Wtf? What do they have to lose saying whether they sold one or not? Although nothing involving this makes sense.

I even stopped at best buy to see if something magical might happen and best buy told me they didn't get 1 6+ and only 60 6's. Does AT&T think no one will find out people got 6+'s today if they pretend no one got them. What morons are making the decisions? Dumbest thing I've ever heard.

My store is the same way. *******s

I tried to find out their stock before I waited in line and wasted my time. They opened at 8 and I asked at 7:45 what they had so I could either cancel my preorder or take my ass home. They refused to tell me. Only 3 people including me got the phone they wanted (64gb sg +)

I just don't get it. How hard would it be to actually be kind to their customers? All it takes is a bit of respect and understanding for them to treat us better. Just because they are multi billion dollar company, they think they can just **** with us all they want. It is no way to run a business and It's extremely shameful.

cancelled

I wasn't able to preorder until around 9am so I didn't expect to get the 6+ today. Originally I had an 11/9 -11/27 shipping date, but held on for an earlier date. Got one--very late October. The preauthorization dropped off my CC, but that is what many of you reported, so I wasn't too upset with that. The cancel order button disappeared from my Premier order status, but a lot of you reported that. Then it returned, which a lot of you reported. So I was still hopeful for an October delivery.

Today my ship time went back to 11/9 - 11/27. The cancel preorder button worked quite well, thank you very much. Ordered from Apple, an unlocked SG 64GB 6+. Delivery estimate October 20.

This is what I should have done to begin with. Sorry I didn't. I may add this phone to my ATT plan, but maybe I'll go Verizon. My travels take me to places where TMobile doesn't have service so that option doesn't make sense for me.

So, I'm a little confused about something and maybe y'all can help me with this.

I am a retail manager and have ran a retail logistics team before. I was just looking at all of the UPS planes that are currently flying out of Alaska and heading towards Kentucky. My thought is: Why would Apple schedule all of those planes to land in such a short period of time? That creates a glut of freight to handle in a short period of time. Why not schedule them out across the entire day?

It just strikes me as bizarre. I'm not on the ground there, so there may be a legit reason for it. I just can't figure out what it is.

If you are free from contract, take your money to Verizon. There is absolutely no reason why you should stick with AT&T if you can help it. Verizon's reception and coverage is just as good if not better than AT&T and they aren't as big of cokmunchers as AT&T.

funny thing is in the past 2 days i have gotten autopay enrollment messages( TXT), both saying the same thing.. So i figured i would call to see why? so after waiting over 40 mins the guy finally answer the call and say oh thats because you iPhone 6 plus is activated on your line?! so i said so they have a serial number attached to it?!
He proceded to say the order was finished and waiting to be shipped but could get me a tracking number then back tracked and said i will be getting a shipping email when its ready to ship and that it wasn't ready to ship?!

anyone that has gotten their phones get this message? i got one yesterday then my wives iPhone 6 showed up.. maybe a good sign?

Question... don't know anything about Verizon, but got our 6 and 6+ (whenever it gets here) through AT&T. If I just pay the phones off immediately, once unlocked I can carry them over to Verizon?

Or easier to cancel hers, take my 6 back to a local AT&T store, and start fresh at Verizon albeit it with an even later shipping date than we have now?

I feel your pain, but not as much as for those who waited until 12:00 straight up to start hitting the web sites. Those that ordered at 12:01 and aren't getting theirs (it took me until 12:40 to get on anywhere) are more wronged than those who hopped in early, IMO.

edit: OP was probably not looking for sympathy, so I corrected ;)

My orders were completed 5 minutes before midnight....

I could be wrong on this, but AT&T phones use different radio bands than Verizon, so it probably won't work. You might want to double check though.

I got that text earlier this week...i was almost worried my account got hacked, but that would make sense that it is somehow tied to the new phones getting activated. now if they could just tell me where my box with the phone is....

Well crap. That option only popped in my head as I just checked her order and the cancel order button wasn't there.

President's Office

Someone from the President's Office called me to talk about my email. He was very interested in my assertion that people ordering hours later than me received their phones today. He asked me to email him the link to this forum.

I did so, but I also sent him the link to the spreadsheet someone on here created (sorry, I don't remember who created it, but kudos and thank you!)

For what it's worth I ordered two 64gb Gold 6 Pluses within the first 5 minutes of launch and I am stuck in 10/2 hell.

That's great news. You should tell him some more specific information, this thread is pretty damn long by now and mention that these orders were sent out mostly on Wednesday.

I hope they get to the bottom of this.

Regarding your email below to AT&T Chairman, Randall Stephenson, I understand that you placed a preorder for the Apple iPhone 6 Plus 16GB in Space Grey on 9/12/2014. All iPhone 6 Plus preorders started immediately as 14-21 business days shipping. Our Premier site showed this expectation, as well as, your order confirmation email should have shown 14-21 business days.

We have been able to fulfill the standard iPhone 6 for shipping today, however the soonest that we will have the iPhone 6 Plus in our warehouse will be in time to accommodate a 14-21 business day shipping turnaround. Preorders will ship in the order received once the inventory is in our warehouse.

While we never like to hear of a poor experience, we value the feedback and we use it to assess what needs to be done to prevent future occurrences. I thank you for taking the time to contact AT&T.

