Anyone with experience ordering directly from AT&T? Do their launch day delivery orders usually arrive on launch day or am I gonna get an email in a few days saying sorry your order is delayed.

I order the iPhone 7 Plus last year Matt Black 256 GB for me and then Silver 128 GB for my fiance and hers arrived on launch day, mine was not until about a month later despite being ordered first.

So, this year, I ordered the 256 GB silver iPhone X and I was fortunate enough to get my order placed for delivery on November 3rd. Here's hoping that I get it on the promised date.

Premiere 3:16am Eastern and have a 11/2 Expected ship date for Silver 256. Email confirmation came within 4 mins.
 
Damnit. I think I accidentaly ordered a 64 instead of a 256. Now I need to figure out how difficult this is gonna be to change.
 
I got in right away with the iPhone Apple Store app at 1:03AM, but my saved "favorite" iPhone X version in my account wouldn't load - everyone said pick your phone in advance and save it as a favorite to your account, but that didn't work as the favorites page wouldn't load and gave errors.
So I started to pick the phone from scratch, but on the last step kept getting "An error occurred trying to fulfill your request". Finally I got a reservation number given to me at 1:12AM MTN Time because they couldn't contact AT&T carrier system, but the message said that they have reserved an iPhone X for me and they'll email me back to complete my order. I'm glad I caught a screen capture, because this reservation number didn't show up in the system yet and I didn't get any kind of confirmation email.
The Apple Store app on my iPhone 7+ won't let me pre-order for a carrier that I don't already have service with, and I usually buy the unlocked Verizon phones to use with AT&T because it includes CDMA in case I ever switch carriers. The iPhone X for Verizon has all of the AT&T bands, where some years the Verizon phones would be missing 1 seldom used or a new AT&T LTE band.
I may just let the reservation slide after 24 hours by not responding to their upcoming email to finish the order, and wait to be able to pick one up in the store later that's made for Verizon, that supports all carriers.
 
Couldn’t get through with the Apple app, but got in with att...however, I did it so fast, I didn’t see the option for choosing which next plan and it didn’t collect credit card info for the tax. Will they just automatically bill me or since I have autopay directly from my bank account for the bills, they’ll just deduct it there?

Got the email confirmation for delivery by November 3. 256gb silver (I think...did it do fast, not so sure what I got)
 
Got through on the att website first. So did my preorder through there. Completed around 3:19 with a nov 3rd estimated delivery date. Only thing is it wouldn’t give me the option to make a down payment, so I will have to figure that out. Anyone know how to change my order so I can make a down payment on the phone?

got in right away, got the confirmation screen with an order number but foolishly didn't save it. Now no order shows up in their system and I didn't receive a confirmation email. However, the account I was using for the Next every year trade-in no longer shows as available for an upgrade so I hope everything just needs to catch up. Would really like that confirmation email so I can go to bed. . .

Absolutely blown away... managed to order several phones thru Premier website and even the last one I finished at 3:50AM EST is showing a confirmation with delivery on Nov 3rd. Happy camper here!

256GB Space Gray here.

Still says I have Nov 3 delivery date. Haven’t received confirmation email yet but the order shows up in my account.

The site went haywire and was giving me problems trying to order this thing. First, it wasn’t even offering me AT&T Next option, saying only full price option was available. Then after some reloads and a little patience AT&T Next appeared but oh wait, now it wants me to pay off my iPhone 7 when I was already eligible for upgrade after 12 payments. After some more craziness I was finally able to get past the BS and do my upgrade as normal (I think).
 
Apple site couldn’t contact carrier but I got through on att. It’s an hour later. I wonder if they have all these phones or if they pushing people back
 
Hmm Apple store says 4-5 weeks now yet it seems att says nov 3rd still, wonder what that means?

Anyone able to put a down payment on the phone through att?
 
Got in before apple store loaded for me and got 256 SG and silver at 12:11 and 12:15 Nov 3 delivery date

Finally got through. I was all logged in before, but then everytime i tried ordering it, it would ask for my log in credentials.

After almost an hour it finally excepted my credentials and i got my preorder through, though ship date says November 2-november 10. So I guess Im getting on the 10th, I'm fine with that.

Also, not sure if I need to do anything. In my troubles logging in, I tried the apple store app and preordered there, but it said they couldn't reach at&t and would reserve a phone for me and that it would be 2-3weeks out. However it never asked for my credit card info to charge me the tax nor have i gotten a confirmation e-mail yet, I already got one from at&t.

Is there anything I should look at?
 
i went via att's site, HORRIBLE i had a 2 minute wait time in "line" but the site bugged out, managed to get mine in 10 minutes ago still getting a nov 3 date but i feel like thats going to extend very soon.
 
how reliable is att with their shipping on release date?

my email confirmation is stamped 2:57am but i just went back into the store to see and pre-orders now as of 4:07am still state 11/3 delivery.

anyone with past att pre-order experience?

I'm an AT&T Business customer so I had to order through Premier. Like the iPhone 8, I was expecting Apple to allow customers to purchase the iPhone X at full price on their website/app without needing to verify with a carrier account (Apple's website doesn't recognize AT&T Business accounts). As soon as I realized they were requiring a carrier log-in for AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint models, the T-Mobile version had already slipped to 2-3 weeks.

Anyways, I'm glad I had Premier loaded. As soon as it let me in, I was able to order a 256GB Space Gray for November 3 delivery. I'm surprised at how long the Nov. 3 delivery date held for that model. I didn't get my order in until 12:31.
