att still shows nov 3rd for all of the Xs, while all the other sites are weeks out. I have a feeling some of us are in for a huge letdown. especially since I got in at 1201 but took me 30 min just to check out because the options kept screwing up (no way to choose att next without 20 refreshes, addresses wouldn't populate, credit cards weren't showing, it even had me upgrading a line I canceled a year ago for some reason at first--totally bizarre)

Your email from them has 4 or 5 agreements attached. The first few showed 64 Space Grey for me and the the last 2 showed what I actually (I think) ordered.

Pretty sure in the panic of getting the order in I never changed the storage on one order from 64 to 256 :(
 
It took me a little over an hour. Total freaking joke. AT&T makes billions and can't get their commerce servers under control for a big launch?

Finally got through, and got a Silver 256GB scheduled for November 3rd.

Nightmare process from AT&T side and Apple site.

The site (premiere) finally said "it's your turn" and let me in. I placed my order (Silver 256) at 12:34 and still got a confirmation email saying Nov. 3rd! Apple's site was already showing 4-5 weeks.

my email confirmation is stamped 2:57am but i just went back into the store to see and pre-orders now as of 4:07am still state 11/3 delivery.

anyone with past att pre-order experience?

Your phone is still coming directly from Apple at this juncture.
 
I'm an AT&T Business customer so I had to order through Premier. Like the iPhone 8, I was expecting Apple to allow customers to purchase the iPhone X at full price on their website/app without needing to verify with a carrier account (Apple's website doesn't recognize AT&T Business accounts). As soon as I realized they were requiring a carrier log-in for AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint models, the T-Mobile version had already slipped to 2-3 weeks.

Anyways, I'm glad I had Premier loaded. As soon as it let me in, I was able to order a 256GB Space Gray for November 3 delivery. I'm surprised at how long the Nov. 3 delivery date held for that model. I didn't get my order in until 12:31.

Same here. My Premier order didn't complete until 12:27 and I ended up with a November 3 delivery. Whew..

got in right away, got the confirmation screen with an order number but foolishly didn't save it. Now no order shows up in their system and I didn't receive a confirmation email. However, the account I was using for the Next every year trade-in no longer shows as available for an upgrade so I hope everything just needs to catch up. Would really like that confirmation email so I can go
WOW! I've ordered through ATT every year it was available to do so and I wanted a new phone and this was BY FAR the easiest it's ever been.

From my past experience (was with 6 plus) from att site it was extended by weeks. Could just have been my luck tho.

It is interesting that Apple.com is now showing 4-5 weeks for most models, but AT&T says either "Delivers Nov. 3" or "Ship by: Nov 02 - Nov 10." I guess we'll see what happens.
 
I ordered mine at 3:42 and got a confirmation email rather quickly. Mine says delivery for Nov. 3 too which I don't really trust but I'm hoping for. I ordered 256GB Space Grey. It just says iPhone X on the "check my order" page though...

I got in about 10 mins early and got a Nov. 3 delivery but in my haste to check out didn't realize AT&T auto corrected my shipping address. Anyone know if this can be changed?

The Apple Store App gave me the zip error on both 1up and AT&T so I ended up ordering an unlocked T-mobile (10-17 Nov)

Now... Meanwhile I had the iPad app open and had been on quee since 12:00. It finally let me in around 12:30 and I placed my order, did gave me like everyone Nov. 3 delivery date.

Followup. . .was able to get a live chat person to check my order. She said to check my spam box and low and behold there was my confirmation email. She checked the order number and said everything looked right, even though I couldn't yet see it in my order status. Hope all is still well. . .

Same issue here, i went so fast through it i am not even sure what color i got :p

but realized i didn't update my current address on file
and its going to an old address

You're not the only one dude. I have no clue what version I ordered.
 
Maybe the Nov 3 date held because so many people had trouble getting their upgrades to show up. I couldn’t figure it out. I checked weeks ago to make sure I had upgrades and then the site said I wasn’t eligible. Took me until 3:27:14. I’m hopeful for a launch date delivery but I won’t be surprised if it’s delayed.

Here’s to the start of a stressful but entertaining week. Can’t wait to see the first “Its shipped” threads and watching people checking their bank account for charges and seeing people track FedEx and UPS flights.

Still says I have Nov 3 delivery date. Haven’t received confirmation email yet but the order shows up in my account.

The site went haywire and was giving me problems trying to order this thing. First, it wasn’t even offering me AT&T Next option, saying only full price option was available. Then after some reloads and a little patience AT&T Next appeared but oh wait, now it wants me to pay off my iPhone 7 when I was already eligible for upgrade after 12 payments. After some more craziness I was finally able to get past the BS and do my upgrade as normal (I think).

It never gives me the option for ATT Next, just full price. How’d you get it to work?

This is my fifth preorder with ATT and have received as promised on launch date. The times I got a later delivery date I got the phone earlier than promised. Very weird the date hasn't slipped yet so not sure what to make of it. Unless most people went via apple.

Anyone else having an issue with paying enough on a device in order to be upgrade eligible? One of our lines got royally screwed up by ATT (Preordered the 7 Plus last year and somehow it is "a payment behind," unlike the other 5 iPhones that were preordered the same day) and I tried to upgrade and process the $40 due. It processed, but the line still isn't upgrade eligible, saying I owe $40 or I can buy it outright. I ordered a phone from Apple at full-price, hoping that they will let me change my order to ATT Next Every Year.
4 of the 5 phones were successfully ordered. One just had to cause a problem...
