Anyone canceling is more than likely making their lives that much more unmanageable. People are getting shipments earlier than the expected ship dates, and seems to me that people are settling for the smaller of the two phones because they are super impatient and screwing up the canceling process and putting themselves in a worse situation. I wonder what goes through your mind canceling through a system that's already plagued with issues. Let the process take it's course if you made it this far. I understand canceling and buying elsewhere has worked for a fair amount of you, but it just seems so much more a headache for anyone who has already come this far. Rant done, and I apologize now :)

Going with Apple as I should have done I'm the beginning.

My reasoning

To anybody who did the pickup option with apple, how long did it take for you to get a notification hat your order was ready to be picked up?

8 planes landed this morning to last night....people will get phones with the next 3 days..yet they are impatient...... i got tracking yesterday, and never wavered on cancelling...if they said phones were preordered on 12th and wouldn't ship to next week we wouldn't have any problem waiting, BUT bc others have gotten theres people are flipping out......

Note- i don't have mine yet either, ...i finally got shipping yesterday...i was frustrated too, but i understood, in due time it will work out....

GUYS...THE NEXT 3 DAYS are crucial...u will get your phones

I just spoke to an AT&T Rep on the 877-782-8870 line. After the automated system said I was "backordered", I waited for about ten minutes to speak to someone.

I made it a point to be very nice to the Rep. I specifically stated that I understand he's got to put up with a lot of angry people who are venting at him. But that I was aware that he was not the cause of any of my issues and I would not do so. He appreciated my being polite.

I asked him for the time AT&T shows my order was processed. I ordered at about 3:15am on 9/12 (6+; Space Gray; 128GB). He initially only told me my pre-order showed as 9/12 but I pushed a little bit and explained why I wanted the processing time. (Since AT&T is using that to determine order fulfillment.)

I suspect he had to go to another screen or some such to get that additional info. But since I didn't tick him off, he did. While I didn't get the text message congratulating me on my order being processed until 9:37am on Saturday 9/13, AT&T apparently shows the order processing time as 10:16am on 9/12.

So, now I have (what I consider) a rough idea of where I stand in the queue. Since none of the Apple Stores near me have ANY 128GB 6 Plusses in ANY color in stock, I have to sit and wait.

I keep telling myself "It's just an iPhone. My 5s still works beautifully. This is a very small grain of sand on the beach of life. Et cetera... But the little voice inside me shouts back (and it sounds like Smeagol/Gollum) "We wants it, my precious, we wants it NOW!" :)

about 90 minutes. Store doesn't open until noon, so I expected some delay, but it was faster than I thought. (got the notification at 10:45am).

If you successfully got the order through you have nothing to worry about. I placed my order about an hour before the store opened and it was ready 10 minutes after opening. I also had a friend who reserved his plus mid day, and waited about an hour or so for the email.

You shouldn't worry about the follow up email if you got your confirmation email. Your order is processed and fully charged at this point.:)

Also when i ordered it the nearest apple store was about 50 miles from me. I hope there is one closer to you, but the Plus is worth the long drive.

HAHA I feel the same way!

My inner Golum got the best of me though as I cancelled my order yesterday hoping to get it faster at a local Apple store. That backfired since my local stores had no stock this morning like they did yesterday. So I have an order now placed with Apple and in the "3-4 week" wait.

About an hour.

For the person who felt that canceling was just making life more unmanageable, I can say that in my case, it made things much easier. I canceled, eligibility restored immediately, found the exact model I wanted at the Apple Store 10 minutes from my house, and an hour or so later, had phone in hand.

Old news, I know, but my 6+ space grey 64 GB has shipped via Fed ex for delivery Monday. Preordered at 2:10 CST 9/19 and had a 10/13-10/25 initial delivery date that was moved to 10/2-10/13.

My partner got his gold 6+ on launch day that he ordered from Apple at about the same time I did. I got to play with it and handle it to gauge the size and I love it. I do think there may be some that think it is too big for them but I personally like it a lot.

I assume you aren't doing the Next plan, correct?

I ordered the same phone 10 minutes after you. What time did you get your email confirmation that morning?

You should just wait for the in-store pickup. Just keep checking. Thats what i did and got it yesterday. Also i didn't settle with a phone i didn't want like a lot of people are doing here. I got the same size color and model i always wanted from the start.

I plan on checking stock daily at the local stores. And I am trying my best not to settle either. I did that when I got the 5s so I really want to get the one I want this time.

I will not cancel my order...I will not cancel my order...I will not cancel my order...I will not cancel my order...I will not cancel my order...I will not cancel my order...

At what point did others know they could cancel their pre-order?

I have the button that everyone references, I then clicked it and it opened up a page and said - Do you want to confirm cancellation. I was worried about going through with it but wondered if people clicked that button previously and it immediately told them they couldn't cancel or if they had to click the confirmation button to find out it wouldn't go through.

Ordered at 12:02 PST. Iphone 6 plus 64GB gold. Ordered another at 12:30 PST. Iphone 6 plus 64GB SG. Dad ordered one at 12:45 PST - Iphone 6 plus 64GB gold. Friend ordered 11:58 PST same phone. All Premier customers, none of us have received a tracking number. 10/2-10/13 like many of you.

Just wanting to figure out to see if I can test the waters on canceling without canceling and see if its on the way.

the only way to do that would be to probably call customer service. there have been quite a few people on here referencing that customer service said they could not cancel the order, before the attempt was made I believe
