I guess I have gotten lucky cause the rep yesterday said the order was in progress. Today they said competed so that is a good thing.
 
Anyone else getting errors looking up order status on AT&T? This is the first time I've seen it... likely nothing.

Won the IP6+ lottery it sounds like, ah well, just hope they really don't wait until October to ship mine since my trade in quote will expire and the ATT trade in offer will expire.

Posted this in another thread but, a lot of iphone 6's are already in at ups and fedex. I know this cause I work for fedex, and talk to the ups guy in my area daily.

It looks like folks are getting tracking numbers without the shipping estimate dates being updated, so that means those estimates are worthless. I created a new form to help track when phones are being shipped to help estimate when other phones will be shipped.

We know about the regular 6's, we want to know about the 6 Pluses.
 
Just got off with AT&T for the second time in two days and got the same info. The shipping estimates are correct. Period. I want to be wrong but I really think they're right. Had the phones shipped for Friday, we would have received tracking numbers. AT&T never gave me the option for expedited shipping so at the very least, it could be some time next week. Oh well, I'll just have to settle for iOS 8 on my iPhone 5.

You could jailbreak your 5 and have fun trying stuff for a couple weeks if you are at the end of your warranty\Aplecare+ (if you got it at iPhone 5 release). This is a good time for those that are apprehensive about doing jailbreaks, as your new phone is on the way and you can always load the stock iOS 7.1.2 if things go screwy as you wait for your iPhone 6. Have some fun and make the most of the situation!

I had that in a previous form. It was interesting, but I'm pretty sure those estimates are way off due to people actually getting tracking numbers without those estimates changing. It would just add noise to the data if I included it.
 
Anyone on an account that has their spouse as the primary? I know you can't add new lines if your not the primary. Curious if I can upgrade though.

The reason I ask is should it come to going to the store Friday, I don't want to wait for hours for nothing to be told sorry we need your wife even though I'm on the damn thing.

If anyone knows, great. If not I'll have to contact support or something beforehand.

I just added a new line as an authorize user, and my wife is the primary on our account.

I totally agree. I think the shipping dates are accurate. I hoped and prayed during the iPhone 5 release. But the dates they gave me were correct and I got my 5 about 4 weeks after other people picked theirs up at AT&T in release day.

AT&T would rather sell the phones they have in stock at theirs stores on opening day.
 
Now the real deal about all this is adding the number of pages on this thread plus the 100 pages on the other thread that consists of regular and Plus orders, we're all going completely nuts over a device we all already own one just a bit smaller that practically does the same thing and after actually receiving the only important thing will be to tell or show others that we actually have the newer iPhone. We're all definitely crazy. :D

It's like this for any awesome tech you have to wait for. Previous iPhone launches were somewhat the same. The wait for the Oculus Rift DK1 and DK2 was just as crazy if not more ridiculous. It's like if you have a good product it will bring people to their knees waiting for it.

Yep. I went down to the AT&T store and they said their batch of phones was separate from the preorders.

So think about it...AT&T hypothetically says there are X number of 6+ phones, and 50% go to the preorders, and 50% go to the stores. Then Apple says, sorry, there aren't enough 6+'s to give out, we're cutting your expected number by a lot. Do you think AT&T will cut the stores number in half? No! The stores will still get what they were expecting, and the preorders will be left in the dark. They've already got the preorders hooked, so they want some walk in customers and they want them buying accessories.
 
I have no idea to be honest. I could have sworn this was all part of the Fair Credit Billing Act but apparently I was proven wrong. I do however know that most companies go by this policy including AT&T.

Well, whether or not it is true or legal or whatever, it clearly says on your "Thank you for your order" email that the charges will be processed on the date of shipping. Seems pretty clear that whatever the Fair Credit blah blah says or the government or anyone says, AT&T says it will not charge your card until the order ships. Below is what it says

***For preorders, charges will be processed on date of shipping and will include actual, applicable taxes, fees, and surcharges, which may vary from the quoted estimate.
 
My order # starts with 1012. What is the significance of the order number?

From what I've heard the first 4 numbers don't mean anything. Some people have claimed the numbers after are incremental and do signify when you ordered.
 
Super jealous of those who got updates on UPS My Choice. Congrats! I'm still eagerly refreshing both the AT&T Order Status page as well as my UPS My Choice calendar in hopes that one will change to show some sort of life.

Still coming up empty though... and so the refreshing continues!
