15. Got shipping info and Friday and it's currently waiting to be received by UPS. So you guys should ship soon!!

Tell me about it, 4:47 order time. Space Gray 256. Still in progress with Nov 2nd-Nov 10th. My wife got her Silver 64gig on launch day and she likes rubbing it in. LOL

256 Silver here too. I called sales (800-331-0500) to get someone to confirm that "paid in full" preorders aren't charged to the credit card until shipping rather than at pre-order. Took forever, having to re-listen to every order detail I already knew. Finally confirmed that a hold is placed on the credit card and isn't charged until shipping. I'd imagine I'll be one of the unfortunates that don't get any shipping info until the morning of delivery.

I have a mean headache.
 
Mine came with a return label and strip of tape but no instructions. I just called AT&T and they said to use that label, and box the iPhone X came in. Said be sure to get receipt from USPS just in case. Sending in phone only, no accessories.

Interesting..the printed instructions I got with all three X’s said specifically do NOT include anything in the box except the old iPhone...no accessories, no SIM card, no packaging. Make sure the iPhone is wiped and Find My iPhone is turned off.

The instructions did say get a receipt from USPS.

You will probably get a text from them once they receive the iPhone. My advice is to keep that text!!! One year I got the “We got it” text, then 10 days later got a “We DIDN’T get it, and we’re charging you for the remaing Next balance” text. Wtf?!?

I went to the local AT&T store and showed them the ‘We got it” text. After making a few calls they credited my acccount for the full amount. Whew!!
 
I ordered at 7:59 EST so I hope mine ships soon. I am checking the Apple store hourly to see if they get any stock.
Which version did you order? Mine is the Silver 256.

I ordered the Space Grey 64. Not sure if it matters but mines also being shipped to my local AT&T retailer instead of my home.

I don’t think it makes a difference.

I’m doing a 256 GB silver getting shipped to my house, meanwhile my friend is getting hers shipped to the store, both with a 11/2-11/10 ship date that’s still in progress.

So I tried to order a phone through Apple and they say I am not eligible for NEXT. Meanwhile I can order though NEXT on ATT's website. Anyone seen this before? What's up with that?

If you had a pre-order through AT&T with Next, I think the SOP is that you need to cancel your order with a sales rep directly over the phone or else it won't reinstate your eligibility right away.
 
I have not seen anyone post that has a December delivery date. Am I the only one?

I also have December dates. I ordered at 3:30am eastern and got a November 3rd date. Then I got an email at around 7am with the December dates. I’m a Premiere customer and this is the price I pay for getting a pretty good deal on my monthly plan.

I know I've tried and they told me that unless they miss the ship date times that they couldn't do anything.

In my case, it seems like the best shot you have is finding one in store, then canceling the order. I’m a Premier customer so that’s not even an option for me.

There’s literally none in the state . The corporate stores didn’t even get any on launch day and the 12 Apple stores have none. I live in Delaware so small state = no love in terms of getting units

Was going to send mine back in but got $480 from GameStop for my 7+. Will pay off the remaining balance and still make a little profit. Also, was very hesitant to mail it in because of exactly your situation.

That's my case exactly. Ordered at 3:34 ET and got a Nov 3, then a dec 4-18. Premier also. SG 256.

They said two things to me on the phone today. First is that it was billing related and that it was declined then reprocessed. Then that person’s supervisor told me that it had to do with a team that sets the phone up for activation having to “push” the order through. I didn’t know what to do and they weren’t going to fix my delivery date, so when my car infotainment system restarted in the middle of this conversation with ATT, I just let it go lol.
 
I saw the phone I preordered available at an Apple Store at 6am on Saturday but decided not to be that guy.

You mean "that guy" who got his phone 2 days ago instead of continuing to be frustrated that ATT hasn't shipped yet? Not sure why you think you owe ATT anything...

It's more of a concern of further screwing things up, not being able to get it canceled, the hassle of having to return a phone that I was unable to cancel, something going wrong with the Apple order again. Just a little gun shy, I guess.

I didn't intend to throw shade on those who successfully made it work.

Speaking from past experience and from several AT&T pre-orders, it will do you absolutely, positively NO good in wasting your time.
