Still no phone, tracking number, information or actual billing (other than the authorization on my credit card). But I did just get my cheapo case delivered that will carry me through until I can get a legit Otterbox. The 6+ is huge.

I'll be holding this damn empty case all night long, pretending it's my actual phone.

6+ Silver 128GB. Started at 2 am central. Completed at 2:31 am from site problems. I've moved from 10/31 group to 10/2 group,but that's the last update I have.

I'm 100% convinced that maybe the only people if any that have any clue what is happening is the logistics people shipping orders...and they are the people we can't communicate with. The CSR's all the way up to the top are clueless. They don't have an answer and no one really seems to know how this got F'd up or we would know by now.

I'm premier, ordered 2 phones by 2:08 am CST, 1 64 6+ SG and 1 64 6+gold. Was originally given 10/13-10/22, was charged the preauthorization but then that disappeared, was moved to 10/2-10/13 and my cancel button went away. Now the cancel button is back. No tracking info at all and I saw someone post my EXACT order with tracking info for delivery today when they ordered over a day later. Never have felt more screwed over by a company.

There is no way that the upper echelon is unaware of what's transpiring here. That said, the CSR's know nothing and that's what the executive level wants.

This is a pretty crappy situation obviously but not the end of the world. I just hate being treated this way by a vendor who I pay for goods and services and pursuant to that, will be discontinuing my service with them as soon as I can. I have a family plan with 5 lines and to cancel all of them would cost me over $1200. So I will wait until each line comes up for renewal (some of them very soon) and switch them to a different carrier.

I was even confirmed 5 minutes after ordering. I'm not even going to waste my time calling in or chatting. I do, however, want my activation fees waived. lol

Call 611, I just called and simply told them I ordered Iphone 6+ at 2:53AM and been screwed like others, and said 'I want my upgrade fee waived'. He didn't ask twice and took care of it like a good little boy he is.

Just be patient guys. I canceled my order this morning and picked one up in the store. It's well worth the wait

Just make sure you say in straight voice 'Waive my fee motherfreaker', don't beg or ask, just remind their ass who the boss is, YOU!
 
I ma in the same boat as well...

Ordered at 220AM CST. confirmation came in at about 3AM CST.

sitting at the 2 Oct- 13 Oct window.

I think the fault lie with their eCommerce platform. It seems it was overloaded by the number of orders placed in the early time window. Instead of processing orders or just developing a lag between orders it looks like it cached orders until resources freed up.

as resources freed up it looks like it continued processing both the new orders being placed and the ones it had cached.

In short... their IT department needs to be handed pink slips for not load balancing and not testing prior to AT&T's biggest sales day of the year.

also be sure to include my screen capture of my conversation with Athina in your conversation. In general i have no problems with AT&T, i think this mess could have been handled better if they had processed orders in the order that they were received, and also communicated. I can understand if i have to wait... just give me an accurate indication of how long i would wait.

Thier IT needs to be ran out the door right now, how the hell could they have done that. I am in IT also and i even know you need Load Balancing...This explains what happened. Thanks for the info, i am going to jump off a bridge now.

what activation fees? i have not seen that, when you upgrade to "next" do you have a activation fee?
 
Two minutes before you, and the same thing with me, exactly the same. I understand that there are shortages and AT&T is having problems fulfilling these orders, but at least tell us, and why did others who ordered many hours later, get theirs? That is my biggest issue here.

Cause the servers didn't have load balancing..WOW i hate them

What kind of policy is that!? It is already bad enough they can't tell me what is coming, but they can't even tell me what they have sold or even if they had one?!?

AT&T is on my **** list right now. I've been wanting to call and complain, but I'm trying to gather up what I would tell them. Haha

Tell them you are extremely unhappy with how they are handling this whole situation but be respectful at the same time. But you have to get your point across one way or another. Don't threaten to cancel unless you are prepare to do so, it would be the last resort but it can work out for you sometimes (credit to your account, etc).

I waited in line last night and they treated us like ****. And taunted us with their demos before launch. They refused to talk to us.
 
To me, it isn't so much that I didn't get my phone, it the attitude of "Well we told you October, so it's going to be October" as if blind to the fact that if someone wakes up at 2-3 am to order a phone on the internet, they are doing so because they expect it to be there on launch day, or ASAP.

You can't just assign a iPhone pre-order customer 10/2 - 10/13 bucket, and ignore them until that date comes around. Maybe that works for normal orders, but that isn't how the iPhone pre-order process is supposed to work. If I company is going to play the pre-order game, they have to play by the conventions established by Apple (i.e. if you put in an order at 3am, you get a phone at your door on launch day). If you don't, its going to look terrible for you in comparison to every company who plays the game the way it is supposed to be played.

I mean, when my phone arrives in October, I don't think I'll be as excited anymore. AT&T is a fun sucker. They suck the fun out of everything.

I tried to find out their stock before I waited in line and wasted my time. They opened at 8 and I asked at 7:45 what they had so I could either cancel my preorder or take my ass home. They refused to tell me. Only 3 people including me got the phone they wanted (64gb sg +)

Wtf? What do they have to lose saying whether they sold one or not? Although nothing involving this makes sense.

I even stopped at best buy to see if something magical might happen and best buy told me they didn't get 1 6+ and only 60 6's. Does AT&T think no one will find out people got 6+'s today if they pretend no one got them. What morons are making the decisions? Dumbest thing I've ever heard.
 
Seriously AT&T, you text me to tell me at 4:53 today that there is a problem with my order?!?!? They are still waiting to hear from me when on 8:30 on Saturday they texted me to tell me my ordered had been processed and has been sent to the warehouse for shipment (this after issue with cc and billing address). ******* *** AT&T. :mad::mad::mad:

The website says my order is "preparing to ship" with a date range of 10/2-10/13.

AT&T is drunk or broken or both.
