I'm kind of bummed out.

Friday my order went into processing after over a month of backorder. Saturday morning I woke up to an email saying my order had been canceled. It didn't give a specific reason. It only that the issue was ONE of the following:

Invalid shipping address
Invalid credit card information
Duplicate order received
The item is no longer available

I have a feeling the issue was that we ordered from an AT&T authorized dealer. The rep had said he was going to have the phone shipped to the store instead of my home address. Perhaps AT&T canceled it because of that (Mismatch of my credit card/shipping address?) I very much doubt it was invalid credit card info, because they did charge my card the night I preorderd (9/16) and I have plenty of funds on the card to cover the cost.

I called the store Saturday but they said they had no issues getting other packages and there isn't anything they can do.

I waited all this time. Nearest Apple store is 100 miles away which appeared to have the model I wanted in stock this week but is now out. None in town. I get that stock is low and I was more than patient waiting as I was told from the day I preordered that it wouldn't arrive until November, but just outright canceling an order without trying to verify/change information is not a good resolution. Even more so after waiting all that time.

Anyway, I guess I'm just disappointed. I'm trying to decide if I should just restart the Preorder process (through Apple) or try my luck at getting it in town.

All I know is that, personally, I will never preorder with AT&T again for an iPhone launch. I'm not saying that you shouldn't, because there are plenty of people out there who got their phones already from AT&T. But there are also us who have been waiting for a long time, still waiting, or got our order canceled with no specific reason stated.

I know this is the thread for AT&T order status's- but has anyone who had it with AT&T first canceled and reordered through Apple? Was it faster?

Right now the site is estimating 3-4 weeks. Any one experience faster ship times?

if I was you i'd order a note 4 or nexus 6, both great phones and you won't have this waiting issue

I'd just like to add that those currently in your shipping window, look more towards the last day for any movement. Based on the history and my personal experience as well, I received no movement until the last day of my shipping window (others received even received it the day after).

Stick to the 877 # for legit updates, once you switch from back order hell to processing, you'll receive shipping confirmation within the next 48HRS. Good luck to all.

Hang in there Ginger!!!

I'm hanging. Hell. I've waited this long.

Order from Apple and choose to pick-up in store.

I've been using the iPhone since day 1, 2007. I briefly went to a Samsung Note when they first came out back in 2012 because I wanted to try something different. As a geeky user, I always felt like Android should appeal to me. I loved the hardware but the OS and app store just wasn't as polished as iOS. I had it for a week and returned it, then went back to iPhone.

I'm sure the OS is better these days. But i'm pretty set on the 6+

I'm In the exact same situation as you are. I had ordered on 9/13, cancelled on 10/31. I did reorder but the ship dates are out to 12/22 - 1/08. Totally unacceptable I did email the presidents office and complained the lady's respons was like it or take your business else where, real nice AT&T!

Being that you ordered and then waited for so long to cancel, I would have not even bothered re-ordering again. Iphone supply will be constrained all the way into the holiday season and into next year.

Can I ask, what was your original shipping date and why did you cancel? If I were you, I'd keep that order open and check sites like idevicechecker for any stock updates. Good luck.

I didn't cance att did said there was a problem with my order, took them 7 weeks to figure that out? My ship dates where 11/7 - 11/22. This is my only option using Next and my wifes upgrade.

Being Premier had no bearing at all, from what I could tell. There was a slight activation mishap which took about 10 mins for AT&T to resolve, but I believe that was because I am on a Mobile Share plan and that was not an option so we just chose random voice and data plans - I could be wrong though. Also, I'm not sure if "Business Premier" is different than my "Premier"...I am premier because of my discount plan through my employer. Hope that helps/answers your questions.

Thanks for the info.

My husband is the employer..we share a minutes plan. I have grandfathered unlimited data. I guess I will wait until the end of my shipping window (11/11) and see what happens. If nothing, maybe I will try Apple or change carriers.

If you're set on the iphone then you are set on waiting until next year (literally) at this point. I was only trying to help you get a good new phone soon

I appreciate it, but your "Next year (literally)" comment is incorrect. Apple.com just gave me a shipment time of 3-4 weeks. on the 128GB SG iPhone 6+.

If I went though AT&T again though, you would probably be right.

Good luck I hope you get it in 3-4 weeks but I was also quoted 3-4 weeks on 10/9 and so were a TON of other people.

If thats the the case, you still have 4 days in your shipment windows! You should be getting it soon!

It is the case, however I do NOT expect to get mine this week. My shipping window was 11/18-11/27, even though the AT&T person told me it would be 3-4 weeks. yeah good maths lady. There are still a lot of people on the list here that ordered before me, so until they get theirs I will still be waiting more than likely. That was my point, I was TOLD 3-4 weeks, it will NOT be 3-4 weeks before I get mine.

Well here's yet another AT&T horror story. My bank issued me a new check card. Called AT&T to change my payment info and they said they would have to enter a new order. This after waiting 6 weeks for my phone. WTF. Why couldn't they just adjust the payment info. They are truly screwed up!! I'm extremely mad. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise though as I will now try to find a phone at an Apple Store.

The sales rep at the AT&T Store where I ordered it told me 3-4 weeks. If he had it said that the estimated shipping time was 5-6 weeks through AT&T I would have ordered through Apple.

I was fully prepared to wait the month or so for my phone, but damn the shock when I saw 5-6 weeks when I logged in to pay my bill. I even checked Apple.com to make sure the dates didn't slip or something, but Apple still showed 3-4 weeks. Screw AT&T

Did you use a Chase card for the sales tax pre-approval? They cancelled a bunch of Chase card orders.

I'm kind of bummed out.

Understood, and yeah that sucks man. I think we can all agree that AT&T failed miserably with this launch. Last time I pre-order through AT&T, as I should have known better last time around. Next upgrade I'm definitely going through Apple, regardless of how long it takes for the site to update.

A word of note, since you're using Next, if you do find local stock one day, Apple doesn't let you do in-store pick up using Next. You will need to cancel and purchase the phone full price (2 year contract) just to reserve the in-store pick up, then once there, have them switch it over to the Next program. And again, good luck. #ATTFAIL

Same thing happened to me, except I ordered two iPhone 6+ SG 64 GB and ATT concealed one of them? Make things worse they cant tell me why!!!! I also had to change my CC info so I'm assuming that was it, but don't see why only canceling one?

So what are you going to do? Did you cancel your order?

So am I screwed or just lucky? Went into an att store yesterday 11/2 just to see what wait times where going to be to order a 6+. I really wanted a 64gb SG but wait times where 4-6 weeks. Then just for ***** and giggles I asked about the 16gb. And low and behold she told me the wait was 3-5 business days. So I pulled the trigger and went with the 16gb. Now I look at my bank account today (11/3) and my card has been charged and on att website it says preparing to ship with a shipment date of 11/5-11/7. So my question is that does that sound right. Do I need to go buy a lotto ticket tonight or is the inevitable going to happen and att jump out behind the bushes and say hahaha got you and hit me with a 4-6 week wait.
