AT&T Contract status change

i have a question unrelated to anything, not looking for a pattern

but did everybodies upgrade or contract change already? mine said my contract is up two years from now so they used my upgrade. just thought it would be funny if your upgrade is already used but you wont get the phone for another month or two.

Mine is a two year contract and it no longer shows me eligible for an upgrade. For me this is a good thing as my clock starts clicking for the next upgrade.
 
I'm done reading these forums. I'll just wait it out. The phone is going to be awesome if I get it Friday, but it is going to be equally awesome if I get itearly/mid october.

I got iPhone 6 plus 128GB Space Grey. What am I going to do with all that space? I'm going to put about 10-15 full Bluray movies on it and just sync every bit of music I have. Download every premium app/game that I've bought. So when ever I need anything, I will never need to download it. And my calculation says that will only take up about 95GB. So I'll have about 20GB open for growth and that's plenty enough space for picture and videos. Plus, I'm going to China to study my masters degree next year, so I'll probably use this phone for the next 3 years.
 
Tried to do what Craig did and all the representative said to me is that I am part of the first batch and will be part of the first shipment, but still fall under the 10/13-10/22 date. He said there is a chance that I will receive it earlier, but depends on how many units they get.

So this would lead me to assume that anyone with an Oct. 2-13 ship date would also be in the first shipment?
 
Sean isn't as optimistic for me as Gilbert and Marissa were for some others, lol. I did, however, receive some strange comment about some e-mail Apple sent to them with "incorrect ship dates". I definitely don't know what that means:

Anyway, still in the same boat... nothing came through in UPS My Choice, and the 10/2 - 10/13 ship date. Hoping I win the lottery, nevertheless...
 
I wish someone from AT&T management comes out and clears the air.. I don't mind waiting, but atleast give me clear picture why other carriers are able to ship orders placed way after us.. If they have less stock allocated (which I doubt) just inform people.. Right now looks like they don't even bother or care for customers..

Well, I read a comment and see something that gets me excited for a Friday delivery.

then I read a post from "Debbie Downer" and get discouraged. it is a mental roller coaster and it is driving me crazy.

So......

I have decided to LET IT GO!!! (a little shout out to the Disney movie) and get my phone when I do.

My ETA is 10/14-10/22 and that date hasn't budged so I will just accept that I Wont be getting it launch day. If it comes early then YEA! If not, oh well. Whatareyagonnado?

I Hope yall all get yours FRiday. Post pictures of the 6+ because even though the 6 is just as good of a phone, I will be getting the 6+ and am only interested in seeing that one.

Yep, pre-ordered, got through at 3:05 so yes the different dates as well as everything else is confusing.

What will frustrate you even more is when people go to the store Friday and get a Gray 128g 6+ and post pictures of it on here.

LOL at you people bugging the AT&T reps online.....they know nothing....the iphone 5 launch was the same debacle when I ordered mine....finally got a tracking number and status change to shipping on the day before the actual launch date.....and received it on launch day......they know no more than any of us.....they are just looking at your order and telling you everything you already know....if you don't get a tracking number by thursday afternoon than all of us can go crazy....until than leave these poor minimum wage people alone lol:rolleyes:
 
Pretty bad statistics! The issue seems to be with AT&T's supply of 6+'s... Why would Verizon have a good stock to send out for launch day and not AT&T?

There's a part of me that believes Apple made very little +'s because this was going to their "see, we told you" phone." See, we told you iphone customers aren't interested in a 5.5" screen.. Unfortunately, it was massively popular...

That's the thing. As I mentioned earlier, any buffoon knew their would be a huge demand. Tbh I expected it to eclipse the 4.7. Still, apple has very very educated people who do nothing but collect and interpret this data. I don't doubt some of the best in the world.

That being said - they may have an excuse for this fiasco, but it isn't going to be "we thought the 5.5 was gonna flop"

Tell me about it.. It would calm everyone down if someone just says that our shipping estimates screwed up and we are working hard to correct and get your phones to you as soon as possible. At AT&T we value customers first.

Is it so hard to say.. I think it is too much to ask from them.. I wish I could change carriers but my company only refunds AT&T bills.. I am stuck..

Passcode not password. They have you associate a PIN number with your account as an extra level of security over the phone. I guess they assume if someone is diligent enough they can come up with the address/ birthdate / SSN stuff.

But yes, nobody is going to ask for your password.

Id much prefer this to getting the phone in two months and having my upgrade cycle start then. Matter a fact this is one of my main concerns.

Passcode not password. They have you associate a PIN number with your account as an extra level of security over the phone. I guess they assume if someone is diligent enough they can come up with the address/ birthdate / SSN stuff.

To be fair, with the increase in reso, power, and space.. Not to mention time itself - I'd anticipate games growing a bit themselves.

looks like a lot of people are getting there 6+ 64gb space greys which I heard is the most in demand. .This is promising since I cant get ups my choice due to address verification..

Id take that a step further and say anyone who ordered between 9/11 and 9/13 will be part of the first shipment :p

I think the screwy dates and the reps replies are two seperate issues. It's evident the dates have issues but I think when pre orders started att had no phones. As they are getting them, they are filling orders. I also think they are going to get quite a few but because they can't promise you something they don't technically have, just in case..... They err on the side of caution.

What I will say is if you don't have a tracking by Thursday evening - get your tail to the store or you have more patience than I.

Yea it's pretty shifty that they haven't tbh. Does att wireless have like a community manager twitter or something we can post on and rustle some feathers?
