All anyone can do at this point is a couple of things, frankly it is the reality of the situation.

1. Keep your pre-order with AT&T and wait.
2. Keep your AT&T pre-order and stop into your local retailer (Best Buy, AT&T, etc) and check morning noon and night to see if they have one. Then cancel your pre-order in store and reset your eligibility.

Emailing means nothing and is not effective, they don't care really. In the end they will say whatever it takes to deflect blame onto Apple, Carriers, my dog died, or every excuse in the book as will any other carrier.

If you want to get your point across show up in an AT&T retail store and ask for the manager. Chances are at the largest store you will have someone in regional management there. Vent your frustration to them (in my case I'm a Premier order so I know our Fortune 500 is really pissed). At the end of that you can feel better about your situation at least.

Emailing and Tweeting means nothing to them, they are just in response management mode with canned lame responses everyone has heard before. I wish all of us best of luck today and thru the weekend on the hunt for our phones.

Bummed. Everyone getting their phones. Well I know to order from Apple from now on not AT&T at 3:15AM.

Wonder where my plus is.

yea that does not always work if you have a bussiness account you can not order directly from apple and have to go through at&t premier site I found that out after having two iphone plus's on hold with apple to only find out that i could nothing with them.

People who orders from Apple at noon the next day have their plus phones its not right.

Ol' trusty "Marissa" the CSR...

Just beating a dead horse with all of this info but I figured some may find this useful.

Spoke with our good ol' friend "Marissa" on the chat line...

Andrew: What's going on with the iPhone 6 Plus pre orders, I pre ordered at the time they were available to do so.
Marissa: I apologize for the inconvenience. We have seen tremendous demand for the new iPhone models from the very moment they became available to pre-order. Apple and it’s manufacturing partners are working hard to fulfill the demand for these exciting new products. Orders are processed in the order that they are received and I assure you that we’re working diligently to fulfill all orders as quickly as possible.
Marissa: There has been a mess up with the iPhone pre order shipment dates, due to so many pre orders being submitted. As long as you pre ordered your device between 9/11 and 9/13 your device should be ready for shipment on 9/19, unless their were issues after you submitted your order.
Marissa: The previous message states as long as you pre ordered your device between 9/11 and 9/13, your device should be ready for shipment today, unless their were issues after you submitted your order.
Andrew: Let me get this correctly, so you're saying as in "ready for shipment 9/19" meaning to be shipped out today for delivery hopefully some time soon/next week?
Marissa: All of the pre orders came with courtesy over night shipping, so you will either receive the device tomorrow or Monday 9/22.

All hope is lost for me, and many today... But we must look forward to what our future holds...

Whats wrong is the lack of communication from corporate. NO announcements have been made/ Just a big FU to its clients.

that's the biggest pile of crap I've seen so far. Why does mine still say 11/9-11/27 then Marissa? ****!

I agree with you; they likely won't do much in response if anything.

I would recommend not to cancel preorders at this point. It seems stores are getting a handful if any 6+ at canceling your might delay it that much longer. And, who knows, they might still arrive today regardless of online statuses.

I actually was so mad I wnet to Verizon and they said they didn't have any 6+ for sale either. I am forced to wait either way. They got us good....

I don't think leaving AT&T for Verizon , for me, would be about getting the phone. It would be more about using my $$$ to show my displeasure for the (lack of) customer service given by AT&T and showing them that their antics have consequences.

Getting the phone earlier would be a bonus

I think the moral of the story for all of us is to avoid AT&T for pre-orders moving forward. I've been with the company since cingular days and even before that, when cingular was voicestream. Pre-orders on the iPhone isn't really AT&T's strong point, but it's never been this bad in as far back as I can remember.

The irony of it all is that you can still pre-order, even as people are getting shipping estimates going all the way into Thanksgiving. They obviously have every intention of milking this for all it's worth. 'Pay us now, you'll get your phones eventually, but don't worry, if you don't have one you can still pre-order.' Ridiculous. I should have just waited until the Apple site was up and running. Shame on me for not going with my gut from the beginning.

If what u say is true then there are over ~ 400,000 iPhone 6+ only and that too only for AT&T but acc to apple sources 1.5 million new iPhones are in the us today, don't know only for Apple.

my chat agent wasn't reading from the same script. hopefully marissa's fantasy comes true.

At some point, if there is enough noise made, someone is going to have to make some sort of announcement, no matter how much they are placating. There is literally no end in site. You all understand that the 10/2-10/13 will just get pushed back again, right?

Stopped at local AT&T store just for kicks. Only 3 others in line ahead of me. Employee said they had gotten one 6+, 64GB silver. First two guys got a 6, and the guy right ahead of me took the 6+. :(

Oh well, I guess I wait now for my pre-order. I ordered the 64GB gold anyway so at least I will get the color I want now.

I will say that they had the 6 on display at the store and it was gorgeous! A little bigger than I thought it would be so the 6+ is gonna be a beast! :D

I think most folks tried to order off the Apple store but since it seemed to be down chose ATT for fear of having to wait- which of course is what happened anyway. :(

I had planned on Apple but loaded AT&T as a backup plan. AT&T started working 15 min early. I cringed and filled out the order at AT&T, constantly checking Apple at the same time hoping they'd open early and I'd have an out.

From 3-3:15 I checked Apple wondering if I had made the wrong choice, but it didn't load. Thought I had made the right choice. Nope.

I feel your pain man, I think the Apple site didn't open back up until at least an hour after midnight, if not more. I think that's the reason many of us ended up going through ATT first. Had the Apple site been functioning at the time, many of us would be having our phones by now. Oh well.