Warmest regards,

hes gonna laugh at that spreadsheet bc a lot of the dates on there are from before preorders even started and some are for dates that havent even come up yet.

I did mention to him that they all got their tracking numbers on Wednesday. You're right about this thread being really long. Do you have any specific examples I could email him?

Give me few min, I'll go back and try to find which pages contained screenshots of tracking number.

This is infuriating. So they are claiming that not a single preorder for a 6+ has gone out, YET SOMEHOW they have stock in corporate stores to sell? Then why the **** did their site claim "the fastest way to get your new iPhone is to preorder online from AT&T"? And why are they the only carrier incapable of shipping ANY 6+ on launch day?

That's what they told me too when they called. I tried to tell them that I understood but what we are talking about is the fact that people who ordered hours after us, got phones today. They don't seem to get it. I do feel where they are coming from though. Apple keeps everything so tight and they don't tell the carriers information. It's typical Apple BS. All I know is that the more people cancel their orders, the more likely some of us will get ours sooner. What a mess!

Tell him to check out page 38~50. There are screenshots on 40, 42, 44, 45 that shows multiple Iphone 6+ that shipped out. There are more proof between 38~50, so that should be sufficient evidence that ATT did ship out +'s.

I ordered two iPhone 6 pluses, one space gray and one gold, both through AT&T. I received the gold today but nothing about my space gray. How is that possible if AT&T isn't sending any pluses out? I ordered the gold after my space gray so it clearly isn't a first come first serve system.

I sent the following to AT&T's chairman earlier:

Randall,

I'm writing to you to express my profound disappointment with AT&T over its handling of iPhone 6+ pre-orders. The past week has been deeply stressful, frustrating, and taxing for many of your customers, myself included. From my perspective, as a long-time customer, AT&T appears to be wildly disorganized, dysfunctional, and reliant on disjointed information systems.

When one stays up until 3 AM and successfully places an order within ten minutes of the opening of pre-ordering, one would reasonably expect to receive said product on the initial day of release. AT&T claims that orders are fulfilled on a first-come first-served basis, yet there are multitudes of reports (with supporting evidence) of individuals receiving their phones today who placed their orders many, many hours after other individuals who ordered early and who are not receiving their phones today. As such, this is not a matter of insufficient stock, this is a matter of AT&T not fulfilling pre-orders in the order in which they were received.

To compound matters even further:

* Your various information systems are reporting entirely different and contradictory statuses. The phone system is reporting "Backordered," one AT&T website is reporting "Preorder Processing," and yet another AT&T website is reporting "Preparing to Ship."

* Your online ordering system apparently let a significant number of individuals order prematurely, prior to the official pre-order starting time of 3 AM eastern. This means that folks who waited patiently for the official start time are being unfairly penalized by AT&T's acceptance of prematurely placed orders.

I'd like to emphasize that persons who stay up very late, especially on a work-night, to pre-order a product, are sending a message that what they are ordering is of extremely high importance to them, for one reason or another. In my case, my iPhone 5 is literally hanging on by a thread; I need to manually hold the charging cable in a certain position for it to even charge! I was depending on receiving the phone today so I would no longer have to suffer through this.

I've been a loyal AT&T customer since the first iPhone was released. Up until this week, I had been a happy AT&T customer. However, I must be perfectly candid that given the above, I am very strongly considering switching to Verizon, whose customers I understand not to have had experiences similar to those which are described herein.

Premiere order-totally screwed! Thanks AT&T! Just posted this on another thread for premier orders but wanted to post here as well:

Hey everyone,

Been lurking here since last Friday but gave up hope the past few days when people who ordered days later started receiving tracking info. I spent the day running around to at&t stores so I'm sorry if this has already been said...I ordered 45 minutes after preorders opened. It's true, they did have to manually renter our preorders once premier opened, and they were closed all weekend so mine 64g SG plus didn't get entered until Monday morning. Premiere finally gave me a straight answer today after I cancelled my preorder. They totally screwed us. I got a regular 6 today from an AT&T store, it's better than nothing I guess.

Not sure if this is Apple's fault for not giving AT&T enough of the 6+, of if AT&T just has that many more customers than the other carriers. In my quest today to non AT&T stores (3 Apple stores, 2 best buys & 2 target stores) they all had non at&t 6+ phones available, meanwhile the AT&T store that I started at this morning didn't receive any for their launch.

I think we all learned a valuable lesson, even if it takes 3 hours to get on, order from the apple site. Even though AT&T played with my emotions for a full week it could have been much worse. I could have camped out at an Apple Store and still not have gotten one.

Good luck everyone, I hope premier makes good and starts sending everyone's orders out ASAP

-PS:I also ordered a regular 6 at the same time, that one was also reentered on Monday but since they had enough stock of the regular 6 they were able to fill that order (got tracking on Wednesday night). It gave me false hope that my plus was going to come today too. Oh and the fact that my fedex package was 2lb had me hoping they were both together but nope. AT&T knows how to just drain all hope you have. I hate them, but their service is too good to leave!

**btw, two AT&T stores I was at today said they wouldn't be receiving more stock for another 2 months!! What BS. Now they're just blatantly being jerks
