Again, I already stated I realize special services (2 day, overnight, etc.) do get delivered from each carrier on Saturdays and Mondays. I stand corrected on that.
Let me rephrase - FedEx does NOT deliver normal ground packages on Mondays and UPS does NOT deliver normal ground packages on Saturdays.
Source: myself over a decade of receiving hundreds of deliveries.
Since you are a UPS driver maybe you can shed some light here. I am fairly serious hobbyist automotive builder/fabricator. I buy dozens of auto parts/tools/accessories each month and have been for 10+ continuous years. Needless to say almost all of these items are shipped to me UPS or FedEx ground service.
Why do NONE of my UPS items EVER get delivered on Saturday? And NONE of my FedEx items EVER get delivered on Monday? I can watch the tracking on these items and there is ZERO movement from UPS on Saturday or FedEx on Monday. Again, I have been observing this for over 10 years now.
If I order a part from Rock Auto on Monday, and it ships Tuesday via UPS. Arrives into the Mesquite UPS hub very late Thursday night. Without fail there will be zero movement on this package on Friday and without fail the package will be delivered to me on the following Monday. Same thing with FedEx just substitute the Friday "dead day" with Monday.
For this reason, I actually prefer FedEx over UPS because with FedEx I know the Saturday gives me that extra day and I don't waste my weekend waiting for a part.
So are both UPS and FedEx for some bizarre reason singling only me out and screwing me over?
